Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here! Oh, what an adventure Miss Piggy and I had during our stay in New York City. Let me tell you about our delightful (and slightly hilarious) morning at George's. So, there we were, staying at a lovely hotel, when Miss Piggy suddenly had a craving for bagels. And when Miss Piggy has a craving, well, you better believe she acts on it! She dashed out of the hotel like a whirlwind, and before I could say "ribbit," she was off to George's. When she returned, arms laden with goodies, she had quite the story to tell. Apparently, her enthusiasm for bagels caused quite a stir at George's. But hey, who can blame her? The bagels were absolutely worth it. We had bagels with cream cheese, and let me tell you, they were fantastic! Perfectly chewy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside, and slathered with just the right amount of cream cheese. It was bagel bliss. Miss Piggy also grabbed a cinnamon roll, because why not? Unfortunately, while the bagels were perfect, the cinnamon roll was a bit firmer than we'd like. Let's just say it was more of a cinnamon "stroll" than a roll. I think Miss Piggy may have used it for some impromptu strength training exercises--she's always keeping fit, you know! Despite the slight hiccup with the cinnamon roll, our experience at George's was overall a delight. The bagels alone were enough to make us want to hop back there anytime. Plus, the comedic spectacle of Miss Piggy's bagel dash added a unique touch to our morning. In conclusion, George's is definitely worth a visit for their amazing bagels. I never pay attention to yelp, but after a loyal customer told me about a review posted on 10/7 I felt compelled to write one myself to prove to all that yelp posters have other motives then just to give an honest opinion (ex. Hurt ones business for exterior motives with lies) I am currently using my 8 yr olds profile , he as no idea how to even create a profile. How can he, he's 8. Showing to all anyone can be anyone to hide real intentions. In all my food establishments I take great pride on both cleaness, service, and food quality. Anyone who knows me will agree, but don't believe me if you walk into georges you will see with your own eyes. The event that this individual is referring to on 10/7 never happened think about if we were that dirty why are we so busy? If you read other reviews from sites as rewards network were you have to be a paying member that actually has eaten in the establishment in order to write a review. You will see complete opposite positive and outstanding feedback.Think about it, if this really occurred to someone else why would this individual take the time to write a novell. When it didn't even happen to him? To prove what? And on his vacation, really come on, and was he really on vacation anyway? I recently visited George's restaurant, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the restaurant was bustling with customers, the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. I would rate my experience 3 out of 5 stars. The restaurant was a bit cramped, but it was not overly uncomfortable. However, the food did not live up to my expectations. I ordered buffalo wings, which turned out to be dry and lacked flavor. Additionally, I asked for French fries with cheese, but unfortunately, the fries were too greasy for my taste. Even worse, the American cheese on top of the fries was not melted at all. It was just a slice of cheese that did not melt with the heat of the fries. Additionally, I have to mention that while the menu had a wide variety of options, I felt that the quality of the food did not match its price. I personally did not think that the food was worth what I paid for it. It can be disappointing when a restaurant does not meet your expectations, particularly if you feel you have overpaid for what you received. On the positive side, the service was prompt, and the staff was friendly. The menu had a wide variety of options. Moreover, the restaurant had a cozy ambiance that was perfect for casual dining with friends. In summary, while the atmosphere and service were decent, the food did not meet my expectations, and I felt that the quality did not match its price. Found Georges on Yelp after taking a trip to the Staten Island Ferry and walking to see the Bull in the financial district. I had been craving eggs Benedict and actually found this place by searching that keyword. Place was packed and we were seated upstairs in very close quarters were we sat right next to two other parties. Kinda cool to listen in on the locals and their unique accents. The menu is overwhelming and they should look to scale back in my opinion. The review is based on the eggs Benedict which was just ok. I make a better hollandaise and poached egg myself, which makes me extra critical. I would go again and maybe just order some scrambled eggs or an omelette. We spent 5 days in New York this week and discovered an amazing breakfast spot--George's! From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded expectations. The food was delicious with very generous portions, and the coffee was exactly what you want to start your day right. But what truly made this place stand out was the service. Everardo (Eddy), Cesar, and Hector were absolutely incredible--super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Their hospitality was hands down the best we experienced anywhere in New York. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with outstanding service, George's is a must-visit. I went there with my Korean friends who visited me. Food is pretty great however the servers are terrible and I suffered racial discrimination from terrible people. I was embarrassed to my visiting friends. Even though I had a young child, they tried to give me a seat next to the stairs, so we asked to be moved inside and also even though the water in the glass was separate from the red drinking glass, the server made the mistake of pouring water into a red cola glass and laughed at ...Finally after eating, I asked a bill to pay they took care of other customers who came later than us. I recently visited George's in FiDi and was shocked by the prices. They charged me an outrageous $4 each for a small serving of strawberries and blueberries! That's $8 for a tiny amount of fruit that should have been included in the meal or at least reasonably priced. The quality of the fruit wasn't exceptional, either--definitely not worth the high markup. This kind of pricing feels like a blatant rip-off, especially when there are so many other places in the area that offer better value. This place is usually packed on Sundays. I walked by it all the time but never really paid attention to it. It is a diner and a great spot for brunch. For $12.95, I had a large glass of orange juice, 3 eggs scrambled with ham, sausages and bacon. On the side, there was also toasted whole wheat bread. I liked it very much. They have 2 seating areas, ground floor and upstairs, so you don't really have to wait that long. The staff is friendly, but when it comes to getting you bill, it takes forever. I will definitely go back though, because the food is great there. read more

