From a locals perspective the new location has had a rocky start. We don't feel the menu is truly firing on all cylinders. Yes the pizza is good. The salads adequate. The sandwiches tasty but not too special. Mac's cuisine library has expanded and G's has peer and better competition now. I ordered the mama Geraldi's garden salad to go after working in the yard all day. I was starving. I got the large was 14.95 I believe and it was delicious. I got it with the blue cheese dressing. It came with little tiny, sliced grape tomatoes, sliced black olives, red onions ,artichoke hearts and a dusting of feta which was plenty.. it was Perfect except I could've used a couple more pieces of the artichokes. It was just some of the leaves I think .other than that, it was really good.!! that's gonna be my go to place from now on for salads! read more

Stopped at Geraldi's (at their new location) on the way to the beach today! It was packed, but everyone was patient, the food came out timely and the staff was hustling. Had a Toasted Spicy Geraldi sandwich and it was perfect; crunchy fresh bread, plenty of tasty meat, melted swiss, all the veggies and the right amount of mayo, mustard and Italian dressing. The rest of my family's orders were just as good. Spoke with the owner, Joe and he's very proud of his staff, the new location and his offerings. You can tell by how clean it was, run really well and great food! We had the most amazing experience as a family! The owner of this location is phenomenal! Being a former restaurant owner I understand that you can get great food at a lot of spots. The big deciding factor in a restaurants rating is then left to the service that you receive while their. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We just moved and were exhausted and hungry. The second we wandered in to Geraldi's, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. We both had spaghetti with meatballs, and man oh man! SOOO good. I ordered the Caprese salad with an addition of salame and pepperoni. All I can say is "WOW!" During our many trips to Geraldi's while we were in town on vacation, owner, Joe was beyond hospitable. He shared with us the history of Geraldi's (originally founded by his grandfather,) how it was sold off, and how he came to buy it back and now run it himself. He shared samples of their offerings and was quick to customize something that I, being gluten free, could eat. Our only regret was that we didn't make it in for a 4th visit while in the area. It's a small place that might not seem like much but WOW...the food was incredible!!!! We tried the pizza, pasta and sandwiches and all were great!! Service was phenomenal! Was in Mac town so we stopped at Geraldi's for lunch. So glad we did. I had the spicy Geraldi toasted (whole) and my wife had the meatball sandwich (half). Both were exceptional. They accidentally made my wife's sandwich as a whole, thus left her a half to take home. The spicy Geraldi sub was so good. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in a while. Wife loved her meatball sandwich. Meatballs were really tender and delicious. We were there around noon thus the place was pretty crowded. Well worth the wait. The atmosphere was cozy, had a good number of tables for dine-in (take-out was really bustling there too) and the staff was really friendly. The owner mentioned the meatballs were fresh out of the oven, so we ordered 2 meatball heros, spaghetti & meatballs, and anti pasta salad. The meatballs were so tender (and big!), the sauce was perfectly balanced (not too acidic or watery), and pasta was al dente. The salad presentation was beautiful and fresh ingredients! We stopped here tonight on our way to the coast. Because, In short, it was the only appropriate place in McMinnville to take our three kids, where it wasn't going to cost $150. Food is 4 stars (4 stars based on it being what it is... a low key sandwich/pizza place... I'm not comparing it to trendy/more expensive restaurants). It's good and inexpensive. But I'm a Chicago beef snob. And their beef isn't a Chicago beef. Don't get me wrong. It's really good. But it is not a Chicago Beef. Their giardiniera is good. Portions are HUGE. After stuffing yourself you still go home with an entire meal. So that was awesome for us. Their spaghetti was good for my kids. They were very happy. But it wasn't adult spaghetti good. My husband really enjoyed his pesto sandwich. But their service was great. Everyone was very personable. The owner was talking to customers, helping with orders, etc.... and I appreciate that. My mom owned a restaurant in Chicago for years. And it's very hard work. And it's nice that he makes himself visible to his customers. My husband and I agreed that when we are on our way from Portland to Depoe Bay this will be where we stop to eat (which is about once or twice a month). Thanks guys for being open on your day off so we could bring in family and friends for our parents 50th anniversary. I see great things happening here, and I like where the new ownership is going. You didn't blink an eye accommodating special dietary requests. I like your ideas for some new menu options. It should be really interesting. I saw you hand throwing pizza pie dough for some of the pizzas we had. Not many places do that anymore, but YOU DO! Also the giant lasagna was a big hit. There was plenty of food to go around.
