Having grown up in NYC where threading experts are plentiful and cheap, I found it really difficult to find a trustworthy place here in DC where I could have my eyebrows, upper lips, and cheeks done. Sheila makes you feel right at home and is very efficient at the laser treatments. She is also just very kind and easy to talk to as you figure out your best treatment plan. I've been to a few different laser/electrolysis locations in the DC metro area, and I can confidently say I've had the best results from Georgetown Rejuvenation by far. I know hair removal success varies for everyone, but in 5 months I've gotten rid of nearly all of my previously coarse, stubborn facial hair when I was anticipating a much, much longer period. Both Shiela and Mina have been fantastic estheticians and are very friendly and careful in their treatment. They apply a light anesthetic on my skin before electrolysis which helps reduce pain (although the pain really isn't too bad), which is helpful. The location is cozy and beautifully decorated, and the staff always makes you feel at home. There's a kitchen where guests can also have snacks and tea while they wait as well. It's a very overall welcoming experience. I feel really lucky to have this place near me in the DC area and plan to try their other services in the future! read more

Honestly can't say enough good about this place : ) Been coming here for a few months now for both eyebrow threading and laser hair removal. I'm incredibly particular about my eyebrows (aren't we all?), and I've tried everywhere in D.C. (and beyond- I've also had them threaded in India even!) This place is far and away the absolute best! The prices may be higher than you're used to for threading, but the care and attention to detail they put in make it well worth it. I've had both Nessa and Massy, and both ladies are absolutely wonderful! They will actually take the time to study your face to help determine the best eyebrow shape and then begin the threading process. They are both also incredibly meticulous, ensuring no stray hair is left behind! The owner, Sheila, is also amazing! This is my first experience with laser hair removal, and Sheila without a doubt has it down pat! She provides a free consultation to determine if you're a qualified candidate (because why do it if it just won't produce the results you want?), and she's had years of experience operating the laser hair removal machines (which I believe are also top of the line for the industry). I don't even live in Arlington anymore but still come to them for electrolysis - clean, cozy atmosphere, pleasant staff, complimentary coffee/tea, and the most professional staff. Be sure to double check your appt. time if you're booking over the phone as several times I've written down the time and I get there and they have something different in their system and then I look like I'm late. In any event they really try to accommodate and get you in and out in a timely manner. You always feel acknowledged as a client. Did tons of research on electrolysis in the DC area before deciding to try Georgetown Electrolysis. In every way it matters, the service was excellent. Lots of technicians don't use enough current and end up tweezing hair, which defeats the purpose of permanent hair removal. Sheila was simply outstanding: experienced, fast, personable. I'd been toying with the idea of getting my eyebrows threaded, and decided for the $25 price, well sure I could test the waters. I actually had a groupon for threading at another spa, but the reviews for that place scared the beejezus out of me and the reviews here were all so glowing that I canceled that appointment and booked here. First, I have to say that the staff especially the owner Sheila were darlings, both on the phone and in person, so first points awarded for that. I got there day of (thanks to previous reviewers for pointing out where to look, I had no issue finding it next to the Vocelli's pizza) and the spa. Is GORGEOUS!! Seriously, it was pretty and relaxing and all sorts of ambiance you want in a place like this. Nicely done! I checked in, waited a little bit while the receptionist helped another client, and then was directed towards the comfy quiet waiting area. Sheila then asked me if I wanted anything (watermelon, water, coffee, etc). Perhaps because it was hot and I was thirsty, but I love watermelon, so that really hit the spot. I hadn't been waiting long enough to finish my glass of water before Nilu came out to greet me. I expected to be threaded in front of a few people (and yes I still went for it! hey, a $25 awesome eyebrow threading/shaping!) I figured the levels of embarrassment wouldn't increase exponentially with each additional person in the room :), but instead, it was just the lovely Nilu. And seriously, Nilu was amazing. She's new to the salon, I think, but not new to threading, and the owner Sheila (words can't describe the genuine generosity/hospitality) came in two times to check on our progress. . Nilu chatted with me throughout the process and was very patient with me, which I greatly appreciated. She made the process fun, and while I won't lie, there were times when it didn't hurt so and times when I thought ouch, She even let me take a breather after a particularly involved pull. It really made the whole experience that much better, and she did a WONDERFUL job. I came back the day after and got a facial with Sheila. Georgetown Rejuvenation has the best deep cleansing facials I have every had! She is very hands-on and gentle. She explained her process throughout the entire facial (well you want to know what each product is doing) She is also one of the most interesting aestheticians I know. I will look forward to every appointment because we always chat about an interesting topic. This place is amazing Sheila is so knowledgeable. She is sweet and caring. She has done my facials for over a year. I've had facials all over the country in some if the fanciest and most expensive spas and no one has done a more thorough facial. Sheila started electrolysis on my chin (those old age hairs!) about 5 months ago and after only 5 or 6 treatments almost all of the hair is gone. I just go every 5-8 weeks for a touch up now. I have been going to Georgetown Electrolysis (also goes by Georgetown Rejuvenation) for about six months and generally space appointments every five to six weeks. Shelia is beyond good, beyond great. I have seen such improvement in my skin tone in this relatively short period of time. It is also the most enjoyable and relaxing experience. All stress and tension are gone after your session. Also her prices are most certainly fair and affordable. Trust me, once you have your first facial with Shelia, you will be going back again and again. I have been contemplating getting laser for 7 years on my lip area. I was so nervous because I was told that because I had dark skin I could keloid or get scarring if the person wasn't familiar with the right levels for the laser machine. I had a friend research and she found this place and it appeared to have good ratings! Okay, so scheduled a consult, what is the worst that could happen? When I got there all of the women had dark skin...I was so happy because I am like they have to know what to do.