Let me begin by saying WOW!!!!!! Georges was recommended by our hotel. At first, we saw the long lines and got nervous concerning wait time. The hostess told us not to worry the line moves quick and that we will be seated within 15 min and to trust her it's definitely worth it. Thank God, we stayed she was dead on. My wife had the chocolate waffle, and I had the Italian omelet, the potatoes, endless coffee and fresh squeeze orange juice was amazing. We definitely will be back. Horrible place to work and the woman Irma is disgusting!! She touches the salad beets and cucumber with her hands and serves it to guests, his so unsanitary! The owner talks to his staff like they're idiots! I would never recommend eating or working there! Especially with Irma as a worker, she not only is dirty she steals money from guests and tables from coworkers, I've never worked with someone so dishonest in my entire life!! I'm not sure if they're really a 5 star place, but for a diner in NYC they deserve more than 3 stars (which they currently have). The place has an extensive menu, and you can literally order any thing. It will come out just as you'd expect from a solid diner. I've had an assortment of food her over time. Pancakes, waffles, chicken, bacon, eggs, wraps,mimosas, bloody Mary's. Everything is good. The service (if no line) is solid as well. Worth a stop. read more

As a tourist walking by I came to Georges, my experience is I definitely recommend this place, the food was Amazing, fast service and let me say the staff is on point. They have a huge menu don't be shy asking your waiter for recommendations because wait staff are really friendly. Will definitely coming back to visit. Nicely prepared wide ranger of comfort food. no grassy, good taste, fair price, efficient service. We stopped for breakfast and had yogourt, French toasts, blueberry scones, coffee for two and hot chocolate for around 25$. All the choices tasted nicely and were right size for one person, not gigantic. Place is clean and not fancy. read more

I really liked this restaurant. The food was amazing. I had the buffalo chicken tenders with french fries and it was just as I liked. Unlimited coffee/juice (was tempted to go for a few bucks more to get unlimited sangria/ mimosa but kids were there n got some sightseeing to do after so gave that a pass). Wow, this place is a must. We were staying at the Marriott and was referred to George's thru the front desk. My wife had a protein omelet and I had a bacon cheese burger deluxe. The meal came perfectly cooked and the waiter eddy was super attentive. We wish we had George's back home. read more

We stopped here randomly for brunch on a Sunday. Casual diner with expansive menu. The menu is huge and there's something for every one. Pancakes, waffles, french toast with bacon and sausage was spot on. Food was great. It was clean, fast. That's all we can ask. read more
