Very spacious in here! Food was solid. I was hoping to have their nam khao but they were out that day. Instead I had the Panang curry which was very yummy. Lao pad thai was also great. Jerky was flavorful. Service was good. Would come back!

I've really missed Thai Mii Up, so I was excited to learn that the family has opened another restaurant with a similar concept. There's plenty of parking in the plaza, and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated. Seating includes booths as well as round tables that work well for larger parties. I've visited several times since they opened, and the service has always been good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. For food, I've ordered the fried tofu, which is light and comes with a sweet chili dipping sauce. The Laos sausage is homemade, and you can definitely tell. The chicken wings are lightly breaded, and I love the small straw container the sticky rice is served in. My favorite dishes on the menu are the pad see ew and the lar nar. I highly recommend Get Thai's Up. As a bonus, the claw arcade is connected to the restaurant, making it a fun spot to visit.

We recently tried the new Get Thai'd Up and overall had a good experience with some room to grow. We started with the fresh veggie spring rolls, which were fresh and enjoyable. We had also ordered edamame, but it never came out and we had to ask for it to be removed from the bill. For our mains, we ordered the Pad Thai with chicken (medium heat) and the shrimp fried rice. The Pad Thai was good overall, though it had a slightly non-traditional flavor profile, and the medium heat was a bit underwhelming--we were hoping for more of a kick. The shrimp fried rice was the biggest missed opportunity; it was under-seasoned and could really benefit from bolder flavors. That said, the service was generally good, and the establishment itself is very cute and welcoming. Overall, it's a solid spot with potential--just needs to rework the flavors a bit. We'd consider coming back to see how it improves.

Ordered take out, everything was done on time and there was no wait. There wasn't anyone at the entrance area, so I walked myself to the staff near the kitchen. The restaurant looked very clean, comfy and well lit. The massaman curry and lemongrass fish were my favorites. I'd pass on either pad thai. Spicy basil stir fry was good, I thought the spice level was pleasant, others thought it needed more heat.

Good parking and really nice waitstaff. The wine was a generous pour, which is always nice... but then we ate. Our first course was a "shrimp cocktail", which was six giant shrimp that had long outgrown their flavor, and a cocktail sauce that was extremely heavy on the horseradish. Second course: I had the Italian Wedding Soup. Husband had a side salad which he said was just fine. The soup was a large bowl of soup, and by the time we got halfway through, our entrees arrived, so we set the entrees aside to finish our sides. The soup was fairly tasteless; in fact it was very similar to the Progresso canned soup of the same name. I couldn't eat it all. A cup of soup would have worked much better. And then we turned to our entrees. Mine was Chicken Parmigiana and husband had spaghetti with marinara with a chicken cutlet. The amount of spaghetti in the big white bowl was - and I am not exaggerating - about the size of a soccer ball, with the chicken riding on top. The marinara on my husband's pasta tasted like tomato sauce without much of anything else. The Vodka sauce on mine was better. Cardinal sin of Italian dining: there was water in my husband's pasta that mingled with the sauce until it was like tomato soup. But why am I complaining about too much food, even when it wasn't that tasty? Because it didn't feel like dining, it felt like feeding time at the zoo. I suggest they concentrate their portions a bit and add flavor. I hope their $58 steaks are better. We brought home our leftovers, but we're going to add some veggies & spices to them. I really wanted to like this place, and I'm sad that I didn't.

We started with a flight of mediocre (as it turned out) red wines; a Grenache, an Italian varietal, and a Cabernet. 3x2 or 6 ounces for $15.00. None of the wines were very good. We like to sample wines by the flight so we can drive up to Georgetown liquor and get a bottle. None of these were even close to prompting a visit there. For food we had a peach, tomato, quinoa, goat, and kale salad. We also had a cheese flight and I had the spicy meatballs. Expensive and very small portions. My meatball app was $15 and was 1 and 1/2 small meatballs doused in Frank's with a squirt of blue cheese. It was spicy as advertised but meager. Cheese flight was ok, but also $13 for not a lot. Spoiler alert: if their menu says 'shareable', it's not, unless one of you (or both) are fasting. Service was adequate and we got to enjoy the live music entertainment sound check (we got there before the actual performance). Guy banging on the percussion box: yes, it's way too loud for the tiny space. Usual server upselling of their overpriced menu items and drinks, but not delivering much in the way of hospitality or warmth. I don't think we would go back unless one of our friends wanted to. I think if you just want to drink and listen to live music, this place will work for you.

