First time in the area and omg town is so cute! It was a sizzler of a day so really wanted some cold noodles! Was greeted warmly and sat at the bar. The menu was a little confusing but my waitress explained everything to me nicely. I was looking through photos on yelp and pointed to a seared scallop dish that was on older menu but the chef was kind enough to make it for me! I ordered a few nigiri, skewered pork belly and the cold noodles. Omg the sushi and nigiri were perfect! No fishy smells and textures was lovely! The pork belly threw me off a bit? It was deep fried in panko batter but still good! Then cold noodle with the sides was honestly my favorite so refreshing and just perfect! Usually it's too sour for me but I love how balanced it is! I hope to stop by this town again

Overall okay-good! The service was friendly but could've been more attentive with picking up trash on our table (e.g., chopsticks paper), refilling water, and seeing when we wanted to receive the check. It also would've been nice to be told in advance of what was unavailable on the menu before going through 4+ items and finally choosing dishes to eat. Short rib steak was extremely tender but leaned on the sweeter side. The truffle potato pancake was well-liked! Perfect for someone craving a fried food and cheese. We enjoyed the bibim mukguksu because it was balanced and refreshing. Would come back to try the original dishes we wanted next time.

We came here 30 minutes after it opened on Sunday for lunch and was informed that they're sold out of the short rib steak. This was terrible news as that's what we came to the restaurant for. Since we're already here, we decided to order the bossam and rose tottebokki. The banchons here kinda sucked to be honest and they didn't give us much table space. They had to Tetris pretty hard when our food arrived. The bossam and rose tottebokki was pretty good but I don't think it quite justifies the price. We asked our waitress and she suggested that we call ahead of time if we want to try to short rib steak since it's not always in stock and there's a 20 minutes prep time. Overall, it's a pretty average Korean restaurant and not really worth the drive if you live in Austin.

Everything was top quality and delicious! We ordered seaweed salad, specialty eel roll (forgot the name), seottok seottok, galbi jjim, and pork stew. Everything was super flavorful. My favorite was the pork stew that packed a peppery punch that was so addicting. There are so many more dishes on the menu that I'm looking forward to trying! Only room for improvement might be the banchan which were pretty basic/forgettable, but hey I'm not one to complain on the free sides!

Really enjoyed our experience here on a Saturday night. We waited about 10mins to sit at the bar. We came for the beef rib soup and will return for it. It's a simple light broth with clear noodles. The menu is pretty extensive so we will be back to try more. Table next to use ordered the tteokbokki and pretty large portions. I was full just looking at it. They have sushi bar top seating and regular seating. No outdoor seating.

So since the last review--they've changed their menu a bit and added sushi. I haven't had a chance to try those options yet because that short rib has a chokehold on me. But I want to because they look good every time I see a plate walk past. I love that this place is always filled with folks who are enjoying the food and the company. It's always really homey here. Their banchan still slaps. Their kimchi is so good and I feel like I go through so many new refills. Soups: I will say I love their soups and always have to order one. Their pork bone soup and beef rib soups are sooooo good. They are easily shareable for 3-4 people.

This place is probably one of my favorite Korean spots. Totally worth the 30 minute drive from downtown Austin. They serve up authentic Korean cuisine that's hard to hard here. Everything is huge portions so family style is a must. I recommend going with more than one other person - otherwise you might end up like us - over ordering beyond our table size.

Ghama zone was great! the service was okay. i stopped by for lunch and got a Chirashi bowl. it had a lot of thoughtful touches, like seasoned rice with a layer of imitation crab and tobiko, and each fish was such high quality with its own seasoning on top. it was definitely the best chirashi bowl ive had so far. the space was really clean and open, which definitely added to my experience. i would definitely come again.

Fusion but yummy. Parked in the back for free. Located in the beautiful historic round rock downtown. The food were all great! Celebrated my friend's birthday who's family to me! We came without reservation but it was right when they opened at 5pm for dinner. Our server was nice. They give military discount! We loved everything we ordered! The only thing is they don't have crafted drinks I think. But we still overall enjoyed celebrating in Ghama!!!

Absolutely yes. I'll tell everyone I know to go here. It's so good and I can't wait to go back for the food. I saw an Instagram ad and once I saw the Sake Don, I was hooked. Mouth drool My husband and I took our baby with us (during the day) and I found that they were polite about it. Other kids and young babies were there too, so I'd say it's kid friendly, during the day! It is a small space and I feel like it can echo if depending on where you sit. The restaurant is split from a sushi bar and a table section. Next date night without the kiddo, I'm for sure going back! The servers were nice. They didn't really explain anything about the restaurant or food options. In my opinion it's always nice when you're given a break down but I did already review the menu before going in, so I wasn't at a complete loss. The sushi and fish items I ordered were extremely fresh. You really can't go wrong with this place. I liked the Korean food options they had and it felt like there were quite a few things to choose from. Parking: free parking located in the garage right a crossed the street.

Been here a few times and finally getting around to writing a review/ it's located in downtown round rock and there's street parking or a parking garage nearby. The restaurant isn't super big but never had an issue getting seated pretty quickly. Came in for lunch on a Tuesday to order the short ribs and wow, it was delicious. It's a little pricey but a good portion to share! We ordered a few sushi rolls as that's a newer addition to the menu and they were good, but I prefer sushi elsewhere. Service has always been super slow whenever we come so if you're in a rush, something to be mindful of.

