The service was top quality, excellent. I received a text two or three times a week, giving me an update on the work. Adrian, Fi and Josh were friendly, professional, and understanding. They finished the work earlier than they had projected. My car looked perfect after the bumper was replaced. They even cleaned the inside and washed and waxed the outside. This place fortunately fixed my car in a timely manner, but just like a lot of these reviews says. They're communication is horrible. I would double confirm with everything they originally say just to make sure it is in-fact accurate information, and be extra patient. It took 2 months for something to be addressed when it should've taken about 2 weeks. The reviews at other gerber's look much better. I would probably just try a different location. Maybe it'll be a better experience. **Update** Some guy representing Gerber just called me to address my original review and he really just pissed me off! They get 5 stars for attention to detail. My insurance company paid for the repairs, so I can't say how well they do on their prices, but they probably saved some serious injuries to me in the future. I was rearended, so that is where the damage was. But, one of their mechanics (I wish I could remember the name - younger man, small beard, very friendly and professional) found that the tire rotator on the left wheel was busted and would probably give out in the next week or two (he showed me the mangled part). This was not due to the accident, but he caught it and replaced it anyway - for free! He said he could not let me drive away with that part in that condition. The repairs to the rearend were perfect. I brought my 2013 G37 coupe here back in 2016 around February after I got into a hit and run, which dented/mauled the driver's side door, rear quarter panel and driver side rear wheel. Gerber worked with my insurance through uninsured motorist coverage to repair the aforementioned damage. The panel and wheel work were essentially flawless. Unfortunately I went on to curb my refinished wheel soon there after. The only issue was a torn window gasket, which probably was damaged during removal of the door. They generally kept on schedule and made me aware of any delays or other issues throughout the process. read more

I'm writing this from the side of the road. In the three and a half weeks my car spent at Gerber, they replaced my door and a side view mirror. Then they replaced the side view mirror again, after I picked up the car and found that the mirror wouldn't budge and had to be physically forced into a safe driving position. I then drove my car out of the shop for 10 minutes, (a car with a perfectly clean, certified record, with absolutely no faults, having just got out of the dealership a few weeks previous) and had the thing shudder, refuse to accelerate above 40 mph. After spending time on the phone with Gerber (dead end, why bother) and my insurance (who stayed on the phone with me while I coaxed the vehicle back home - they're awesome) I decided to take it to my mechanic buddy (40+ years of experience). Except the car then displayed the same behavior and now here I sit on the side of I5, waiting for a tow and wondering why the heck my spotless vehicle is suddenly breaking down after it's stay at Gerber. I'll give you one guess. Almost done: as people, they weren't rude, but as professionals, they are anything but. The guy who appraised my car was probably 19, and most likely family or a family friend of the manager. The manager was condescending, physically hid from me, and gave off the impression that she was in the wrong industry. For the month my vehicle was in their shop, they contacted me two times. None of those times was to tell me my vehicle was ready. read more

These guys are great - my SUV was t-boned after the snow this winter, and when the place everyone recommended couldn't get me in, I went here as they were preferred by the other driver's insurance - who was footing the bill. I was so happy with them I'm looking at going back to have them tint the windows on my husband's car. Service was great, they kept me updated and were friendly through the entire thing. I had gotten into an accident today and I was pretty shaken up about it, my insurance sent me different shops that I could go to I chose this shop because they could get me in same day for a estimate, I didn't know what to expect walking into the office but I walked in and did some paperwork then he went over some insurance information with me after that we went outside to look at my car Wade was making jokes and making the process better than what I thought it would be. I found the initial service impressive, but it went downhill from there. I will say they kept me informed of what was going on with my vehicle and the final work was good, but it took so damn long. Just to get the final estimate took two weeks of me calling and asking about it. A month after I think we're all done I get a unexpected email from Gerber saying I owe Gerber $2,000. But no one in billing took the time to call the service rep I was working with, who thankfully cleared things up (thank you Cindy). To say I was stressed out over this unexpected $2000 bill would be an understatement. One phone call from billing to the service rep and I would not be writing this negative review. Concerned! I've been advised by my insurance company to take my car to Gerber. They advised me to take my car to the Lynnwood location. The first thing I noticed, the inspection took over an hour at 8:00 am because he had to do the report twice. 2nd thing, when they called with the estimate and to set up a time to bring my car in, they asked me to bring my car in on Friday. I asked if they worked on the weekend, the gal said no. I said "then why would I bring it it on friday? that is extra days for a car rental and it doesn't make sense." she advised they needed to have the car first thing Monday morning. I said "I can bring it Monday morning" I got tired of the back and forth and told her I was going to call my adjuster. The adjuster says absolutely not, they will not pay for a rental car on the weekend before the car repair. 3rd I call back to make an appointment for the 25th of April. I get a call from Gerber this morning to remind me of my appointment tomorrow. She asks me if I've received a payment from the insurance company. I say yes, she says I need to bring the payment with me. I say WHAT?! before you've done the work? She then starts to back off and says okay after, and reminds me that I have a 500 ded. I say yes, I know this. I'm getting worried about these people. They are a little shady, should I take my car somewhere else? read more

