I've been to Get Fresh Cafe thrice. I can't seem to fall in love with it as much as I want to with all the vegan options. The food is good, but it is a small portion for the amount you pay. I try to keep in mind everything is made fresh & healthy. Nothing I've tried has me wanting to go back. I'm still going to support them because they do offer vegan options. Everyone is super friendly & patient. It's clean. It's a small place; it's a good place to sit down with another person. My plan is eventually to try everything vegan there & find something I love. read more

I just love this cafe. They have a very good vegan menu. I always have great customer service when I go. Their specials make it easier to try a variety of foods. The bakeless brownies are very good. I love this place! I go at least 3 to 4 times a month. The food is good and the staff are nice and caring. My favorites are the eggless "egg" salad sandwich, turkey and provolone wrap. Soups are yummy as well as their drinks. I love their vegan almond cookies and their macaroni salad is soooo good. They are locally owned so please give them some love. BF and I stopped by for smoothies for the road. Was greeted by friendly staff. Opted for the Strawberry Banana. Bridget prepared our drinks and it came out rather fast. Both she and the other staff, Andrea, were very sweet and engaged in discussions with us. Didn't get a chance to order food but by the looks of what they were serving to the other customers and photos on Yelp, I'm sure they're just as amazing as the drinks. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I went with my parents and boyfriend. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with the cilantro dressing and I asked for extra dressing which after seeing the bowl for my first dressing I probably didn't need the extra but I was happy to put it on my salad because I could drink that dressing it was so good. My mom got the Cobb salad with regular ranch and she loved it. Shes a diabetic so we are always happy to find a place that offers healthy meals she can happily eat without worry. My dad got the warm chicken panini and he really liked it. He said he wished he got a cold sandwich instead but he still enjoyed his meal and would love to try more from them. My boyfriend got the special of the day which included half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. The half of sandwich was huge! He loved and devoured it. Then we all split a margarita pizza, and oh my goodness it was amazing! The crust was thin and the ingredients all tasted so fresh and nice. I definitely want to go back and if not to eat in again to at least take a salad home. And again I want to drink the dressing it was so good!! Also we went in about an hour and a half before closing and they still were so nice and didn't rush us as all (which I totally would have understood if they did.) but the staff was so sweet and nice and happily served us even when it was cutting it close to closing. I will definitely always recommend this place if youre looking for a healthy meal, they have plenty of low carb options as well which is nice. The whole ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy and nice. It was smaller than we thought it would be but that didn't take away from the meal at all. This place is ok but not consistent. The service is spotty. They could be and were fantastic on my first visit but the next two were not so great. After seeing several positive yelp reviews I made time to come try Get Fresh Café. You walk in and order at the counter. The girl who helped me was pleasant and I liked the knick knack decorations to the left of the counter. I thought it was odd that all of their cutlery except for the silverware and soup bowl were paper. They gave me a small paper cup of water and my salad came on a large paper plate. I ordered the cranberry walnut salad and the butternut squash soup. They served me the salad first and it was delicious and very fresh with lots of kale, cranberries and walnuts. The vinegarette dressing made it the perfect lunch salad. After finishing my salad they brought me the soup. It was mildly warm, but surprisingly quite spicy. I'm used to butternut squash soup being very mild and slightly sweet. I needed three cups of water to finish the soup and that's a little to much in my book. Overall I left full and satisfied. I was surprised how busy it was at lunch time, by the time I left all the tables (about five) were full and people were waiting to sit down. They do have free wifi with plenty of outlets by the tables. They have one bathroom that was clean. I wish the menu was a bit more extensive, but I would come back. I think they are a new business and have room to improve, but I'm glad that they are in the AV. read more

This place was delicious. After an hour long zumba class, I was starving. I felt I had depleted my body of every nutrient. I wanted to go have lunch without feeling guilty about ruining the work I had done in zumba. I remembered hearing about Get Fresh Cafe and decided to try it out. Let's start with the Cafe itself. It was very clean and somehow way more spacious than the outside would convey. The staff was nice. I was helped by Bridget. There were specials on the chalkboard by the ordering counter. I think it was $12.95 for a sandwich, soup, and salad. I ordered jalapeño infused cucumber lemonade to drink. It was crisp and refreshing. I was not expecting that. It was a pleasant surprise. I left wishing I had ordered another to go. The raspberry walnut salad was amazing. The raspberry vinaigrette didn't have an awful aftertaste a lot of vinaigrettes do. Everything tasted crisp and fresh. The twisted tuna sandwich is the tuna all other tuna wishes to be when it grows up. Served on soft sourdough with organic tomatoes and spinach leaves, the tuna has jalapeños and mayo and relish deliciously blended to bring a party to your tastebuds. The tomato bisque was the nectar of God's. Created with thick coconut milk and organic tomatoes and herbs, this bisque is surprisingly hearty and delicious. I want to try other menu items in the future but this is one of those places where it is so good, youll fear straying from what you've already tasted. read more

