Dreadful. Took forever and a day for food to arrive. I got wings. Ordered 10, was only given 9. And they were microwaved!!! Wife got a garden salad with chicken. Not sure what sad little garden this salad came out of. Salad consisted of a pathetic bed of iceberg lettuce with two half slices of tomato and three olives. And the chicken was clearly those cruddy Perdue chicken pieces you get as salad toss-ins at the supermarket. And there were only 5 pieces. It was empty on Labor Day weekend, and now I can see why. This was a terrible place to get pizza disrespected racially, a guest complained about bathroom use with my child accompanying and discriminated against hispanic/Latinas, if i could leave a Zero star i would. Thought we would try it out, went in sat down, ordered drinks....all down hill from there, took way to long to get drinks, when we got the drinks they were cold.... just like waiter, we got three slices of cardboard, which was hot, burnt. I am thoroughly disgusted by this place. I've gone here at least three times and each time my opinion drops. But this last time, the time I got a takeout sandwich, biked home, began eating the sandwich to look down and see a live COCKROACH in the same wrapper as my food is really the last straw. The professionalism in this place is non-existent- employees fighting with each other verbally and physically in front of costumers is enough to sour my experience. But really, a resort town that doesn't make great strides to ensure the wildlife (that is still living) stays out of the food needs a visit from the health inspector. I was just happy to find someplace actually OPEN in ptown this week- so I stumbled into George's to grab a few slices. i was told cheese had just come out of the oven, so I went with that. 2 slices, out the door plus a sode for 7$ (figure 5 for the slices, since the soda was 2$). Upon arrival in P-town we were thirsty, in dire need of a restroom and had a 5 year old in tow. We touristically stumbled into a piping hot (no a/c plus big oven plus 90 degree summer day = broiling), dimly-lit George's and ordered some drinks and slices. DD liked her pizza just five (hey - she's 5) and DH thought it was just OK. A bit on the greasy side. I ordger the Chicken McGeorge and it was great - 4 star for sure - a hot chicken patty, lightly fride on a hot roll with lettuce, tomato and a wee bit of mayo. Mayeb I was super0hungry - but it tasted so great - and my little one ate half of it. She liked my McGeorge ($7.99 for a small - ouch) way better than her pizza. Divey atmosphere and semi-nasty bathrooms (but we were in need and did not care). Would I go back? If I lived in town I'd sure as heck get some grinders to go. Especially the McGeorge! Let me preface this by saying I have visited George's every summer for the past 30 years. It has been a summer tradition for me and my friends and now my own family. We walked in to be greeted by a sign stating "wait here to be seated". We waited for a few mins to which we got a cold welcome and told to sit out back and she would be with us. We waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. My husband finally walked up front to see if something changed and perhaps we needed to order up front. The woman in the kitchen said "no". My husband asked if someone would come out to our table to which she replied "she is the only waitress on, give her a minute". Given the Covid environment we decided to stick it out and be patient. During our time waiting another party sat down and there had been existing party waiting for food. The waitress finally came out at the 23 minute mark and asked who was there first. I said "we have been waiting a long time, but the other table had been here first and this other table just arrived". The waitress said " you have not been waiting a long time, I've been working all day so I have been here a long time". My family and I, and the family at the other table, got up and left. I have never been treated so rudely. This was disappointing after lots of good memories eating pizza on the patio. Never again! read more

BAAAAH. I am so torn about George's. Back story: I like sitting at bars alone and watching sports while on vacation in crazy PTown. Enter:George's. Whether it be the Sox or Bruins or even World Cup... I have sat motionless with a Miller Lite (or 6) many an hour at the bar. The crowd is always into the game, and stays quiet when they need to. (very appreciated)... the staff is always extremely nice and down to earth. I can say, without reservation, that the pizza is not very good. I feel ill every time I got a slice- but pizza on the cape isn't awesome for some reason (someone should open an Otto's-although Spiritus has that genre covered). I have on occasion gotten a few subs which were really really good, the steak & cheese is supposedly pretty solid- but be prepared to pay a premium. I ordered a small MEATLESS sub with Provolone, peppers, lettuce and tomatoes. Ten dollars. Crazy. All-in-all - go if you need to actually pay attention to a game, or grab a sub for take out... Yeah, this place is a dive. There I said it. But the pizza is pretty damn good. The crust is crispy and they don't skimp on the toppings. They only have sizes large and small, the large is a good size, but the small is small (think the size of a standard paper plate). The system for sitting inside is kinda wacky, you order your pizza then have to go up to the bar to order your drinks (including soda). So basically you have to clean your own table and try to hunt down grated cheese, oregano, etc., But the pizza speaks for itself. We all agreed we will be back. read more