I would NOT suggest this Gerber at all! I had my car fixed here in April because they claim to "guarantee their work." They also initially gave a quick response to me. Checked my car out, gave me a quote the day after my accident. We asked if my car was safe to drive and they said "yeah sure it will be fine." After almost a week of working with my insurance company and waiting to get a service appointment with them, my car broke down because they missed a leak from the obvious puncture in my car. The radiator was punctured and spewing fluid and my engine shut down. I had my car towed from federal way all the way to Lynnwood because, again, they "guarantee their work." I hear from them the next day that they have received my car and would begin working. Almost two weeks later I am getting worried I haven't heard back but they finally call and say it will be ready in a few days. I asked what the leak was and they had no idea what I was talking about. And would call me tomorrow. A week later I call back because I hadn't heard from them and they informed me to wait one more week. Now my car is still having issues because of the new radiator and they still refuse to fix it despite they made me go spend an additional $125 on a diagnostic test that proves they messed up on my car. read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. I would never have taken my vehicle here had I read the reviews first. Not only was I pushed around and not focused on, they disrespected my family and the car. Very unprofessional and shows you how not to run a business. We had very minimal damage to our vehicle and they tore it apart to get as much money as they could from insurance saying all sorts of things wrong with it which was BS and I'm very detail oriented with my possessions. When we received the car back my Warning lights lit up like a Christmas tree! I had several messages on board telling me to take to manufacture ASAP do not drive etc... car didn't drive right at all. If I was in their shoes I would have taken the car back and fixed whatever was wrong or done something! They just ignored me and then said it wasn't their fault. Well, as a business owner I know when to admit my faults and they didn't! Also I take care of my customers no matter what I just don't practice bad business! Worst experience ever ! Super unprofessional company. Does not follow through. Cannot use email properly. I took car in on Saturday for estimate and the employee who looked at it stated he would write the estimate up and email me in 20 minutes. Today is Thursday and I never got an estimate emailed. I called earlier today and the woman who answered the phone sounded as dumb as a box of rocks. She placed me on hold. Said she would email me the estimate in 5 minutes. Got an email from her in 3 minutes. Nothing on subject line and nothing in body of email. Nothing attached. Only thing was her name and phone number. In October of last year, I was involved in an accident that damaged the right front end of my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. At the time of the accident, it had less than 14,000 miles, and was in perfect condition. Upon the recommendation of my insurance company, I took it to Gerber Collision in Lynnwood for repairs. Initially, they said it would take a week or two, and would call when it was done. A couple days later, they informed me that they couldn't fix it at their Lynnwood shop, and they needed to tow it up to Smokey Point. Well, that "week or two", turned into three, then four, then five. 40 DAYS LATER, they finally called and said it was ready for pickup at the Lynnwood shop. The final bill: $19,000 When I arrived, I could immediately tell they had done a shoddy job. I could see daylight between the body and the top, and between the door and the frame. I pointed it out, and one of the techs said he would take care of it while I waited. A few minutes later, he returned with a slight improvement in the door issue. After almost six weeks without my vehicle, I was in no mood to argue about it, so I took it as it was. On the way home, I noticed major wind noise coming from the roof, the alignment and braking were off, and the tire pressure warning light suddenly came on. So I called a friend who was a retired mechanic and asked him to take a look. He crawled under the vehicle, and literally within five seconds, got up and said, "take this back to the shop immediately". There were bolts and brackets missing, cables hanging loose, and a huge gouge in the frame. So back to the shop it went, and back into another rental car went I. A week later, they called and assured me all of the issues had been fixed, and I went back to pick it up again. A few days later, the windshield wiper fell off the arm, and created a huge scratch in the windshield. And a couple days after that, things got really bad... While driving from Bothell to Seattle, I stopped at a traffic light. When I pulled away, I lost all braking ability. The brake pedal went straight to the floor, and there was no way to stop. Thankfully I had my wits about me, and I made a sharp turn into a strip mall, coasted into a parking spot, and threw it in park to stop it. When I crawled under to take a look, what I saw was absolutely horrifying; the right front brake caliper had fallen completely off the vehicle, and was just hanging there. Had traffic been heavier, or if I would have made it to the freeway, I would almost certainly not be alive today to write this. I called Gerber and yelled at the lady on the phone, but she said everyone had gone home for the day. After threatening to sue them, she had the manager call me, and I waited around for an hour for a tow truck. Gerber said they couldn't fix it, so they were sending it to a brake shop. When I got it back the following week, I had my friend inspect it again. He said NONE of the issues had been addressed, and there were new ones, like a huge gouge in the wheel. No way was I taking it back to Gerber a fourth time, so I took it to the Jeep Dealer in Seattle. The service manager called and informed me that it was the worst repair job she had ever seen, that it needed $3,000 worth of work just to make it safe, and that if I declined the repairs, I would have to sign a waiver releasing them from liability in the event of my death! She emailed me a huge list of problems along with photos of bolts sticking out, missing brackets, bent steering arms, and a host of other atrocities. She also forwarded them to Gerber, and within 10 minutes, they agreed to pick up the tab. Two more weeks in the shop. Once all those issues had been addressed, I took it to another shop to deal with the top and door problems. After inspecting it, they said there was no way it could be repaired, and that it needed to be totaled. But because the insurance company had already dumped over $20,000 into it already, they refused, and stepped in to negotiate with Gerber. Gerber provided so-called comparable vehicles and offered to buy it from me. Problem is, when you have a vehicle that is only a year old, has only 15,000 miles on it, and was custom ordered from the factory, there is no such thing as a "comparable" used vehicle. The only way to replace it is to order a new one from the factory again, which takes 6-8 weeks. I called my attorney, and he said that even though Gerber had almost killed me TWICE, a lawsuit would be too expensive, and it was best to just settle. In the end, I was forced to settle for $10,000 less than what it cost me to replace it with a new one. And that's in addition to my $500 deductible, $200 in rental car taxes the insurance company wouldn't cover, and a couple thousand in lost wages from the time I had to take off work running back and forth from five trips to various shops. If you take your vehicle to Gerber, you are not only foolish, but you are putting your life at risk. Stay far away from this company. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP !!!....They were recommended on the Farmer's Insurance preferred list, but were the worst car repair experience EVER....shame on Farmers. This company's workers lied to us consistently about the progress and kept our car for two months for a tiny dent on the front bumper and a couple of damaged wheels. I have never had a worse experience with auto repair. Please....save yourself a lot of trouble, time and money...Steer Clear of this company! read more

