What an awful experience. The server seemed friendly enough at first, communicating the specials and taking our drink and food order. There were 4 of us, including two children. We ordered 3 burgers, no cheese, 1 BLT, 2 cokes, and a draft beer that the server recommended. Everything went downhill from there. She went behind the bar and served other customers their drinks (maybe 4 tables were occupied in the entire restaurant), walked by our table a few times, and completely forgot about our drinks. Our food arrived about 25 minutes later, the BLT looking fine but the burgers were slathered in a sauce that was not mentioned at all in the menu description. We aren't fans of sauces/dressings and sent the burgers back based on lack of mention of the sauce (seriously, the menu said "cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle on a brioche bun"). The server reluctantly took back the food and requested new burgers sans sauce. After a while, new burgers came slathered in sauce. She took them back. After another while new burgers came-this time the sauce had been scraped off the bun. As I said, the restaurant was barely occupied, there were plenty of staff. We never received our drinks and the three burger orders were not eaten. She said she would remove the burgers from our tab. About 15 minutes later she was nowhere in sight and all we wanted to do was go home and cook something for the hungry kiddos. So, one star for the BLT, but service was poor, menu lacked mention of the sauce, and kitchen screwed up 3 burgers 3 times. read more

The breakfast food was delicious. Get the crab benedicts and omelette. The chicken tortilla soup was good, but it was just lukewarm. I was too hungry to complain. Had an early Mother's Day brunch and the food and service were outstanding!! Evan was a very attentive waiter.

First of all, the COVID update needs updating. They are currently open for patio and indoor dining. We had been very impressed with the Grille on a previous dinner outing and were excited to try it for Sunday brunch when we found ourselves nearby. I think the food was probably fresh and good quality, but unfortunately the breakfasts were barely lukewarm by the time we got them. The server initially brought one dish (likely mine) to a neighboring table, who told her it was the wrong entree. The server took it back to the kitchen, and about 10 minutes later brought it, along with my husband's breakfast, to our table. We had to flag someone else down twice for coffee refills, since our server had disappeared. At the end of the meal the server offered my husband jam to go with his toast -- she didn't even notice that there was no toast left on his plate! Patrons who had a different server seemed to get pretty efficient service, so I don't think it was a problem with the kitchen. It's hard to know exactly how to rate this experience. The food is actually pretty good -- but if it isn't hot, why bother? The service was lacking in the extreme, which would make me think twice before going back. read more

I had breakfast mid-week here when I stayed next door at the Geyserville Inn. Sweet place with outdoor seating and a fountain. The coffee was great. I had pancakes, eggs and crisp bacon and everything was perfect. Especially notable was that I requested really crisp bacon and they managed it PERFECTLY. Every single centimeter of the lovely strips of bacon was crisp, without a single burnt piece. How did they do that?! When dipped them in the syrup for the pancakes, I died. This place is amazing! So amazing I am speechless which is rare for me! My husband and I had just finished riding 70 miles in prep for Ironman Santa Rosa 70.3. We were starving! As we rode by we saw this place and thought we should come back and check it out when our ride was done. Best decision ever! I had the Chilaquiles and my husband had the Monte Carlo. I swear my husband talked about how good the Monte Carlo was during our entire ride home. We also had the calamari which had to be the best calamari we have ever had! Breakfast review only. Geyserville Inn does not serve breakfast; the Grille restaurant, formerly Hoffman's, is open for B/L all week, and limited D hours Wed-Mon. Very large restaurant, lots of ground for waitstaff to cover. Gahlia, my server, is mentioned favorably in many posts. She is an excellent waitress with a perfect sense of timing, a true professional. The Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich was fluffy and properly cooked - the well-soaked bread was gently browned, not deep-fried or killed by too-high heat in sauteing. It was good, but next time I'd just get eggs and the pan-fried potatoes, which were amazing. It's so rare a short-order cook will make flawless pan-fried potatoes, and Geyserville Grille pulled it off. Diced to the proper medium-small sized cubes, well browned and greaseless, with that fluffy Idaho interior. Tasty little shreds of caramelized, crisped shallots - yes, shallots, not onions - and a few small dice of red bell pepper, also properly cooked. It made me wish I'd ordered a couple of eggs instead, fried sunnyside up! read more

