Micky from AusTex was very honest and helpful and communicated consistently. Geico covered a rental. I took my car in on a Monday and everything was taken care of by that following Wednesday. They did a lousy job on my car ; they did't match the color, and they left the engine cover under the car hanging with one screw , also all the clips were missing I had to put in the screws and by the clips on my own. I contacted them several times to correct the paint Job but they kept giving me the runaround and telling me to give it some time to improve , then in the end they refused to correct the paint job, despite the fact that their work is supposed to be life time warranted. These people are nothing but crooks especially the store manager (Paul) he is a crook and a lair. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! read more

Geico and austex.... stay away from this place if it all possible. Especially if you have the unfortunate luck to work with Justin Turner. He refused to pay for damages that they're insured did to my car and left me without a rental car for left me without a rental car for almost 4 days in which I could not get to work. I had to pay for the repairs myself out of my own pocket because he wouldn't pay the shop (of which they were only covering about of which they were only covering about $570 out of about a thousand because they would not cover what they're insured did to my car completely). I explained this and so I picked up the check for the amount that Justin approved the 500 and almost $70 asap only to find out that they stopped payment on the check GOOD FRIDAY causing me to get fees from my bank and they have ruined my Easter weekend plus completely messed up my finances and I'm sure that it's all a big joke to Justin and the company he works for. Also if you look on Facebook, there's quite a few instances of their claim payout checks just bouncing. If you're coming here because of Geico please for the love of God!!!! go somewhere else. The poor gentleman who hit me, I feel, would be completely horrified if he knew how badly these people were behaving on his behalf. I just moved to Austin and then in an auto accident. I had to go to the hospital and Aus-Tex Towing took my car from the scene and kept it safe for me until I could get it together and deal with my car. I went to retrieve my items and from the moment I walked in, the staff was unbelievable. Usually place that tow your car regardless of the situation are rude, low class and pressure you for money. This NEVER happened! The body shop is next door and due to the authenticity of the staff at Aus-Tex Towing and their business practices, I decided to have my car repaired here and I feel blessed that I made that choice. 1. I was never hassled from either entity regarding payment, money or collections. 2. This company had enough respect to allow me "to heal" after my ordeal and did all of the insurance hassle for me. 3. This is the best, they actually called me as a courtesy to keep me informed as to the progress of the work and the date of completion. I have had my share of accidents and this has never been the case from DFW to Houston to Austin. 4. When I arrived to get my car, I was allowed to leave my rental from Hertz (Cedar Park location) on their lot and just get in my brand new car and leave in under 30 min. or less. 5. When I picked up my new car, that I had just purchased two weeks prior, it looked beautiful. The body work, paint job and courtesy wash and detail made my life that much easier. An old lady crashed her car into my 2009 Infiniti FX 35 (Metallic Brown), near Old Navy Round rock parking lot around noon on Friday 4/19. My cars drivers rear side quarter panel was dented. It was really really bad and I thought my life was over. I was devastated to say the least. I was worried that I had to live with the dent all my life. I called my insurance company GEICO and they arranged a meeting with the Aus-Tex Body & Frame Inc body shop. There I met a guy named Mark. He was very detail oriented and gave me the estimate and the time it would take to fix the car. So after three days I went back and I was stunned. They did a fantastic job, the quarter panel was dented out within 3 days and they repainted the quarter panel to match the original color which was Umbra Twilight. The driver side rear door had to be removed to get the paint job done correctly. They did not remove the window over the quarter panel which was a relief. Initially I was worried due to the mixed reviews on Yelp, but I can now say for sure that this is the best place ever in town to fix dents. I will vouch for these guys any day. I was really happy with this place. I dealt with Roxanne and Blake. They were both really friendly. Somebody hit my car and the bumper needed to be replaced and I went here because it was one of the choices Geico gave me. They did a great job. Nice people. My car was spotless when I picked it up. I had warranty work back in May 2015 through Geico done here as a "recommended" body shop from some guy who rear ended me. Absolutely horrific experience. I was quoted 4 days, called me at day 7 and said it's going to be a little longer, and then day 13 rolls around and I finally get my vehicle. The vehicle was noticibly repaired wrong, the vehicle was repaired to hide damages (not fix them - to save themselves money), they never paid the bill for the rental (enterprise called me 11/10/15 to tell me that AusTex never paid the rental car bill (and that they've been contacting them for over 3 months) so now I owe $1800 in 3 days) -Since I had my insurance company/enterprise hound Austex, they have now paid - but absolutely 100% do not go to this place. There are CLEARLY far superior body shops around - do your research and pick a better shop. Don't even bother. UPDATE: I was contacted at 8pm on 11/11/2015 by the manager Rodney asking to remove the negative feedback (because they finally paid) and for me to "tell the whole truth" (really?) - I was out to eat when he called, he didn't even ask if I had a moment to speak, he briefly gave me a half-assed apology and began using a very sharp tone asking me to remove the feedback, which prompted me to hang up the phone, block his number, and update this review. It's the secret spy cam that really turned me off about this place. The actual work done on my car was fine (at least as far as I know so far), and was done in a timely manner. I was there through Geicho though, after a Geicho driver had rear-ended me, so I don't know how they are dealing with individuals outside of that dynamic. My satisfaction with them was largely diminished later when I received a packet in the mail from Geicho that included photographs taken of me getting out of my car by a hidden camera. Apparently they just have this thing set up to point at the space reserved for Geicho customers and it seems to be for the sole purpose of intimidating anyone with a medical claim. read more

