I call bullshit on getting a cold soda while u wait. Before I stopped going there due to negligence, the only cold thing I got was a cold stare by the manager/owner (stingy scumbag). I'm under the impression employees are on drugs or suffer from dementia as they forgot to tighten the drainage bolt twice on two separate cars on two separate occasions. The owner seems to think it's ok as long as they tighten it the second time I take it in. Does not take into account that most customers don't have the time to take a car in twice for an oil change that should be done right the first time. As an owner I would be embarrassed and refund money if I didn't do the job right. I want to support small business in my city but if they show no accountability for fuck ups, it drives unsatisfied customers to larger corporations that will step up and make things right. I'm really upset with this shop, I took my wife"s car & then my own car. Sure you get a 10 mins oil change, but the employees are young & inexperience, don't double check there's work, I have to tell them & point out to lube my grease fitting, & above all over filled my oil. I had to go back & have them drain out the over filled oil. SO UPSET!!! I DON'T RECOMMENCED THIS PLACE!!! Definitely the best oil change experience I've had in Whittier. I've had some bad experiences locally so I normally take my Dodge to the dealership and deal with the hour plus wait. The service was friendly competent and fast. They use quality Pennzoil oil so I was very happy to see that. They cleaned my windshield and made some maintenance suggestions without pressuring me on an up sale. One suggestion was for a free service at a nearby tire center. This place has bad service and they are rip offs..my son took my car for an oil change there cause its down the street from our house...they did the oil change and charged for it..then told my son the the oil drain plug had stripped threads and needed to be replaced and that would cost and then lube guy said they would have to charge for another oil change as well..not realizing what was going on and not having enough money my son said no thank you and let me know..i have never had issues before with my drain plug it was weird..took it to valvoline on whittier blvd and painter they confirmed no problem showed me plug and every thing good. no problem with the threads...after telling my family we compared notes and my son in law told me he took his car for an oil change at this place and they did the change oil and proceeded to tell him he had water in his oil and they could fix it..my son in law didnt have enough money but decided to get it checked somewhere else later after pay day...everything was fine..these guys just trying to make extra cash on the backs of our community..so sad.. What a joke. I get to this place at 3:30 this afternoon there are two cars being serviced in front of me. I pull into the left hand lane and observe a young lady working on some paperwork, charging a credit card and finishing up with a customer she doesn't make eye contact with me in fact almost looked around me. The vehicle on the right side leaves and I wait, anticipating they would motion me to come forward to be serviced next, they do not. Instead a car that had pulled up after me is motioned to pull forward so his oil change can begin. I sit and watch as the girl pulls staples out of the door that enters into the office area inside of the building, she still could care less that I'm sitting there and hasn't even bothered to recognize my being there or tell me to wait or indicate that this business actually wants my money/business. This goes on for a total of 8 minutes I start my truck, back out and leave. I don't think they even cared that I was gone as they didn't even take notice of me. I am in the auto industry myself and this does teach me very, very valuable lesson . Recognize and validate your customers presence, even if it's only to tell them, I'll be with you in just a moment. So for that I would give them 5 stars, but for customer service I would give them a -5, but since yelp will only let you put up as little as 1 star I will reluctantly give them that. read more

Went to get an oil change and they left my oil cap off sitting on the engine. When I left there was oil spattering all over my engine making it smoke. And after that was discovered. My car was leaking oil and it turns out they didn't screw on the oil filter all the way so it was leaking. The filter was able to turn a good 2 turns before it was properly secure. read more

I'm SO disappointed with this shop. They refused to give my husband a full refund for a mistake they made so I tried to call to work something out with the owner. I spoke with Brad who said he is the co owner. When I explained the issue, he started yelling at me saying, "what do you want me to do? I'm having a really bad day." I told him I wanted a full refund and he said, "I can't do that, I have a lot of bills to pay." As a customer, this is not something he should be telling me. It is none of my concern. When I started to tell him this, he continued to yell at me saying, "the product is in your car, I can't refund that money." He then hung up on me before I had a chance to say anything else! I have never been treated with such disrespect! This company obviously does not care about their customers. My husband paid $34.75 for the oil change and Brad couldn't even authorize a refund for that amount! The best he could do was offer us a $10 discount on the next service. Horrible! I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and the Better Business Bureau. I'm truly appalled that a co owner is treating customers this way. I have a large network of friends who I refer to different places and I will not hesitate to tell all of them about the poor treatment I received at this shop. read more

The reason I am writing this update though is that they also fixed my burned out brake light for just a few bucks. I knew about it when I went in but I didn't mention it because I did not think they had bulbs there. But sure enough, they noticed it themselves and said they could easily replace it. I have noticed a high turnaround rate with the guys who work there which should have been a red flag months or even years ago.