Beef dip for lunch was good, even though my au jus got spilled on the sando before I got it. Girlfriend had a salad with Salmon and a plastic shard. Was not taken off the bill or comped or anything. She decided to write about it on the comment card. The waitress brought the card back and confronted her about how it was "the rudest thing anyone has said" to her. Pretty awkward even after generous tips. Bottomless mimosas were good, we got toasty, but you'll need 4 hours to get 6 refills. They gave my girlfriend a voucher for breakfast so we're about to try that. I've always said if you're in the service industry it is your job to deal with people who sometimes may not treat you the way you want to be. I went here with my wife for St. Valentine's Day. The dinner was a fixed price meal which was not indicated on the Open Table site. The dinner was quite good. We found the steak salty, but other thank that all was good. Our waitress was fine, but after visit five to check if things were good, it started getting old, but she always had a smile. We ordered wine by the glass and got a good pour in a large wine glass. We will go again and have something from the regular menu. read more

One of the best dining experiences my family has had in many years! The food was delicious and the service was A++. A special thanks to the new evening manager Jennifer for her honest, warm approach. Visited the Grille today for lunch, very disappointing to say the least. My wife ordered the fish and chips, they weren't cooked thoroughly as there was raw dough under the fried outer part of the fish. The fries were also inedible, they didn't taste like potatoes, they tasted like every other food that is fried in their kitchen, they should change their oil. The only thing edible on the plate was the slaw. This isn't the first time we were disappointed with this restaurant but we thought we would give it one more try. Never again! read more

We are here again for my bday breakfast and told them we are in a rush, we have two kids. Headed to Geyserville Grille for lunch yesterday and won't be back. The service was EXTREMELY slow despite only 4 tables were full and a few outside. We finished two rounds of drinks before our food came out. We ordered simple dishes; a burger for me that I asked for medium and it was completely raw when I cut through it, my Husband got the BLT and it was mehhhh and our Daughter the french toast. They both brought theirs home to finish and ended up throwing them away. We had to ask for our bill two times. I should of known that an empty restaurant in Geyserville on a Sunday is a bad sign. It's a shame though, the building is beautiful, the outside deck and patio would be a lot of fun with friends. A $100 for a so so lunch does not make me happy. read more

I want to like this place so badly because the food is good most of the time but it is run so poorly. Our takeout order is often wrong, they rarely answer their phone, they don't apologize when the order is wrong and then the rest of the food is cold by the time they re-make the new food. And to top it off, today we placed an online order to be picked up at 5:15. We got our confirmation, money was taken out of our account, and then after driving 20 mins to get there (and arriving right at 5:15) we discovered the doors are closed with a sign saying, "closed for a private event". No one answers the doors, looks dark, no one answers the phone, etc. So now we will have to call tomorrow to complain and hope they answer. read more

Thoroughly disappointed! After coming here for several years and enjoying our meals and the service, we were very unhappy today! The food was not up to what it normally is. Our server, Vanessa, definitely had an attitude that I could not call good service or even friendly. She made us feel pressured to order drinks before all parties where present. We waited quite a long time for our food. We were seated on the side of the restaurant where it was extremely warm, and we kept having to move the table to get away from the sun. Our server took my granddaughter's order wrong, and insisted on bringing it out again, after she was told it was no longer wanted. By the time the second order was out, my granddaughter had filled up on French fries, and so the dish was basically left uneaten. My husband didn't get his English muffins until after he had finished eating his eggs, and when we asked the waitress ---she indicated they were just not ready yet. Without even an apology! In general, we did not feel comfortable, we did not enjoy out food and on top of it all our waitress, Vanessa, automatically included a 20% gratuity. There were four of us and a child. Our understanding is that adding the gratuity automatically is only done for large tables. When we enquired with her, she told us that in California that is always done this way. Which, of course, we knew well it is not the case. So, not to argue, we felt obligated to give her a 20% gratuity in spite of the poor service we received from her! We were celebrating Father's Day and both of the fathers' on the table were unhappy with the food, the service and the bill. Great father's day meal! We came for a Sunday morning breakfast and spent over 1.5 hours waiting for our food.. the server came out ONCE to ask if we needed anything. After one person said something he ran off without asking anyone else and did not come back until food was served.. we were very polite and when inside twice asking if we could have some service for drinks at the least and no one ever came. We had very high hopes for this and were let down.. not to mention the two young hostess that were spilling all of their work drama while cleaning the table next to us. read more

I like the food here, I do, but the service is consistently poor, but for one server who is absolutely lovely. I called in a pick up order for a bowl of soup. They said it'd be 15 minutes, which is a little much for soup, but whatever. I arrive and it seems like everything is ready so I pay and get halfway to my car and look in my bag and notice it's a cup size. So I go back in and ask if I had correctly requested a bowl of soup and she looks in the bag and says yes that's a bowl. (I have posted an image for reference.) I gave opportunity to correct the situation and was told it was correct as is. I'm sorry to say this may be my last visit there. We ate outside today and it was just a beautiful day for that. This was our first time here and my sister and I both ordered the Prawn Salad--which was pretty good, except that it contained Mango, which was rather rock-like. They should have left it out of the salad if their supply was not ripe--it ruined the salad. That said, my partner ordered fish and chips and we "chipped" in and helped eat his!!! The fish and chips were just great!!! We will try again and order something else. Service was excellent. read more

