The food is delicious and the service is great. They are so friendly. They will go out of their way to help you.

Legit the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Ordered a Sicilian pie and a round pie and a dozen knots. The knots were bone dry and undercooked. The Sicilian pie had almost no sauce. I would say no sauce but that's not entirely accurate, but as close to none as you could possibly get and the cheese layer was extremely thin so it was like eating dry bread. The round pie, while slightly better, also suffered from a lack of sauce and cheese. At the prices they charge I absolutely will not be trying them again. I always stop in this Pizza place when I visit Medford. My best friends family owned this place back in the 70's & 80's when it was called Poppy's Pizza. The menu has changed and the current owner has added a ton of other food options since it was Poppy's. I went in today and ordered a vegan Calzone, no cheese or meat.... Just sauce & veggies. Wow, it was awesome and I ate the entire thing for lunch. I prefer to support local businesses, every time I visit Medford, I have to come here. Two Thumbs up! read more

FYI: Prices listed on menu here are actually $1 more now. (I compared to actual menu). Stopped in unplanned because it was nearby, and GLAD that I did! Being from the mid-west & hearing how NY pizza is SO great, & I don't really agree, I've tried many pizzerias. Gianna's is definitely in my top 3! Ordered several items on the catering menu for my daughter's graduation party. Everyone involved at Gianna's could not have been more pleasant or helpful! The pizza & garlic knots are very delicious but the guy was so rude when I called in to pickup. & when I came in he literally looked at me & grabbed the spoon to put sauce on another pizza & he even put the cheese on & THEN asked what I needed & I told him & he grabbed my stuff & put it down & I saw a brisk wasn't in the fridge & I said that I wanted it & he rolled his eyes & shrugged at me & said "ohhk" with an attitude. & then as he took my card he started working on another pizza & I was like I don't even know this guy but he literally had a problem & i just want everyone to know that if you're having a bad day get over it because customers don't care and shouldn't have to care about your problems. Bottom 5 pizzas of all time. Normally I walk into a pizza place and just by seeing one slice, I either run away or decide to try it... Ignoring my instincts and giving in to my lack of motivation to keep going down even further to Tonys, we ordered and took a seat. The first words out of my mouth as he put the slices into the oven were "this pizza's gnna suck." -when I tell you that I've had food in jamaica, not knowing if it was cow or goat, THAT was better than this... I seriously think Gianna owes me 8 bux.. Not only that but, an apology.. A sincere apology. The only thing I will accept in it's place is if they closed for good and Gianna changed her name. I'm kind of a pizza snob, so I'm always looking for a great slice. I popped in here to check them out. I opted for a garlic knot slice and was unimpressed. The dough and knots were undercooked and there was not nearly enough sauce. The service was very friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere, as it felt like I was in someone's home kitchen, but I do not think I'll go back there. read more

Every time we order from Gianna's the food is either undercooked or very lackluster, the pizzas are so undercooked they almost look white and to make matters worse the heroes have very little meat and a ton of lettuce. We have complained to the owner before and she assured me it wouldent happen again, so we ordered again and the same thing happened! There are better spots to order from then this read more

My husband and I have actually never been to their restaurant, but we order takeout once per week from there and it is SO GOOD. We mostly order different dinners, he gets chicken francese and I get one of their egg plant dishes. We love it, and have recently tried their pizza too- also excellent. We used to order delivery from them but stopped because of rude phone service and the fact they couldn't communicate instructions to the driver properly. There are two streets with the same name in Patchogue and we live on one of them and no matter what we would tell them on the phone the driver would always end up at the wrong one. The buffalo wing pizza is great. Tons of chicken from chicken wings and nice amount of bleu cheese. We still call in a take out order for them when we get the craving. Gianna's has been our pizza spot since we moved to Medford in '03 and considering our old spots in Holbrook were Joe's and Mama Lombardi's we were pretty spoiled. The couple that owns this place are professionals so if anyone really ever had a problem they'd be the first to fix it. read more

This is my favorite pizza spot on 112. Cheese, sauce, and dough are all solid. My only complaint is with the garlic knot slice; the crust is always underdone with usually raw dough in the middle. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for that. read more

If I could, I would give them ZERO stars! The guy who works there is so rude and disrespectful! I used to come here for pizza and soup (not that much because the guy was always there and rude majority of the time- pizza isn't really great.. Undercooked) but I've recently transitioned into a vegan. It was going to help me lose weight and help my health which is why I transitioned. I called on the phone asking if the place had anything vegan there and he only told me vegetables. I asked something else because these people don't know anything about stuff that can be vegan BESIDES vegetables. I asked if his pizza crust was vegan and he said yes. After that I asked if he could make custom pizza pies but he kept repeatedly saying "THE CRUST IS MY OWN, I MAKE IT MYSELF" when I asked him something else.... And he was screaming and his tone was really bitchy/disrespectful when he said that. After that I just hanged up the phone due to his rude behavior and ignorance. I do not recommend this place... Their pizza isn't great, it's uncooked! And the boss who I was talking about was rude!! Don't go here and I know that Medford is a shitty area and there's people like this but honestly Medford needs to get their shit together. Living here is the worst part but I'm moving out of here soon! read more
