This used to be my wife's go to neighborhood bar. I've only been there with her so my service may have been great due to her. We recently met old friend there, it was like we had just been there a little while ago. The bartenders and servers are typically very busy. I typically sit at the bar, the only downside is the bar TVs are small. In the main seating area, there are large screen TVs. We've watched colts games there, it had a family/friends vibe. The floors are essentially bare cement, it's very casual. There are pool tables in the back part, there are 4-6 tables. Drinks and food are very reasonable. I see pull tabs bought frequently. It's bar food. Good potions and so far good taste. My wife loves the wings and breadsticks. They serve breakfast on the weekends. read more

Ok. I really used to love this place. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen last night but the tenderloin I ordered were not fit for a dog to eat! I first ordered one breaded since they described them as a top pick. It was so thin, dry and tough I could barely chew it. So server promised they would make me a much better one and suggested getting it grilled. I ordered it to go since we couldn't stay any longer and waited another 20 minutes (thinking how long does it take to cook a tenderloin????). I should've looked at it before leaving...would've gotten my $10.95 back. Cannot believe they sent them out looking like this! They used to make fabulous tenderloins! What happened???? I met up with some friends to watch the Colts game at GG's, and was very impressed with the ambiance of the grill. This is definitely a hole in the wall restaurant with large screen TVS all over the place. You can watch every football game here if you like. They have poker tables in the back if you feel the urge to play poker. The service is exceptional and top notch! Our waitress was on top of our group and made sure we were well taken care of. The food is Ok, but not five star worthy. I ordered the Cajun chicken salad, and it took a little longer to get the salad than I had anticipated. The salad was Ok, but was not the best salad I have ever had. The chicken was not seasoned well enough to make it Cajun spicy. If I am ordering a Cajun chicken salad, I expect it to be spicy and have a kick to it. If I come back here, I will be getting something else. Other than that, GG'S is a cool place to hang out and watch the Colts game. The beer selection is decent from what I can see, and they have other stuff going on to keep them busy. This is a good hole in the wall restaurant to visit, and depending on what you order, you are sure to get a good meal and excellent customer service. I would come back to GG'S again with my friends to watch the Colts game, because it is the only grill that has direct TV that can get the Colts game. Had the best $16 filet. It comes with 2 sides and Texas toast. You can sub sides as you want. The beer it cheap which is a plus. We had 2 steak meals and 8 beers for $60. The atmosphere is like a dive bar. They had pull tabs, plenty of TVs, pool tables, darts, and music machine. Service was great and plenty of parking! read more

We decided to give this place a try since we have a groupon gift... and were we in for a treat! The amount of items on menu is enough at great price. The wings were piping hot and crunchy with plenty of Thai chili sauce dripped over for dipping. I was most surprised at how tasty the steak on my salad was for its price; the chopped iceberg salad itself was ok. My husband got their breakfast steak and eggs and he cleaned the plate. Btw, they're currently open during construction; the inside is clean and staff was attentive once we were served. We came on a weekend lunch, and all the guests were sitting by the bar and no server in sight; could be understaffed.. Overall, great food great prices, just sit yourself and you'll eventually get good service. We will come back. read more

I used to be a regular, would go 2-3 a week. The servers were awesome and felt like friends. A server/bartender that said she used to work there for years, moved away, and came back served me and she was one of the rudest people I've ever met. I let it slide that day, but went again and was treated the same way. I haven't been back since. It's disappointing, but no one wants to be treated poorly especially when they are spending their money at a place they once loved. The staff is amazing, drinks are more than reasonably priced, everything on the menu is delicious, 3 pool tables, darts and video games in the back seperated so you can play without people walking through your game. Wednesday night they have the best steak special in town! $6.95 for the top sirloin, $7.95 for the Ribeye and $8.95 for the filet. All steaks are hand cut in house, perfectly seasoned and always cooked to perfection! The pretzels and homemade beer cheese are a perfect starter! They also have some if the best breakfast anywhere! Dive bar with bad food. Showed up here for a1070 The Fan event. Walked in and felt out of place. It felt like there should be a bunch of bikers hanging out in here. The tables were all wobbly, it smelled like cigarettes and cheap hookers, and the lighting during the day gave me a headache. Glad I had a bottled beer because I am not sure I would trust the cleanliness of any glasses here. Really was going to find a hidden gem close to my house, not the case. For those that might like these types of places, the food is cheap, but you get what you pay for. They also have pool tables in the back. My wife and I recently stopped in to try and win Colt's tickets from the local radio station. We are from the west side so we don't get over that way often. The bar was pretty packed and we were unable to get seats at a table or a booth. I can't comment on the crowd on a normal night, but I assume it isn't usually as bad. We did find seating in the back around the pool tables as they have a small ledge with stools lining the wall. There are a lot of TV's around the seating area so if you are there to watch a game, you won't have any problem. The set up is a little odd as the bar is completely off to one side away from the dining area and the pool tables. There was also a little stage area right in front by the door. They had a band scheduled to play at 8:30 that night once all the tickets were given away. My wife and I both ordered food. I had the Tochos and she had a reuben. The tochos were AMAZING. They were basically loaded nachos with chili except instead of chips they were tator tots. It was listed as an appetizer and would have easily fed two people. My wife enjoyed her reuben and fries, except she complained that the bread was pretty soggy. The drinks were pretty cheap, I had a 32 oz beer for $4. I will say I was disappointed that they were advertising $3 budlights that came in a Colt's cup, but was informed that they didn't have any yet. There were big posters advertising this all over the bar. As someone else said, they didn't seem to want to honor this. Our wait staff was friendly, however, and checked on us often even with the big crowd. With that being said, I would definitely check this place out more if we lived on that side of town. If we are ever over that way I would stop in again. read more