George's was our first food stop when we got into the Cape on our Honeymoon. We were exhausted from our 5 hour flight from Phoenix, and the wedding itself so we needed something quick and simple. The quality was not lacking in the quick and simple of our meal. We got a turkey grinder and a large pepperoni pizza. Both we great and we devoured them both. Even held on to a few slices for breakfast in the AM. This is a great spot and I highly recommend them. I believe they are open year round as well. read more

Just reviewing the pizza and service...I really like the pizza but it is a certain take on pizza that some people might not like - so if you want super thin crust this isn't for you. Crust is thicker than ny style but thinner than sicilian, crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. A bit oilier than most crusts, but that is probably where the crispy outside texture comes from. Fillings are good - like meat lovers and greek. Kind of big for a small and small for a large. Not cheap but nothing is in this part of the world. The pizza guys have always been fine with me - very nyc pizza place service - wise-cracky and sometimes curt, but with a certain charm. We are both year-rounders I am a native cape codder of the top of the cape. We called Georges last night because we're trying to support all our restaurants during this hard time that we're all facing. First we were hung up on when my fiance was handing the phone over to me the rude guy told us to get our act together and call back I called back and spoke to a woman at the restaurant and told her I wanted the name of the manager. Not only would she not give it she told me this is considered unimportant and hung up. On top of the fact that they're overpriced I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy IF ! I stumbled upon George's by accident last week -- and ended up eating there three times. I don't understand the bad service/long wait complaints. My pizza (a small with ham and bacon) was done in 15 minutes each time, and the staff was always friendly with me. My family and I went to George's at about 1pm on a Monday afternoon. Our exact order was, 1 diet coke, 2 waters and a large unsweetened iced tea along with once slice of mushroom pizza, a Greek salad, a roast beef grinder and a BBQ chicken grinder. I gave one star because the waitress (apparently the only one in the restaurant) was friendly and the atmosphere of the outer deck was nice. We placed our drink and food orders at the same time. 55 minutes later no food or drinks. It was the same for the tables around us. Food with no drinks, or drinks but no food to be seen. We left a total of 65 minutes later with out getting our food or drinks. I would recommend you eat elsewhere. read more

Okay so my fiancée and I wanted a quick lunch while in town and we ended up at George's. Man lemme tell ya- this place under-delivered. My fiancees margarita tasted like pure gasoline and they brought our salads out in plastic to-go containers like it was a field trip at your local elementary school. Chicken salad was dry, dressing was out of a packet. My beer was decent but that's about it. Waterfront view is obstructed by a black, mangled fence that really enhances the prison experience. A group of friends and I went to George's to grab a quick bite for dinner. It was the offseason so our group of 9 was able to all fit in the bar. For my meal, I decided to go with the Reuben after reading some good reviews on yelp. The sandwich itself was actually better than I thought it would. The meat was a little bit fatty for my taste, and the sauerkraut wasn't the best I've had, but the combination of flavors and bread were spot on. Overall, this place has decent food and friendly service, but I think they were a bit overwhelmed by our group and the speed of food delivery suffered because of it. read more

This was the worst pizza place I have ever been too. The wings were very low class. I have found better wings at a dollar store. The pizza took 50 minutes when we were promised 20. Then it had all the wrong toppings. After the pizza comming back the second time it was still wrong. We asked for a refund and were not going to take it and they said no no call the police. Cost $42.00 for a very crappy cold pizza with 12 wings that looked like they ate 1/2 the meat off of them. There is no parking in P-Town so i had to keep driving around blocks until it was finished. A normal business if you are not satisfied will refund you so u can go somewhere else. I will never go back there again read more