My husband ordered a cold sub and was happy with how stacked it was. He also said the house made Italian dressing was delicious. The sandwich was perfect and I can see Capone's being my new sub go to. The sub was around 19 with tax which is a little pricey to me, but the quality was excellent. I was interested in pizza but didn't like seeing the pizza slices just sitting out in the open. They are not covered or in any type of casing. Hearing how this restaurant Redd Wood shares the primary owner of Redd, Richard Reddington; I knew I wasn't not going to be disappointed since Redd is a favourite of mine. Starting off with a few appetizers, the deviled eggs were great. I can't say the caviar was necessary since we both didn't really taste it and the filling for the deviled eggs overpowered the texture and taste of the caviar, nevertheless we both enjoyed these. We also placed in an order for the tuna tartare. This came on sticky rice and had a primary flavour of sesame. The tuna was fresh, and it was a fantastic appetizer. The only disappointment we had with this dish is it states there is pear which we did not find throughout the dish nor taste. We saw they offered caprese which was done with burrata instead of fresh mozzarella which we found worked beautifully. Served with marinated tomatoes and a lovely balsamic vinaigrette, this was very refreshing. Now onto mains, I opted in the Prime NY Strip (14oz). This was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The steak itself was tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. For a side, I opted in for the Pommes Aligot (potato purée & alpine cheese) and this accompanied my steak perfectly. I can confidently say that this is one of the best steaks I've ever had from any restaurant. We found our server, Scott to be a pleasure. He was professional, hospitable, and made our experience that much better. Overall, this first experience at Redd Wood easily made it on my personal list of top 5 restaurants in Rochester.

For the price, we were completely underwhelmed For starters, we ordered two different cocktails. The May queen was fabulous the bebbo was tasty, but you couldn't taste any gin in it We started with the Lyonnaise salad , smoked beets, Swedish meatballs, tuna tartare and chicken wings The salad was our favorite, the tuna lacked flavor and we detected no smokiness in the beets. The meatballs were light and the sauce flavorful, would've loved a few more June berries. Chicken wings were nicely spiced and no too saucy For the main we shared 2 steak frites- a bit more well done than the medium rare ordered but tender and tasty, fries are great- bordelaise sauce didn't have the depth of flavor I expected. For dessert we shared the lemon poppyseed cake and chocolate mouse. The cake was light and Lemony with a hint of poppyseed flavor. The mousse was very odd- super pale in color and the crunchy bits on top did not pair well with the texture of the mousse Service was attentive, sometimes a bit too much- reaching across the table to fill waters... maybe leave a bottle on the table? It was a completely male staff... Male servers, male, valets, male bartenders. We did wonder where the women were.

I met a friend I haven't seen in probably nearly 17 years for lunch on a Friday. We never felt rushed or pressured to hurry up. I didn't notice much of a wait but it was nearly always full. A good indication of quality. When you first walk in there's a dessert case and they all looked tasty. I knew I was in a good place. They serve breakfast all the time. Score. I had a Swiss cheese omelet I requested it well done because I don't like it runny or slimy-it still was and that's really why I didn't give a 5. I didn't want to be a pain and send it back so I dealt with it. I ate the whole thing, I just wish it hasnt been undercooked. I got the breakfast potatoes. They are exactly perfect the way I like them, some bits nice and crispy and other bits soft but cooked through. (I'm going to come here again because of the potatoes). I had a grilled hard roll and coffee. They offer flavored creamers which I like. My friend got ham and two eggs but added a third with toast. She liked her food as well. I got two slices of rainbow cake to go. Let me tell you-it was fantastic. My mom and I both liked it a lot except this is going to be oddly specific, the blue and green layers, the frosting on the back of them has something EXTREMELY crunchy in the frosting. It felt like those little hard decoration balls and they were very unpleasant. My mother also commented about something crunchy in the frosting so she didn't care for it either. Another reason I didn't go full 5 on my review. The frosting on the other layers up was fine. It was really tasty. The cake was moist and not dried out. I noticed it was pretty popular. The service was good. It was really busy and we tried to flag our server down a few times and she didn't see me and that's okay we were there for two hours and she had a large section and like I said we weren't exactly campers but we were catching up and we weren't her priority and this is perfectly acceptable. Both my friend and I having been in the food industry for over 20 years completely understood. Our needs were never not met. We had what we needed and didn't have to wait long on refills on drinks ever. We will meet again there since we both had a very positive first time experience.,
