Years ago, we enjoyed lunch several times on the patio at the Hoffman House. Now Geyersville Grille has refreshed the look of the old Hoffman House. On a rainy March day, the patio was not an option so we found a cozy table near the bar. I was happy to find a half salad option. Spring greens formed the base of my salad with thin pear slices, cranberries, pecans, and a light dressing. I added grilled chicken which was nicely prepared. It appeared to be cooked, then sliced and grilled. That made each bite especially flavorful. After a morning of wine tasting, coffee was my drink of choice. Typical restaurant coffee -- nothing to get excited about, DH enjoyed his french dip. His only complaint was that the fries were a little under cooked. Service was courteous, but a little slow considering there were not many other customers in mid-afternoon. Geyserville Grille is an "okay" option when in the Geyserville area. However, in the future we are apt to try something a bit more interesting. read more

Godawful customer service. We showed up on a Sunday morning when the grill wasn't even that busy. We stood at the hostess's station for 15 minutes without anyone so much as acknowledging our presence. We finally asked a worker walking by what was up and were told extremely rudely that they'd "get to us" when they felt like it. We left after 20 minutes. There are so many wonderful cafes and restaurants in Sonoma there's no reason to patronize this business. You work hard for your money, why give it to people like this? read more

Don't go in here with a large party because they can't handle it. Even with foreknowledge and reservations. Many in our party waited over an hour for food to be delivered and we had to chase down someone to refill our coffee. One of the orders was prepared incorrectly for someone with dietary restrictions and thus couldn't be eaten. When I asked for it to be removed from the bill I got pushback from the server because "she submitted it correctly". It is her responsibility as the server to make sure the food she delivers is what was ordered so didn't appreciate her arguing with me. Also, a 20% gratuity was added to our bill for crappy service, which she didn't deserve. Everything here was overpriced, including the service. read more

Last Sunday we were disappointed in brunch at Geyserville Grille. While the site is homey and server was attentive, the food was quite disappointing. Our food was delivered over 30 minutes after ordering. The soft poached eggs were delivered cooked hard, and all the food including the eggs benedict was room temperature to lukewarm at best. Five of us came here for a late Mother's Day brunch celebration. Unfortunately, we will not be back. The service was okay, but the food was not good. 3/5 of our meals were only like warm, the juevos rancheros was swimming in water, they only had 2% milk for the $4 cup of coffee (even when we asked for cream), and they forgot an add-on to an omelette. With the less than stellar reviews, I did not have high expectations for this place. But my man had booked a last minute getaway at the Geyserville Inn through SFGate, & it included both breakfast here for 2, plus a discounted lunch. I happily took care of all other plans/meals/reservations for the trip. What the heck? It's probably just a continental breakfast, I thought. That would barely constitute a blip on our wine country food itinerary. Surprise, surprise! It included 2 full breakfasts, from anything on the breakfast menu, not to exceed 25 bucks. With the entree average of 10 bucks, that easily covers breakfast & coffee for 2. I say skip the coffee, it's not good. But, admittedly, I'm a coffee snob. The menu choices were impressive. Monte Cristos, chilaquiles, crab cakes, pulled pork sliders...? Not what I expected. With tax, we ended up paying 4 bucks I think; plus the tip. $4 full breakfast for 2? Sweet. We are not morning people. We slept in & didn't get to the restaurant till 11:45 or so. It's now lunch menu time. We asked if we could still order from the breakfast menu. Our server, Tiffany, checked w the kitchen, & they said no problem. She went above & beyond, even inviting us to the Sunday barbecue. She was outstanding. Sweet. The chilaquiles were sold out. So, I went the basic route. Scrambled eggs w chicken apple sausage. The eggs were fine. The chicken apple sausage was very good. But what surprised me were the home fries. I never expect them to be good (my Buena Vista review). Crispy, seasoned...these were great. Sweet. The toast comes with. This is lost on me since I almost never eat toast. I'd rather have a decadent pastry if I'm going to cash in my major carb chips. Or, those fabulous, perfectly cooked home fries. But I ordered sourdough in case my man wanted the toast. He went w the breakfast burrito. It was delicious! Chock full of all the usual breakfast burrito components, including those fab home fries & lots of avocado. Sweet. Next day, our server was equally as great. Jennifer was on-point in every way. I ordered just a crab cake, he ordered the pulled pork sliders. Honestly, all of the ingredients were so fresh! My crab cake was excellent. The arugula it came w was perfect. The sliders rocked. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Service & food were way above par. Both servers were attentive, sincerely friendly, & efficient. They exceeded my expectations, & that's an understatement. What a nice surprise. Wife and I came for our 11th anniversary breakfast after staying at geyserville inn. Staff was friendly and quick. Prices were good. Ordered the eggs Benedict and breakfast bowl. Both really flavorful. Only thing I didn't like was home potatoes they make. They were very hard undercooked. But the rest was amazing. read more

