But as I looked for an employee to confirm, one guy came up and said yeah they were but took his time to check and found ONE pair of boots in my size...After he went to confirm with his boss that he found one, he told me he would set me up with the boots, boards, and bindings!!! Second time snowboarding so I still don't have snowboard, boots, or bindings. Stopped by here after checking out their Yelp and I was fairly impressed with this place. Came in and everyone looks very neat. They are super expensive for everything but I guess snowboarding is an expensive sport in general. First they have you enter your information and sign in and then you bring the piece of paper that was printed out to bring it to them guys who will get your board. I really hated the boots. I'm not sure if it's supposed to hurt, like really really hurt. The second I put them on I felt like my feet were going to break. I got the itermediate snowboard becAuse they didn't have the beginner one in my size and it was upgraded for free! Loved that. Next you pay and you keep a tag to return later after you're done snowboarding. Return was super easy just drop off, get your receipt and you're on you r way. Will come here again unless I find some boots that doesn't feel like the end of the world . read more

This place is amazing. You can't beat the prices or service. I haven't skied since 1989, so I was fearful that I was going to be out of my element. The guys put me at ease and hooked me up with everything I needed. They answered all of my questions, didn't try to up-sell me on anything, and double and triple checked that all of my equipment was in tip-top shape. Buy the $2 insurance/slope-side package. Went this past weekend on Saturday 6/12/21. This business gave me a great experience for my time at Big Bear. Jared helped me and my family rent a few electric bikes to tour around the lake with. The electric bikes as well are a great addition to the experience, not much pedaling was required and they go a long ways with plenty of battery. While I will admit getting to the lake is a little scary with the Main Street traffic, Jared made sure to give us detailed directions to avoid the street as much as possible and even insisted on wearing a helmet. No such thing as too much safety! I am very glad he insisted on the helmet wearing as it made the ride to the lake more comfortable with the car traffic. Once you arrive at the lake it's all beautiful scenery and great vibes. Touring around the lake itself lasts roughly 60-70% of the entire bike rental time. I give the experience as a whole a 9/10. read more

Spent the morning in the shop getting fitted with new ski boots by Vaughn. He spent a full 2 hours having me try on and adjusting different boots till we found the best fit. He actually cared about making sure I was satisfied with my purchase before I left. Everyone who came in the shop while I was there was greeted warmly and they have an efficient rental system with top quality gear. Every time I went there my experience was incredible. I first walked in on Saturday and they had a big sign that said reservations only. I asked if there was anything left and they found me an incredible snow board. They were extremely nice. I went back at 5 pm to leave the snowboard and ask if they had skis (I was told before to come Sunday morning for skis). There wasn't a lot of people, so they helped me out so I wouldn't have to come back Sunday morning. They gave me amazing demo skis. Everyone was incredibly nice and I super recommend the place. Shout out to the Swiss guy. I don't remember his name, but he was the best. He even made an effort to make sure my skis and boots matched. read more

Wonderful service and such nice guys! I went up the lift and noticed my feet didn't fit the ski boot rented and there was a clasp that wouldn't stay down... I called and within 10 minutes, Julian was up on the slopes with new gear and fitting it for the ski. My son had no issues with the skis we rented for him and it was all new skis. Got an awesome deal through our Cabin for a ski/snowboard rental. Our daughter is 7 and is very sporty so she wanted to try out snowboarding. We rented a snowboard and everything that goes along with it. It was fast and easy and the people working were super friendly. We decided to hit the slopes before the holidays. We headed to Getboards to get our rentals. We were greeting by a wonderful staff that directed us to where we needed to get our rentals. It was me and my 3 kids and I had to fill out the paperwork. The staff members helped my kids get their rentals and made sure they were all comfortable. It was super helpful!! Everything was really clean and organized in the shop. My favorite part was when we returned out gear, a staff member greeted us outside and got everything checked back in for us. We rented some kayaks this past Saturday and Getboards was great! Rental process was easy and prices are very reasonable. Love the new shop! Its cozy and filled to the guts with Freestyle gear. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bought a pair of Line skis here and Gleb did a flawless job of mounting them up for me! This is THE PLACE to get your rentals! Their equipment is in excellent condition, my daughter's skis & boots were brand new! The snowboards were cool and well taken care of. I was looking to purchase used 2017 demo skis when I just happened to drive by GB. Manager, Vaughyn greeted me at the door. GB has several outlets in Big Bear (from summer activity rentals to winter rentals). Vaughyn hooked me up with a pair of Rossi demo skis, top of the line FT ski boots and a pair of poles, all for under $500 (I figure I would recoup my investment in little over 2 years by going skiing 5 times a year for 2 years). The manager knew his stuff, very knowledgeable, professional all the way, courteous and very patient. I have "triple E" feet. It's not easy to find a pair of boots for my skis. Vaughyn spent over 30 mins. locating the right boots. Same goes for the skis. He even gave my new pair of boots the "HEAT" treatment so my feet molds to the boots for better comfort. This manager was amazing. In short - Great Service, Great Deals! Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. If you ever visit Big Bear Lake and you need winter or summer gears, "GetBoards" is the place. You won't be disappointed with their selections, service, convenience, prices, after service..... I'm bringing my family to GB for all future outdoor activities (rent or purchase). Btw, you can't beat the ski rental prices. So much cheaper than other places. This place is really awesome! They have a whole set up in getting your rental! First off you start to sign in and out in your personal info. Name, height, weight, age, and how well you are (beginning, intermediate, and advance). Then you get fitted for your shoes depending of your a snowboarder or a skier. And after that your get your shoes they get you a board according to your height and weight. And prepare your boarding with in front of you which is really cool. They will ask you if you want a Helmet and I recommend you get it if you are beginner just because when you are actually at the mountain there is a possibility you might get hit or ran over by someone it's just a few more dollars and also if it's really cold it keeps your head warm! Hahah. Dropping off the gear after your done is soo easy. They will give you a card with your info which make it easy for you to return your rentals after the long day of shredding. If you think you are going to lose that card you should take a picture of it just to make it easier for yourself and for them. Shout out to Zoe!!! Sorry for making this yelp review late.
