Last month we decided this was the year we were finally going to have our flooring done. The last time it was ever remodeled was in the 80s. Our house is a pretty modest looking house built in 1949. Our living room floor was basically what you would see on ballroom floors or event banquet halls. Our kitchen and bathroom tiles had already been worn out and cracked. So we decided to go with Floorscapes LA. We visited their office/showroom and we were pleased to see the wide variety of flooring samples to choose from. They had everything from laminate, vinyl, traditional wood and engineered wood flooring. We spoke to Albert and David and they were extremely helpful in helping us choose the right flooring for our home. We were able to borrow some floor samples to see how they would look like at home. Albert came over to our house and took some measurements of the areas that were to have the new flooring installed. An estimate was drafted in detail, itemized completely and with total cost. The price was right for us, give or take that we knew that we may have had to pay extra in case they were to find any unforeseen damage underneath the old flooring. Everything that was to be done was explained in detail and all our questions and concerns were addressed before they started the job. My husband and I are completely satisfied with the excellent job that Floorscapes LA has done. Our floors look awesome. Albert, David, Henry and the entire crew were very professional and I am still surprised at how fast, yet completely thorough the job was completed. They had 5 crew members work on our flooring. Our living room, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and 1/4 bathroom were all completed in one workday. I work 12 hours and I can't believe they were done in less time than my entire shift. Well, our house is quite small compared to more modern houses, but again we were quite impressed. We highly recommend Floorscapes LA. Thank you again for a job well done.

My mom and I went to five or six flooring stores to compare prices and Albert's was the one she choose because he seemed the most honest. Well, it turns out her gut was right. Albert and Jaime did an excellent job replacing the floors in my new place. When I mentioned that the floor did not seem entirely level once I walked on it with bare feet (which was very, very likely due to my foundation), he sent the guys back and redid it so I was 100% happy with them. And he didn't try and stiff me with a vastly increased bill for essentially double the labor since they had to do it twice. In short, would highly recommend.

Elit Tile's return policy is meaningless if they can simply invent new restrictions after taking…read moreyour money. My experience with Elit Tile began with them failing to deliver the order I paid for. I purchased 8 pieces of tile, but their vendor only shipped 6 pieces. I had to discover their mistake myself. Had I not counted the order, I would have left with an incomplete purchase. Later, they actually tried to use the cost of correcting their own shipping mistake as a reason to deny my return. After bringing the completed order home, I realized the tile did not match my existing flooring. I immediately contacted Joy Lee and requested a return while the tile was completely unused. Here's the problem: at no point before my purchase did Joy Lee tell me that returns supposedly depended on vendor approval or that orders under four boxes could not be returned. That alleged restriction was never disclosed in the store and does not appear anywhere in my sales paperwork. Only after I requested a return did Joy Lee suddenly claim that the vendor would not approve it because the order was under four boxes. That completely defeats the purpose of having a return policy. If customers are never told about these restrictions until after they pay, then they don't have the information necessary to make an informed purchasing decision. Instead of standing behind what was represented at the time of sale, Elit Tile relied on an undisclosed vendor policy that was never communicated beforehand and refused to accept responsibility. My tile was unused, my return request was made promptly, and yet I was simply told the matter was "closed." If you're considering purchasing from Elit Tile, ask for every return restriction in writing before you hand over your credit card. Otherwise, you may discover after the sale that the return policy you thought you had doesn't actually apply.

It seemed like they were the only ones opened. It was right before Labor Day. Well, this store was not only opened, but had a great selection of in stock tiles which is what we needed. We got 400 ft.² of oak looking tile flooring. They had exactly what we were looking for at a closeout price. Our tile installer was able to pick it up the following business day. Andy gave us great customer service. We will be purchasing more tiles for other projects.

I'm installing Junkers flooring in my home gym. Junkers recommended…read more The Great Carpet Company to do the install, stating they have done it many times and do a great job. From the first day of the install, I could tell things weren't being done properly. They did not remove the old base boards before beginning to lay the floor, they also did not check the level of the existing floor before they began to lay the Junkers flooring down. This resulted in the Junkers floor not being cut properly to fit, with the old flooring being uneven with big sloops in it and the base boards not being cut / fitting properly or being installed properly. The floor needed to be leveled prior to any Junkers flooring being installed. This did not happen. Shant, knew my concerns and expectations. He insisted the floor was installed properly. I reached out to Junkers since they recommended The Great Carpet Company. Junkers then sent out a 3rd party inspector as well as one of their own team members to inspect. Both determined the flooring was not installed properly and needed to be redone. The work done be The Great Carpet Company was determined to be of poor quality with uneven wood pieces, poor craftsmanship of the cutting and install of the base boards and sloppy work on the finishings. I also have to order more flooring from Junkers in order to have another company reinstall the floor properly since The Great Carpet Company damaged / improperly cut so much of the wood floor from the first order. The cost is over $1600 for 137 sq ft of wood/delivery to complete the job. This job was originally suppose to take no longer than 7 days, that was almost 2 months ago. The job is still not complete since we needed to hire a new reputable company to reinstall and complete this job. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with quality of work and the lack of accountability / follow through for proper resolution from The Great Carpet Company. Several photos are available to confirm this review and a complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau.

We needed to replace the carpet in my house recently…read more We went around to a couple different flooring places and ultimately decided to order vinyl flooring from LA Floor Covering after speaking with Alex. He was very helpful and spent a lot of time explaining our options between vinyl, laminate, and carpet. His showroom had plenty of samples on hand as well. Prices were higher than what we were hoping to pay, but as Alex explained to us, the price of vinyl is rising due to increased shipping costs. We already had a contractor who doing other work on the house, so we didn't go through LA Floor Covering for installation. Later on, we needed to order an extra stair casing and Alex was very quick in getting that additional order in. It was a pleasure working with Alex for our flooring needs!