We stopped here on our way out of town. We got there right when they opened so it was very quiet. The place is cute. A few minutes later another couple joined and we were the only ones in there. I didn't feel like the environment was welcoming it just felt very cold and uninviting. We ended up ordering coffee which was very good. I ordered huevos rancheros and let's just say I've had better. My beans were too salty and the tortilla could of been a little more crispy. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and the waffles. The butter was so cold he couldn't spread it on the waffles, and over all he felt like his food was cold. The waitress was doing her morning duties for opening so she really didn't check in much. On a positive note the Bloody Mary had some pickled green beans that were delicious! We will not be back though we felt that our food and experience was definitely not worth over $60. read more

I used to love coming here for the friendly atmosphere and good food but when they fired my favorite employees for no reason, I decided I couldn't in good conscience eat at this establishment anymore! The food is constantly inconsistent and the staff seem constantly stressed due to the lack of employees. Food is definitely not bad and neither is service, however, my partner and I wanted to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor patio seating and unfortunately, when asked, they said that there were no tables available. Visually, we saw 2 empty and cleared tables and another couple next to us told us that they were also waiting for an outdoor patio table. We decided to eat indoors (literally the only people inside), and the food came out in no time! Food was hot and delicious and we were out of the restaurant very quickly. When we left, there was only one party sitting at a table outdoors and the couple waiting were nowhere to be seen. We've lived in Geyserville for 3 years, and have tried this place twice for dinner and once for breakfast. The food is mediocre, at best, but the service is atrocious. The food is too expensive for what you get. The kids that are serving are not trained. The salads came out with the main course with the appetizer appearing shortly after. They tossed the bill on the table never asking if we wanted another drink or dessert. Didn't even check if the food was prepared ok during the meal. The food delivery person had the plates right to their chest with fingers wrapped into the food. We give up! Wish we could support our local business but they don't seem to want our business. read more

What a sweet breakfast/brunch to complement our stay next door to the Geyserville Inn... a bed & breakfast of sorts. I'm not sure if they are connected but it's a great partnership. We had the hotel package of "buy-1 -get-1" so my expectations were tempered. But what a great surprise. And what a sweet and helpful server. She gave us great insights for the local life. Ask for Gahlia. My wife had Eggs Benedict and she loved them. So large she couldn't finish, but she appreciated the think sliced ham and perfectly pouched eggs. I had the chorizo egg burrito... the chorizo was a perfect blend with the eggs, not too spicy. The country house setting (the restaurant in a converted 19th century house) meets Sonoma menu meets wine country. A marriage made in heaven. read more

Very beautiful setting, you look out the windows to mountains on one side and vineyards on the other. Really cool vintage house with hand-scraped wide plank floors and a comfortable, friendly vibe. The wait staff was super nice. This is a fairly high-end place, we went for brunch/lunch and dropped forty bucks, not including the tip,for a burger, french toast, coffee and a Pepsi, all cooked just right. Went here for dinner last night and it was a solid choice. Upon arrival for our 7:00 pm reservation we decided it was a bit too warm for the patio but we will make use of that patio next time as it is a lovely setting. The dining area is spread out around a Bar area and the tables have plenty of room. The menu is kinda eclectic, a few items you don't normally see which makes it interesting. We started with the Summer Green Salad, mixed organic greens, pear, Spanish onion, candied pecan, dried cranberry, blue cheese, apple cider vinaigrette. It was very good and the "small" was a large portion. Also ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup, mild tomato broth with shredded chicken, corn, onion, celery topped with house made tortilla chips, avocado, Cotija cheese and cilantro. Also very good and almost the texture of stew. The entrees were Brick Chicken, Salsa Verde served with farro grains. Huge portion, chicken was tender, juicy and delicious. Also had Pappardelle Al Vino Rosso, red wine marinated pork, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, pappardelle pasta. Another tasty entree in a cream sauce that was light and savory. No dessert, our server Garrett took good care of us and kept our wine chilled from behind the bar. No corkage last night, which made for a larger than normal tip. Ignore any so-so reviews and come for breakfast! Our two dishes were delicious, and came in 15 minutes. We had excellent service throughout our meal from Sharon, Vanessa and Madi. This grille was suggested since we stayed at the Geyserville Inn next door. We went there for an early breakfast before heading out to wineries for the day. The place is absolutely adorable, located instead a Victorian style outside. The tables are spacious and it is beautifully decorated. I had an omelet and it was large and delicious.