I waited about 30 minutes but keep in mind I did not have an appointment. I was very distraught and upset with the thought of having to keep my rental car another few days (cost would've been around $90). My car is back and looks great. Brought my toyota van in this shop because Toyota dealership next door recommended them. I should have read the reviews online about this shop prior taking my van here. All the negative reviews were all true. I have a third party responsible for the damage repair, no insurance involve. This 3rd party has been on top of its responsibility, as soon as I sent them the estimate given to me, they cut the check and mailed it directly to the shop including my license plate number, model yr of car, and invoice / file number stated from the estimate sheet. As a matter of fact, they mailed the check a week before I brought the van in. Long story short, the shop is claiming they never got the check. So the third party had to place a stop payment on the check sent and mailed them another one. Come to find out, the check has been sitting on someones desk in the shop. The rep that i spoke to at the shop gave some of excuses that the person in charge has been sick at home so thats why nobody knew they had the check the whole time. Nobody even bothered to look after several follow ups (knowing the person incharge has been out sick) Another issue that i do not get was when i came for the estimate- the guy who did the estimate said it will only take 5 days. When i drop off my van, he said (same guy who did the estimate) said it will take 14 days the least.... WOW! Big difference! Then another person on another day said 10 days.. i dont know what to believe anymore! With my persistence in getting my van back asap- i kept on calling to follow up- while they were still waiting for the missing check. The 3rd party sent an image of the checks sent... so they change my van status to "paid status" and is ready to be pick up in couple days... it sounds to me that they are delaying it because they have not been paid yet. Not to mention they have this text message updates which are useless and annoying because its not accurate! I was told to just ignore it because its just automated and its not accurate info, then what is the point of sending it? When i picked up the van, they were trying to blame the 3rd party for not communicating with them, i have been communicating with them and the 3rd party has been too. Another lie excuse She also mentioned that few people from that shop just left the company. So? Not an excuse why they messed up! I was just given too many excuses for their fault.. I would never ever bring any of my vehicles in thsi shop. I am sharing this info, so no one will have to experience what i did. They are all unprofessional. And expect a call that theres more to the estimate.. which is another story to tell... but i think ive said enough to make people not want to bring their vehicle in any gerber shop! read more