Extremely disappointed. Stood at hostess desk for 10 minutes. 3 employees saw us standing there and totally ignored us. We also rang the bell and still no one acknowledged us. It was an hour before closing so that shouldn't have been an issue. Even if they were busy, which as far as I can see, they weren't, they could have said we will be with you shortly. This place is great! The food was good, very friendly staff, and very kid friendly restaurant. We stayed at the Geyserville Inn with my 2.5 year old toddler and 7 month old baby, we decided to go in town and eat. We drove to Geyserville and all the restaurants had wait time, they also looked a bit fancy to take a toddler and baby in for dinner. So we decided to drive back and get food at Geyserville Grille. We got the vegetable risotto with chicken, tortilla soup, garden salad, and butter pasta for my toddler. The risotto was so good! I was very surprised, probably one of the best risottos I've had, it was very juicy and flavor-full with fresh veggies. The soup was Ok (3 star), and the salad was great. My toddler loved the risotto too, I think next time I just order normal food for him. For families with little ones this is a perfect spot, we sat outside, there is a water fountain and a nice garden so my toddler kept himself busy while eating, waiting and walking around. Baby also enjoyed looking at what's going on and, we didn't feel bad making a mess, since eating outside :D! read more

Great spot to catch breakfast or lunch while in the wine country, i.e., Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Rockpile and Russian River Valley AVA's. Since there isn't another place that specializes in Breakfast and Lunch near Geyserville, this place is very popular with the locals. We tried it for both meals and the selection was good. The service was done well. The food was fresh and yummy. Chicken Tortilla Soup was really great. Eggs Benedict were fabulous. Strongly recommend Geyserville Grille when you are in the neighborhood. read more

This place used to be great. Recently went out to dinner here with my family to celebrate my birthday. Our server Megan was rude and if it wasn't for the good company, would have ruined the night. She brought us the wrong bottle of wine and didn't present it or offer a taste. Just poured and walked away. Rushed us through the meal. Complained about the cooling system behind the bar being broken. Didn't check back after our entrees where served. Finally asked a busser for another glass of wine. When Megan made it back around to the table for us to order she told us the bar was closed. Had to wait thirsty in the parking lot for our uber. Though my family is from out of town, I am local to Sonoma county. It was embarrasing to have recommended this place after the way we were treated. read more

I came for breakfast on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago in November, and was so grateful it was warm enough to sit on the patio- only in Sonoma county! My server was Zack, and I had the Eggs Benedict, which was heavenly! It was so relaxing to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and take in all the beautiful scenery with vineyards and gorgeous fall colors. Zack was very attentive, not too much so, but I definitely felt like the service was very good. It used to be the Hoffman House, and the service and quality of the dishes is still top-notch. My girlfriend and I were staying at the Geyserville Inn last Saturday night. On Sunday morning, we decided to get breakfast next door at the Geyserville Grille. The restaurant has a pretty unusual design. Instead of being tucked away in the back of the restaurant, the kitchen doors are smack in the middle of the dining area. We were seated close to the kitchen door so we saw a constant stream of servers popping in and out of the kitchen. It doesn't seem wise to have the kitchen so close to the customers. We could see a ton of people milling about and very little food leaving the kitchen. After being seated, we waited quite a while for our food. During that time, we realized that there was a side door to an outside patio next to our table. This door would swing open on its own accord and sometimes due to employees going outside to take a break. When the door opened, a cold draft would flood over our table. It was very unpleasant and we had to ask a server to lock the door for us. Geyserville Grille really needs to fix this problem. The restaurant is not designed well, and they should change the configuration of their tables. We eventually received our food. My girlfriend ordered the American breakfast which had chicken apple sausage, two eggs, toast, and potatoes. While this dish is pretty simple, there were a few parts that didn't work. The sausage was sandpaper dry and bland. The potatoes were also bland and seemed to exist solely to fill up the plate. I had the breakfast burrito.This was actually really great though. The chorizo was flavorful and the salsa had a bit of a kick to it. I liked that the burrito contained sour cream and guacamole as well. If you are going to eat at the Geyserville Grille, I would definitely recommend this dish. Overall though, we didn't really enjoy breakfast here. The service was not great, and parts of our dishes were not cooked correctly. read more
