Germantown Pub is one of our favorite casual places to go in Nashville. We stopped for a drink after the Farmer's Market, sat at the bar, didn't know if we were hungry. Devohn was our bartender - top notch! I tried a Cumberland Cooler - gin, elderflower, cucumber, lime and simple syrup. Not what I expected as to taste but so refershing and satisfying. Decided to get a couple apps - the Pub chips with chicken and avacado and some Fiesta poppers. So much food, we packed up enough to eat for dinner! The servers are so friendly and just the whole atmosphere is great. Complimented Devohn on his bartending - I love watching a bartender work and he had command of everything. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. Ample parking either in lot or on the street. Quick service. It's always steadily busy, but I've never had to wait for a table. It's seat yourself. Lots of bar seating. Tons of TVs from all angles, if you're looking for a spot to watch a game. But the highlight is the food. The GTP Burger is my favorite. I ate it 3 days in a row when I first discovered it because I had to show all my friends. Wings are amazing, the best I've had in Nashville. Chicken and Waffles are a hearty portion and delicious. I'm a frequent flyer for two reasons. The food and drinks!!! Food is always delicious and hot. I never regret what I ordered although I sometimes eat too much. I can't help myself. The drinks are strong and filled to the rim. They will ensure you have a beverage in hand even if it is not alcoholic. Be patient. It looks like the bartender was also serving. So it did take a minute to place orders and get our orders. But it was all worth it. The staff was pleasant and very apologetic. We know currently everyone is short staffed so it was no issue at all. I know I will continue to up my reviews the more I visit GTP. Nashville is a 2nd home for me and while I was in college here, I've never heard of or visited the pub. I was in town in December and decided to have a late night bite before heading back home to DC. At first glance, the pub is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. You can tell the locals hang out here and from what I hear EVERYTHING is good! After my girlfriends and I settled on what we wanted to eat . . . everyone order the catfish nuggets while I ordered the buffalo wings, fries and spicy green beans. It was A-OK just like my rating. The buffalo sauce wasn't hot but had good flavor, the fries were good and I was expecting fresh spicy green beans and not fried. Had I known the green bean were fried I would've not ordered it. I had 2 bites and slid the basket to the side. All in all I had a great time. The service, food and booze was good. I will be back I promise and to explore more . . . see ya soon!! read more

This place is good for the most part. As an ATLien, wings are a backbone of Atlanta culture. I have my expectations set high for fried wings unless they are cooked differently. As these were served, I noticed these were massive wings! For my preference, I like a small to medium sized wing. These were big bites of wings. Usually when they are big wings it is tricky to fry them crispy. That being said they were fried perfectly! I got mine tossed in Buffalo and lemon pepper. These were fried good but I do not think my go to flavor (Buffalo + lemon pepper) is the best route for these wings and would try a different flavor if I ever come back to this place. The cheesesteak was also average to me as the flavors were all there. Which is why I gave this place a 3/5 stars. However, if you want to have a good time and if you prefer bigger wings like these, I definitely recommend this place to you! read more

TL;DR: probably 4 to 4.5 stars on normal day because of the quality of food and location, but only gets a 3 today for slow and spotty service. Wife and I just moved to Germantown and figured we'd try to grab some grub from a local place we could walk to. The atmosphere was like most other bars you've ever been to, with a variety of clientele. It's seat yourself, so we grabbed a table outside and waited. And waited. And waited. Turns out someone called in sick, so our poor waitress was working the relatively busy place all by herself. Didn't catch her name, but she was super nice and apologetic the whole time, so it didn't affect her tip in least (but it does affect the rating). We started off with a Tennessee mule (made with grapefruit vodka; it was delicious and I don't like grapefruit) for my wife and an alt old fashioned for me (made with rum and ended up being way too sweet). Again, it took forever to get the drinks because of the single waitress but also because the bartender was apparently new as well. The food took a while to get to us and they had to remake my wife's burger because they put tomatoes on there and she's very allergic, but once it came out, boy was it good. I got the Nashville hot burger (special rub, pickles, Pico, pepper jack, and a big ol' jalapeño on top) and my wife got the GTP burger (fried egg, cheddar, and swiss). Both were mouthwatering delicious with great flavors that complemented each other well. I particularly liked the homemade pickles on mine; nice crunch with a great sour flavor. The house fries that come on the side were also truly fantastic. The side Caesar salad my wife got was okay, just drenched in dressing, as salads are wont to be when you don't order the dressing on the side. Overall, we'll probably come back and give them another chance because the burgers really were that good and it's so close to our apartment. read more

The service was highly disorganized and probably the lowest part of our experience. It was very busy and there was no one to greet us at the door to help us find seating. The bread was not right, the steak was over cooked, and the cheese was not tasty. My daughter would only eat the fries. I thought the catfish was much better but still little flavor. Not a fan of this place. Walked in on a Sunday night when they were decently busy but definitely not slammed. Sat ourselves outside at the only clean table (others were occupied or hadn't been bussed). Waiter arrived after 5 minutes or so and took drink orders but forgot the beer. We ordered food (which the waiter punched into an electronic order thing that presumably sent a ticket to the kitchen) and we asked again about the beer only to find out they had just run out of it. The second choice was delivered in a can after waiting a while. After a half hour had gone by, the waiter came out to apologize that the food was taking so long and said he would check on it with the kitchen. He came out a while after, apologized, and said they were having issues with their system and the ticket never printed for the kitchen. Our food came out around 15 minutes after. I asked for no pico on the nachos but it had it anyway but the ground beef on top was the nastiest part--it was so singed it was crunchy. The burger was just average. We finished our food as they stacked chairs in the restaurant despite being 30 minutes from closing time and still having quite a few patrons inside. We were eager to leave anyway and likely won't ever return. The atmosphere, food and customer service all left something to be desired. read more

I've been coming here for a while now I'm surprised I never posted a review. So here it is, Germantown Pub makes one of the best burgers in Nashville. I like that they participate in Nashville Burger Week and Hot Chicken Week. Burger week: I've had The Himmel burger, nice size beef patty, cheddar cheese, fried egg, caramelized onion, with bacon fennel jam on a soft bun. The bacon fennel jam was a nice touch to this burger. I had to come back before burger week ended just to get another one of this amazing burger. Nashville hot chicken week: I had their hot chicken sandwich, and man it was so big that the toast looked tiny. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint, not only was the size huge the chicken was packed with flavor. It was nice spice too it. I've had good service here there were times that the service was slow and that's understandable when they are busy but the food makes up for it. read more

Okay this review is purely for the drink and atmosphere. We did not eat here this time. My friend and I had some time to kill so we wanted to grab a drink. We stopped in around 2 pm on a Saturday and were able to easily get a table with no wait. They had a seat yourself concept. Now this place would have received 4 stars because initially the service was very slow. It took us a good amount of time to get the drinks we got and we got our water after. However, our server changed and she took great care of us. I initially asked for a water no ice (I just can't drink it fast enough) but the new server brought out water with ice. It's not the end of my world and I just wanted water period. But then a minute later she stopped by and picked up my ice water and traded it for a water with no ice. That was great service. Th music was also hitting. My friend and I had just planned to stop in for one drink but we were enjoying ourselves so got another. She said her normal mule was very refreshing and light! They usually do a special for burger week, which is great. If you go, go with plenty of time because they get slammed, which makes sense when you're offering a $5 burger.