In two months both myself and my wife were rear ended and went to Gerber, as it was reccomdend by our insurance. My car had a non related dent that was fixed at a discount, since other work was being done. When returned, my car was perfectly detailed. It was almost like getting a free detailing with the repair. My wife's car took a while (ordering parts, etc), but they did a nice job. After we had my wife's car back for a week I scratched it on the side of the garage. I went to Gerber again and the lady (Jessica?) used a little polish and had one of their guys buff it out for about 10 minutes (for free). It's about 95% back to normal and doesn't really need any work. I couldn't have been more impressed, as I was expecting to spent $100-$150. I have no reason to go to any other body shop. My car was involved in a hit & run in downtown Seattle (first accident ever in my 15+ years of driving and it involved my 2-year-old BMW). The doors got some huge dents and my insurance company recommended Gerber. I was apprehensive initially because my car is a lease and I wanted to go with a European auto body shop my dealer recommended, however I had to wait over a month until my car would get fixed and could not wait. I went into Gerber to get the estimate and they reassured me that only OEM (original parts) would be used so I decided to take a risk and get it done. Preston helped me out from beginning to end and I got updates every few days regarding my car. I got my car back and it is back to being a beautiful new BMW. I was pleased with the repair and thought Preston went out of his way to help me so kudos to him. read more

The worst! Took 8 days to replace my door, but told me it would be 3. Never called with updates, I had to call. Picked up my car in the dark. Next morning, daylight, I see my antenna is gone! They couldn't find it so they said they would order a new 1. Here it is 2 weeks and 2 days later! I get put on hold, disconnected, put through to voice mail, etc. Still no antenna. My car is a new Kia. Shouldn't be that hard to get. Don't go there! read more

From beginning to end every single person was professional and very helpful. Phone calls were answered promptly. The front desk personnel went above and beyond any expectations, getting a photograph of my license plate so that I could get my personal plates on my replacement car and understanding my situation in dealing with a ruined car from far away. Even the men in the shop that took the car apart were very kind as I emptied my totaled car of all personal belongings. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Gerber again and will definitely recommend them to friends. Thank you for your kindness and excellent customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNQUALIFIED. I had a similar experience in 2016 as others who were referred to Gerber from USAA. They took FOREVER to even look at the car (at least 2-3 weeks) and the entire rebuild took about a month. I was stuck with the bill for the rental car, even though the accident was not my fault, because the insurance company said it took such an unreasonably long time to fix the car. Then, they made a mistake when rebuilding the car, and the windows did not roll up/down. They claimed it must have happened before the accident and to take it to the dealer for an assessment. After taking it to the dealer, they verified that it was part of the accident and Gerber was responsible, at which point, I had to take it back to Gerber to fix their mistake. What an expensive hassle. I plan on calling USAA again to recommend removing Gerber from their list of preferred vendors. read more

