We love George's. Anything that you order is wonderful. Our favs - the Greek Salad with Chicken. The patty melt is the best, Breakfasts are ALL great! Just go there - you will NOT be disappointed - I guarantee you!! They have the best and friendliest staff of anywhere we have ever been. George's has been around for years and it is NO wonder. Just went here the other night. Had chicken and waffles. Chicken was delicious and waffles were good. Had the waffles been a little crispier it would have been perfect. They were doing a fundraiser for a school dance team that night so good community involvement. Recommend it. read more

Listed as Greek place, but I would suggest for breakfast. Very extensive omlet menu, and great for a classic egg and bacon type breakfast. They have revamped the place a bit to cater to possible bar crowd. They now have proper booths, and bar with TVs. Good service most times, but a busy breakfast crowd can get ugly. This is the best brunch/breakfast option in walking distance of my apartment. This is your classic diner but the menu offers classic diner items as well as those with a Greek influence. The Greek style Eggs Benedict is great. I also appreciate that it is a local family owned business. I only come back here just because I like their happy hour drink menu and the bands they invite on Thursday. But I have to say that their service is the SLOWest I've ever had. So don't go there if you are super hungry and don't think you can be patient for their service. We sat on dinner side 3, 4 times. When we dined here very first time, the Waitress was friendly and we really had a great experience. When my mom and sister visited me last time, I took them here. Their service was very very VERY slow. It took 10 minutes to let them know we were here!! Last time when I went there, the waitress was rude to me and flirted my guest. There's some Greek food here and some American. I had the Gyro Dinner Plate and it wasn't very good. I think they recently remodeled the restaurant because it looked new and the windows are bays that can open up when it is warmer. read more

Came with a coworker for breakfast. Service was a bit slow for it being pretty empty mid-week breakfast time. But the food was good and the server offered gluten free bread when I asked for my order to be noted that I have to eat gluten free. The serving was huge and pretty tasty. I would definitely go back for breakfast and may just have to check it out for lunch. read more

We had the salmon Benedict while I enjoyed it my husband didn't like the salmon because it was not dry like he likes it lol. I didn't care for the OJ however the baclava is so sweet watch your teeth. Let me start by saying that I somehow bought into the idea that George's is a "neighborhood place", as they say in their logo outside. I live in downtown Kirkland so I thought I'd patronize a local business. I've been here a handful of times before and have observed a few things: - The owners are great, especially the old lady. She used to own it before selling it to her children. She still helps out every now and then. - One of the current owners (?) (one of her children) is also fairly nice. - The staff are made up of younger people who seem to be working at this place to make some money, but this isn't necessarily where they want to be. On the last day I went to George, the owners weren't there. Just staff made up of mostly younger staff and one old lady (compared to the others). May I say, WOW. The oldest waitress started to gossip with two other younger waitresses. And what are they gossiping about? A 3-year old. They did this in front of the 3-year old's family to gain the most attention rather than coming over to the 3-year old's table and making a request or saying what's on their mind. After their discussion, each one of them paraded in front of the table throwing dirty looks/smirks. Parent asks one of the cashiers what their problem is and gets no straight apology. It was more along the lines of "We're sorry you feel we have to say sorry". Unapologetic for their rude and unprofessional behavior. This place already seems like a dive (with a bar on the side), but I thought it was still okay because it's local and even if the food was so-so (it's not great), it's still a neighborhood place. After witnessing how horrid the staff are, I'm not coming back to this place. Avoid at all costs. Go to Hector's instead. Better yet, cook your own food at home. I have been going to George's for 8 or 9 years now and have continued to go back throughout their ownership changes. Today I went in for brunch and since I am allergic to eggs, literally every breakfast place I go to is happy to oblige when I asked that my omelet be made with hashbrowns instead of eggs (mix the veggies in with hashbrowns instead of eggs). I requested this today and the server told me, "the kitchen is too busy to do that." So instead of even asking the kitchen if they could, he just said no. Someone please tell me what is the difference between mixing vegetables with hasbrowns instead of mixing them with eggs from a time perspective. Again, disappointed with this place. Our family ate here recently on a whim and was completely underwhelmed. Probably the most I've ever paid for such a mediocre meal. Our youngest had a chicken burger that he said was decent but that was the highlight of the evening. Service on the other hand was the complete opposite, very friendly and attentive. read more

Very popular place but we timed it out where we didn't have to wait at all for a table. The staff are VERY attentive and clearly work hard to ensure you are comfortable and taken care of. The food was delicious and the prices were about average for the area, maybe a little high, but not significant. The coffee is standard black diner coffee, but unfortunately it tasted as though they hadn't cleaned their pot in a while. It had a notable bitterness to it that is associated with dirty brewing equipment or pots, in my opinion. They may be sparkling clean and it's just the roast they use, I can't confirm. Don't get me wrong, the coffee is still very drinkable and is about what is expected in this sort of diner. The food and service are above average and I would definitely go back! If you go for a breakfast, you likely won't want any lunch, the portions are large and it's all very good! Definitely check them out. read more

I've been coming here since I was a baby, back when George was around RIP :( Anyways the food is amazing! I love the chicken Caesar with pita, the portions are huge and so are the drinks which is always a plus. Although over the years the service has been hit or miss, but I still eat here all the time. Okay food, terrible service. The only highlight was the sweet woman who delivered our food from the kitchen, (not our waitress), she was very kind, thoughtful, and an overall positive person. My wife and I were told very clearly and simply by the hostess that George's does not allow outside beverages in their dining room. "As soon as you finish your drinks outside, you can come in", she said. How RUDE!!!!! And how dare George's prevent me from supporting other specialty vendors in the area. If I could give you no stars, I would. Sorry George's, you've lost a customer for good with that policy. Went in for dinner with the family. Was excited because I've had good lunches here. Dinner, not so much. Veggie grinder with red pepper hummus was boring. So easy to give that some flavor! Spaghetti with Italian sausage was gray and watery. Italian sausage was diced and flavorless. And definitely not "smothered" in parmesan. Greek fries came out as waffle fries with vinaigrette on the side. What? Menu said topped with feta and special Greek dressing. Pot roast salty and inedible. Buttermilk biscuit like a sponge. There was no love put into this food. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They took the pot roast off our bill. I would recommend George's for breakfast or lunch as I've had decent food there. Don't go for dinner. read more

It was a bummer to go out and spend $55 on breakfast.(We never get the chance to go out for breakfast) My husband and I had our own meal and the daughters split a dish and I ordered a latte. The food was good, definitely not worth the price. If the server was nice I might not be so upset about spending the money.Not at all friendly. I was a server for 6 years and I always tip 20% or more. Wish I wouldn't have given her so much, she might have figured out that she needed to earn it by having a personality! "I really want an omelette from George's but their service is so awful I really don't want to go there," said my husband. Foolishly we tried again. Olympic Omelette and Baklava pancakes are sooo good! Greek Pita is also good. The problem is that the service is really, really bad (we've been there at least 10 times, it's always been bad). It's so bad that even though we like the food, we now only return every 6-9 months in hopes that they've gotten better. We really want to like this place. We eat one breakfast out every weekend...that's a lot of missed sales for George's. They've also recently raised their prices by about 30%...yikes! For that much I could go to brunch at Lola! For that kind of price I expect my orders to come out (every time they forget part or all of an order), I expect someone to refill my coffee, especially when I've asked for a refill.