Located in downtown Round Rock - Ghama Zone is a fun place to fill your Korean Food needs. My husband and I came on a Sunday for lunch and were seated immediately. There were alot of servers training, so it looks like they are focusing on service. The ambiance is modern with a few tables and bar seats. As you wait for your food, there is 4 different kinds of banchan to snack on. All were very tasty. I loved the tofu pockets! We had the bulgogi and shrimp on. Highly recommend ordering a bunch to try - I preferred tofu over seaweed. My husband and I also shared the Ghama Hansang with Bulgogi. It's pricey, but I loved trying a bunch of different items! I wished I could have switched out the raw food, because I was pregnant. My husband said it was salty. Overall a great spot for lunch and dinner.

    Ellie N.

The tofu wraps are only available for lunch. Dinner time is more of a sushi restaurant, though they still have many Korean main dishes. I love both dishes we got. Bibimpap is not served in a stone bowl, but it's still good. Free refill for side dishes

She eats sushi, but she doesn't eat too much raw fish yet, so I told her she had to "cheers" with me every bite while I was teaching her how to eat and enjoy different kinds of sushi. Then the tables turned because SHE had to teach ME how to eat the soba noodles since it was my first time trying them. She goes, "Mom, it's in anime!" LOL. Apparently she knew exactly what she was doing. All of the workers were really nice, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant was SUPER busy, and since it was our first time there, we didn't mind waiting. And honestly, it was definitely worth the wait! My daughter especially loved the ambiance. She made me take a bunch of pictures of her with the "aesthetic"x It was nice and quiet, and the seating had enough space that you weren't hearing the entire conversation from the group next to you. I do wish the restaurant was a little bigger, but hey... maybe in due time because they definitely deserve it! They also surprised us with a complimentary Pepper Fin -- yellowtail topped with jalapeño, greens, and sauce -- and OMG, it was SO GOOD! Such a nice surprise and definitely one of the highlights of our meal. Overall, great food, great service, great atmosphere, and most importantly, such a cute little mother-daughter memory for us. When I finally did, I discovered one of the best Japanese restaurants in Austin. Okay ... if you are going to pay $600 for an omikase then the omikase place is better. The tasting menu at Uchi is better. But if you just want Japanese without paying a gold brick and taking out a second mortgage on your house, Miyo Yakitori and Sushi is pretty damm fine. * * * a) Japanese curry is a utility dish in most Japanese restaurants ... and when you get down to it, in most Japanese homes. It is often what you serve on "cheap" night. Airport hotels offer it as the "free dinner" for tired travellers. The curry sauce itself here is standard issue. But they serve it with a Pork Katsu the size of Williamson county. And it is a very good Pork Katsu. That Katsu was good from Liberty Hill to Thrall and from Hester's Crossing to Jarrell. b) My carnivorous partner's Fireball Udon with Shellfish blew him away. Temperature wise and aesthetic pleasure wise. He raved about how good his udon was all the way home. c) Service was instantaneous. I think there was some sort of event horizon distortion of the space time continuum that allowed them to prepare the food and then go back in time and deliver it within a minute of it being ordered. Both of us were impressed. d) The service staff was as nice as any human beings could possibly be. * * * Great food. Great service. The folks who live in the apartment complex that Miyo is in are very lucky people indeed. Either the apartments are lovely and they get Miyo on top of that. Or the apartments are terrible, but they can still spend all their time in Miyo to compensate. Seems like a fair trade. **************** If you read the other reviews, There seems to be some controversy about this establishment. Miyo has fans and Miyo has haters. * * * Here is my read on the conflicting opinions: a) Earlier in the restaurant's history - Say about 2016, 17, or 18, The restaurant was not very good at all. I think at that time it had another name. b) There was a name change and quality went up. Sometimes when this happens there is an ownership change (or there is an owner who swaps out the management and cooking team to put in new blood.) However, things got fixed, they got fixed. c) Miyo's yakitori is apparently still not where it needs to be. I am not a huge Yakitori fan. If your broiled meat on a stick is not $80 an ounce Wagyu, Or amazing organ meats grilled in the Caucasus Barded with lamb fat and with farm fresh vegetables On another skewer for serious taste contrast ... If you are not at that high level, I don't want to pay for meat on a skewer. There are people who DO like Yakitori. They do NOT like the Miyo versions of that. * * * Yakitori is less than 20% of Miyo's menu. The rest is sushi or wonderful cooked dishes. Lay off the skewer food and you can do well here.

If you're sitting in the dining area, they won't honor the same promotion, even though it's the exact same restaurant and the appetizer is normally $9. I've been allowed to order the $5 appetizer from the dining area before, so being told tonight that it was suddenly not allowed--and having an argument with the waiter over it--was extremely frustrating. What makes this even more ridiculous is that we regularly come here and spend around $200 for four people. We've been repeat customers, and you would think there would be some common sense and consideration when dealing with a regular customer over a $4 appetizer. I understand having different promotions for different areas, but this feels like a silly, unnecessarily rigid policy, especially when the distinction isn't particularly clear. The $4 difference isn't the issue--it's the principle and how the situation was handled. Unfortunately, over this experience and the way it was handled, we will not be coming back. Losing regular customers who routinely spend $200+ over a $4 appetizer seems like a pretty poor business decision.