So after a collision I had to choose an auto body shop that was preferred by my insurance company, so I chose Gerber. All I can say is - EPIC FAIL. Not only did they "miss" part of the repairs the first time around, after the 2nd visit they replaced my tire with one unmatched to my set, couldn't or should I say didn't get to the bottom of the clunking noise that was going on when I applied the brakes and and turned the wheel. After having to bring the vehicle to a shop where they actually know what they are doing, they found the following - they had "refurbished" my 2 front rims (meaning they repainted them) because they had so much wobble to them the mechanics at the secondary place I went said that they were surprised I stayed on the road at higher speeds. On top of that, apparently they "overlooked" the fact that my all wheel drive transmission was leaking fluid like a waterfall - and now after all this I'm looking at a total of $6,300.00 of additional repairs due to pure negligence. If I was able I would have given Gerber a -5 stars. read more

Got rear-ended in rush hour traffic after work one night. After talking to both insurance companies they both had Gerber on their "go-to" list. Went there the next morning, while I could overlook the receptionist being blatantly rude and looking like I wasn't worth her time of day. As I am waiting for someone to help me a gentleman comes in talking to one of the employees, (Robbie, the one who ended up helping me as well) he was asking why it was taking so long to hear back from them. Claiming that they never contacted him after he dropped his car off to be repaired, it had been over 2 weeks without contact or the job being finished. RED FLAG. After Rob took pictures of my car, I waited 1 week before being called back claiming they lost the pictures and had none of my information anymore. after going back a 2ND time and having more pictures taken he said they would get an estimate together and contact both me and my insurance agent. It has now been 3 1/2 weeks and i have had no calls, emails anything from these people. so now after being in my first accident ever it has been over a month and there is 0 progress to getting this fixed. They simply wasted my time and wont admit their faults. They treat people like dirt, and have no respect for peoples time or cars. I wil never go back there and will advise everyone who asks to go anywhere else. read more

My Vehicle was in a collision and initially brought it to the Burlington shop, but they were overbooked so it was delivered to the Lynnwood shop. I expressed concern to ensure they payed specific attention to the drive train, suspension and frame seeing the truck got t-boned directly on the back axel. The shop ensured me everything checked out, completed the repairs and had the truck delivered back to Burlington, I was assured the truck was ready and complete. When I picked the truck up, my wife who was following me home immediately had me pull over because the rear wheel was wobbling badly. The lug nuts were tight so I immediately returned the truck to the shop. I was told the next day that Les Schwab found 2 of 3 bolts missing in the left rear brake caliper, but the wheel was still wobbling so the Burlington Gerber shop brought the truck to the Dodge Dealership. Dodge determined the axle was bent, wheel bearings needed to be replaced as well as the ABS Sensor. This was determined on the 26th of April 2018. My insurance adjuster verified the needed repairs and cut a check to Gerber on the 30th of April 2018, understandable lag time due to a weekend in between. At this point Gerber has dragged their feet, it took till the 2nd of May to get authorization to the dealership to do the repairs. The truck was completed by the dealership at 11:00 am on the 3rd of May. Gerber attempted to pick up the truck at 4:00pm on the 3rd of May but had no form of payment to pay the dealership, telling me they had not received a check from my insurance company, even though the check was sent electronically to them on the 30th of April. I was informed on the 4th of May that the corporate office had the payment and they would send a check to the Burlington office to get my truck back from the dodge dealership. Well it is way past 5;30 and everyone is closed for the weekend. Still no truck, guess I'll see what excuses come up Monday, now will be the 7th of May. Steer Clear of Gerber Collision!!! My biggest issue was they released a vehicle to me as complete and safe to drive, thank god I wasn't on the freeway and the brake caliper and wheel flew off. If I could give a 0 out of 10 rating, I would, supposed to have been a 25 day repair but now 45 days without my truck. Uggh!!! STAY AWAY FROM GERBER!! read more

Can't honestly speak to the quality of repairs from this company because after our vehicle was transported there via tow (had just been in a significant collision), we ended up having to suffer a total loss. However, during the time we dealt with them over the phone and upon coming in in person to collect our belongings and say one last goodbye to our truck, both Lori in the office and David in the shop displayed SUPERIOR customer service. Even though we didn't utilize their services by traditional means, just knowing how well they treat their customers during the short time we did work with them will make us think twice about taking ANY future repairs elsewhere!