They could've turn on the AC instead of just using ceiling fans in a hot summer afternoon where the sun shines through the window and is only blocked by thin curtains. Absolutely love this place! I'm plant based, and they they have plenty of delicious plant based options. My favorite is the Not-So Tuna sandwich with the Macaroni salad but because it's so popular they often sell out. The Meatless meatball sub and the taco salad are also super yummy! The restaurant is on an island In the middle of a parking lot so it's fairly easy to pass. When you walk in the cash register is fairly close to the door so it's quite cozy when you're attempting to take a look at the menu and place your order. When you get in however you are greeted with warm happy smile and a very versatile menu. My husband and I went there specifically for vegan options and we were not disappointed. We ended up eating vegan taco salad with homemade dressing and a meatless meatball sandwich. We ate every bite of both and asked for a container to take the rest of the salad dressing home with us. Get fresh café is warm, comfortable and welcoming. The food is delicious, made to order and definitely with love. So once again 5 stars!!! Went in to wait for a friend while waiting had an amazing convo with the owner then to my surprise when I asked for coffe saying I have a headache she said "I think you are dehydrated try some coconut water". To which I responded "ew no I cannot drink coconut water or tastes like sweet you know what". She laughed we went back and forth she got me to agree to try to drink alkaline water but she tried to sneak some coconut water in! I immediately noticed and we laughed. I must say though the water wasn't to bad, it was drinkable, and you know what within about 20 minutes maybe less my headache was gone!!!!! I was so shocked !! All that said to show she really cares about the people she serves!!! Now to the food - last time I was in she convinced me to try the "not so tuna" (now thinking of this I should have known she was right about my headache) I told her no way I never liked sea food and the smell of tuna always turned my stomach ! She said no just try it and let me sample a bit of the mixture and you know what I loved it ! So much so that I ordered it again today. I also tried the veggie panini after hearing the cashier talk about the sauce on there-" a mixture of garlic and rosemary"- and man I am so glad I did because that sauce is amazing !!!! I didn't know there were mushrooms on it - I typically hate mushrooms but I devoured this sandwich! I also got the "chickenless chicken panini" the vegan pesto with sundries tomatoes is so good! My friend ordered a bit of everything to take back to her non vegan friends and she reported back this morning they gobbled it all up living every bite! Cute little vegan friendly cafe in the hills of California. I was in the area visiting Antelope Valley Community College and was pleased to learn that there was a vegan friendly cafe. My salad was delicious, and the staff extremely friendly. A lot of my vegan friends complain that restaurants call salads Vegan Friendly and they have no other options. First time here and was annoyed by the lack of professionalism and service I received. There was two people working that I could see, one cook and one cashier. Once I walked in I went straight to the counter, I was the only one. The lady behind the counter (cashier) was on the phone taking a phone order, she looked up and said she would be right with me. That was ok with me I had no issue in waiting for her to complete her phone order. What bothered me, and I feel this was very unprofessional, was what she done after she completed her call. She asked the other lady working (cook) how to retrieve the last number that called and began to look for the number, then she received two additional phone calls to the restaurant. One call no one responded because she kept saying hello and then hung up. The next call she answered and begin taking another order before even getting to me. The first question to her co-worker about how to retrieve a last call number could have waited until she was finished with the customer who was standing right in front of her. And taking the second call is ok but the proper etiquette would have been to place the call on hold until you were finished with the customer that was present (me). First impressions are everything and one bad experience can have a huge affect on a persons whole experience at a restaurant. Was the food good? I had the Not So Tuna and it was ok. Didn't have much flavor to me. Would I get it again? Probably not. Would I return to the restaurant again? Maybe (more on the maybe not side) The reason I didn't give this restaurant a one star is because the sandwich I had was not nasty, it tasted fresh just lacking flavor. Conveniently close to my hotel. Quick, fresh, healthy and delicious! Tuna with a Twist is a mildly spicy and flavorful twist on tuna salad. Deluxe. The T-Day 365 conjures up memories of Thanksgivings past with turkey, cranberry sauce and cream cheese on whole grain wheat bread. Tasty. Definitely going to have this one again and again.
