I came in to get an airbag error checked and hopefully cleared. But before I could even explain my issue the kid in the front starts going off on some rant about how the person I spoke with on the phone should have never asked me to come in and asked me how would he know if I've had thousands of dollars of work done somewhere else? I'm not sure why he would just start assuming random scenarios. This was completely unprofessional regardless. I drove off thinking this place is a joke and took my business elsewhere as I recommend you should as well. His dad actually owns the German auto shop on LA Ave in simi for older cars but for newer models Gino is your guy! He scans/inspects my cars for free and will fix minor things for free if it's just something that plugs or screws in (at least he did for me, not sure if he does for everyone. Went to start my 2015 Audi Q7 Sunday morning; dead in the water; wasn't sure if it was the starter or battery. Had it towed to German Auto Specialist first thing next day; place was packed with cars on a hectic Monday morning, but Gino/Debbie got me squared away and provided free shuttle service as well. The coil and housing broke apart on my 2015 BMW 435i convertible and Gino got the hard to find part and repaired it quickly. It was a costly part and Gino and the shop was fair on labor. When I need work done I typically contact several shops and Gino was prompt and provided a very competitive price. After chatting with him I could tell he was a car guy that is knowledgeable and very experienced. I don't typically like others working my cars, however I left feeling my car was in good hands. I picked up my car late in the day and appreciated him and his partner waiting for me to get there. I was glad it was done the same day. My only con is they changed the pressure in my tires to over 40 psi. [oof!] This isn't a big deal but I set my pressures to fine tune the handling. And, there was no mention of the missing bottom pan which I had removed. Again, not a big deal, but it's important to have it installed. Have an '08 535i and the dealers were just hammering me w/ labor fees & ridiculous charges for parts. Found Gino's shop through our local ads and decided to try them out. I was very pleased about his service, although I did have to wait a bit to see him as it was a busy day I guess & there was no one in the reception desk cause it seems he mans every aspect if his business.