a somewhat strange layout...after walking past the smokers and into the bar, you immediately enter a larger multipurpose area with no direct site of the bar. if you turn to the right, the bar is set off the main room in a narrow rectangle. the bar itself is in the shape of a backwards "J" with 15 or so stools. mirrors around the lower portion of the "J". the other room has lower eating tables & booths. pool tables towards the back (south) wall. as with most other neighborhood bars, guessing most everyone in the place has been there before, they're very comfortable. mostly middle aged with a couple older & younger mixed in. aside from those at the bar, there seems to be a lot of movement, maybe it's people back & forth to the bar, familiarity, or the games in the back. rock music over the speakers, but it's a juke box, so it changes to the desires of the other patrons. food is mostly average. strong drinks. steel pipe for a footrest. wooden/laminate bar with a good, large wooden rail that is a perfect place to rest elbows. bar overhang has cabinets for the bartenders and provides some cover. mirrors & beer posters behind the hook in the "J", but otherwise the bar back is shelves with liquor bottles and a single, somewhat outdated TV. Metal padded stool with no back support, many wobbly. Floors are a worn, red painted concrete. in the end, a decent place to grab a beer if in the area, but not a destination. read more

We love GGs! The drinks are cheap. We like the bar better since it's more recent remodel. It can be VERY smoky. Karaoke is fun, but sometimes you might want to bring ear plugs because it can be really loud (compared to other bars). Our favorite thing here, besides that awesome drink deals is the pizza. The thin crust is awesome and always fresh. I've ordered other things off the menu and really like it, but the pizza is honestly the best. I give the pizza 6/5 stars :) read more

Working in the service industry, I never see myself complaining but when we get bad service multiple times, come on. The waitress spent most of our time there either on her phone or outside smoking. Used to be good until new "regulars" were allowed to start bar fights and those defending themselves get kicked out. Too much trash, drugs and brawls allowed to continue here. People openly smoke pot on front side walk and patio and staff doesn't care. For someone who doesn't use drugs it can be bothersome to try and enjoy the patio while getting pot smoke in your face. Other then that the food is by far the best pub grub in town...maybe because they are stoners lol idk. But seriously best food around and it's not a bad bar when it's chill and the older regulars are around. My issue is the newish guys that come in and get angry drunk and pick fights with people. Hopefully management will fix it but doubtful... Just wanted to update this review months later. I was harassed by an employee "nicole" on a mutual friends picture where she said this review didn't hurt them and maybe my husband shouldn't be confrontational when drinking. How unprofessional. The issues here lies way deeper then my husband defending himself after asking management for help with a patron trying to fight him... all people who fight in this bar are allowed to continue coming back. I reached out to management a few times but they did nothing to stop this group of guys from harassing me and my friends. How about instead of blaming the decent customers who leave bad reviews they just improve the clientele? And stop letting losers back in just because they are friends with the manager. Never had a problem with another bar because they throw out the trash and don't allow open drug use. A pleasant enough bar with $2 draft beer. Pool tables in the back and an odd shaped bar but actually allows for an intimate feel with whomever you are with. The music was a little loud for my taste and a little tough for conversation, but the bartender turned it down a little at our request and an acknowledgement that it was a tad loud. Service was good...very friendly & prompt. My cousin's food was better than mine. She had the bread sticks & a salad. I ordered the "traditional" club...NOT traditional AT ALL. First of all, they serve it on French bread. There is a picture of a traditional club on the menu, misleading. It is not. I asked for regular bread, the way it's supposed to be & they made it on 2 2 pieces of Texas toast instead of 3 pieces of white toast. The meat was piled in the center. The bacon was obviously deep fried. Gross. And they forgot the tomato. Just not good. I won't get it again. They need always on on what a real club sandwich should be! read more

I am shocked to read a review saying the food is mediocre. The food is actually GREAT! Not what you'd expect from a "hole in the wall" kinda bar. The pizza could battle with an actual pizzeria restaurant. The chicken tender meal is better than homemade. It's impossible to find a better soft pretzel with beer cheese. Seriously! I've ordered them for take out. Breaded mushrooms are amazing! And a massive portion! Wicked shrimp is so very good, (although it has been changed from nice high quality shrimp to popcorn shrimp, which I refuse to eat). My husband often orders a steak dinner and loves it. And we ALWAYS have food to take home. $4 for a 32 oz draft beer. I drink 2 my husband drinks 3-4 Killian drafts and our total including dinner is always right around $25! AND this review is coming from an extremely picky woman! No joke certifiably OCD. It feels clean and I love the staff. read more

today was the last draw with this place. We phone ordered phone so that it would not be placed in to go containers to avoid soggy food. When we arrived our drink order was taken and maybe 10 mins later our food was brought to us in to go containers soggy and cold. I asked for new fries because the food was cold. The bartender/manager NICOLE yelled across the room it is not my fault your food is cold you can have new fries but you will pay for them. I politely said nevermind. Fast forward. She calls and leave a rude threatening message on my POE vm staying she hopes I don't plan on ever coming back there because I didn't leave a tip on my card. I am confused because she clearly saw me with $15 cash I gave cash to pay part of the bill and paid my other parties bill on my card. What kind of business calls someone off a phone number I did not authorize her to call me on and leave me a threatening message as if I was the only person sitting at the table. She is always rude and even so I still leave her a tip. She didn't first of all deserve a tip as she didnt check on us she didn't refill our drinks, she didn't come as if we needed anything. She did nothing but hand us our food in to go containers and never came back period. I am wondering if I did decide to visit again what was she going to do?? attack me, poison me or what?