I was in a minor accident, and selected AusTex because it was an approved agent for GEICO claims. Really excellent service all around. They (GEICO, Enterprise Rental, and AusTex) were ready for me when I arrived for my appointment. Paul gave great customer service. He noted all dings and damage not associated with the claim and let me know specifically what repairs would be made. I wanted additional repair/touch-up work done not covered by GEICO, and Paul called me later in the day with an estimate. AusTex had my car ready in less than 72 hours. The work was well done, and my favorite part--they cleaned my car inside and out! It was like driving a new car off the lot. Very impressed by the work and customer service with Austex! We came across them through our Geico insurance after someone backed into our car and dented our fender. We used the Geico Auto Repair Xpress and when we dropped off our vehicle the rental car was ready for us and it was a easy and quick hand off. The work was done quickly and the fender looks great! This is a long overdue review. I bumped the back of a person's car in the Spring of 2014, causing the whole passenger side headlight area of my car to be crumbled up. I had Geico insurance, and they had AusTex being a recommended place to get my car fixed. They already have a Geico estimator there who gave me a quote of how much it could be if nothing else was found beyond what he could see. He estimated it would take over two weeks to get my car fixed, and although I only needed to pay my deductible, I had no rental car coverage so that would be out of pocket. That stressed me out and after thinking about taking my car to other places , I decided to stick with AusTex and I'm glad I did. I dropped my car off on a monday morning and picked it up Friday afternoon . I only had to pay for a 5 day car rental, and they did a great job. It looked like I never had a wreck. I was concerned about whether they would match the paint correctly since it is a metallic blue but it matched perfectly and it's been almost a year now and it still looks good. My only complaint is when I dropped off my car, I used bungee cords to hold up the part that was dragging on the ground so I could drive it. They never gave me back my bungee cords and when I called about it, the guy on the phone in charge of my car acted like he knew nothing about them. I left stuff in my car prior to dropping it off, and everything was in my car when I picked it up, so I don't think they intentionally meant to keep them but just fyi. Also, I just recently replaced the headlight bulb on the side they fixed. This surprised me since it should be brand new but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, I'm very pleased with them! read more

I recently used their towing service to tow a truck. The tow truck driver had been working 24 hours straight with out a break, which is illegal. He unhooked part of the drive shaft and attached it to the frame of truck while still attached to part of truck. Then hooked up truck to be towed. He started towing vehicle when the drive shaft fell to the ground and started dragging along the highway. After a while it finally broke off the truck, hitting an airline and a tire. Causing 2000.oo worth of damage to vehicle. Driver admitted to being awake 24 hours and being groggy. Was told by driver and manager at Austex, Gary and told me the same thing the driver told me which was it was my fault. A simple tow for 500 dollars cost me 500 plus more than 2000 in repairs and down time from work. read more

Brought my mazda 3 to Austex about a week ago. Someone rear ended me and pretty much destroyed the back of my car. When I picked it up the guy who worked there was incredibly friendly. Brought me to my car, looked great. What I noticed afterwards was they cleaned the inside! They also fixed scratches that I didn't even pay for! Overall, awesome experience. read more

I had done the work at this shop few years ago and I was happy with the work so I went back this year in July 2012 for a not major wreck. I was completely disatisfied with the work done and with the customer service. I was told to come pick up the car on Wednesday. But nobody called me. When I called the next day, I was told it will be ready on Friday. Comes Friday, they left me a voice and no details that the car was not ready. On Monday, I went to pick up but it was not ready. They blamed on parts. I asked to talk to a manager and I was sent to the towing manager (a buddy). The office manager (Rick) is a complete lier and arrogant person. I had to show him that the work was not done correctly. The hood was skewed to the right and he was telling me it is ok. When a technician came he agreed that it was not correct. It took him less than 10 minutes to adjust. There was a sticking piece of plastic sticking on the edge of the hood, I could not believe how it could have been missed. Total crappy work. I was very disappointed with the job and with the service I got. Please take your business somewhere else. Management has changed to the worse at this place. Not even 1 star - just don't know how to make it ZERO STAR. read more

We ended up at Aus-Tex after a Geiko insured driver caused a collision with us; Geiko strongly recomended them in order to make the claim 'go smoothly'. Although everyone at the business was very courteous, the workmanship was shoddy. The front fender and molding on the door were straightened, but still look buckled. All replaced panels look shiny, but mounted crooked. The paint damage inside the suicide door was not touched, much less repaired. The wiring harness to the fuse box was left dangling by the break peddal for me to drive off their lot (my husband re-attached this; it took him 2 minutes.) After I left the lot and went to the feed store, I could not get my camper shell open. It was not a result of the collision, but the adjuster had jammed it when she tried to open it and no one made sure it was okay before they sent my truck home. The experience and workmanship were such a disappointment that we passed on their offer to look at my truck again. read more
