    Joel in parts!

I have no reason to give this Nissan dealership anything other than 5 stars! Both my mother and sister drives Nissans. Each car needed a little bit of service. I contacted a few dealerships and they were all booked for sometime to come. However, I called Hawkinson Nissan and told them of my dilemma and I asked for assistance ASAP, they told me what time to arrive, I did it, they fixed it... That very day. Jason, in the service department was exceptional! He was very professional, kind and very attentive. The issue was resolved and I was out the door in a good amount of time. So, I asked if I could bring my sisters car and Jason said if I brought it in early next morning, he'd have me in and out ASAP. Done deal! thanks Jason! Lastly, I also stopped by for the first time a few days earlier before the 1st service job to see if they could take a look at a key fob that wasn't working properly. Joel, (see pic) in the retail parts, simply changed the battery and 5 mins & $6 later, I was out the door. Thanks Hawkinson Nissan!

Online sales person contacted me directly after my online inquiry in response to their online listing of Nissan Altima 2019 SV trim AWD. She provided the quote of $21,000 excluding title, sales tax, documentation fee. We drove 2 hours to this dealership and when we sat for final numbers, Sales manager came up with a OTD price of $26,040. So the price that they confirmed changed from $21,000 to $23,710 (+ the sales tax+documentation fee+government fee is $2,330, which was excluded from advertised cost that we already know). So when we asked about it, he mentioned about the mandatory dealership items (wheel locks $599, simonize paint $1599, anti theft protection $399 and ETHOS $355) that I should pay to qualify for the online advertised price. When I showed their site where this information is not mentioned then he mention that you won't be driving all 2 hours to their dealership if price is not attractive but they will be in loss if they sell the car for online advertised price. So I have to buy these dealer added items at their mentioned price. I ended up paying extra $2000 than what I was expecting to pay for the car. I know if I buy the wheel locks directly from Nissan it cost me $70 but I paid $599, I don't need the simonize paint and anti theft stickers but had to buy in order to qualify for online advertised price. After reviewing google reviews, I am seeing similar responses from other online shoppers about this dealership. So please beware of the online scam price that this dealership offering, though dealership and inventory seems decent not sure why management is encouraging this dealership item scam(?)

I did the usual research and pretty much cut the deal in one day via email with Hawkinson executive manager Tim Curran.

After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

Here's my experience: First contacted about a vehicle they…read moreclaimed they had in stock on their website. They said yes it was there and I could see it the next day at an appointment I made. I get there and the sales person that I made an appointment with wasn't there nor was the vehicle. Wasted my time but not a deal breaker. I told them what I was looking for with a few choices of trim levels and colors. The new telluride was just rolling out so I was willing to be patient and come back when they arrived. I was contacted a few days later and they sent me a text with the exact model I wanted and promised it was there at the dealership. It had name on pre sales sheet so I went back to do the deal and my salesperson shows me two completely different vehicles, not the invoice they texted me. Another bait and switch. I settled for one that I didn't exactly want but had a nicer interior. I was good with it regardless of the bait and switch. The agreement was to throw in the floor mats and cross bars, and I'd pay sticker. I ended up paying for the all weather mats even after they said they'd include them because I was already on the invoice, instead of crediting me the couple hundred dollars. Then I had to go back over a month later for the cargo mats and the cross bars. I get there and there's no cargo mats, only the cross bars. Ugg. Later I went to install the crossbars myself and it didn't fit. They ordered the wrong one. So I had to go back and switch it for the right one, meanwhile they shipped me the cargo mats. It was like pulling teeth to get this simple task right. i honestly felt like i was on a prank YouTube video or something. There's a reason this dealership has bad reviews. It's best to just be honest with customers. And if a mistake is made that's okay but as an act of good faith offer something to make up for it, not double down and manipulate and gaslight the customer after going back on a deal.
