This place never disappoints! It's our favorite dining place. The food is always delicious. Went here last evening for my birthday.

The starter combo of black fig, prosciutto, and goat cheese with balsamic drizzle was fantastic, but when isn't it? Getting all those things on the same bite is magnificent. Compliments to the tableside fish carver for filleting with sprezzatura and compliments to the chef for such an excellent branzino dish. The sauce complimented the fish and was a perfect match as it leaked onto the asparagus and potaoes. Wife's dessert: black cherry ice cream and a cappuccino. My dessert: The amaro flight sounded interesting, but I was boring and went for a Dow 20 tawny just because it sounded really good. Thanks Natalie for properly pacing a 2 hour dinner. Excellence all the way around.

Oh Lancaster how you surprise me still... Seeing how Lancaster is very in-land, I was skeptical about any seafood Lancaster had to offer. Boy... do I get proven wrong every time I think Lancaster is bad at something. The Italian style seafood and restaurant; I didn't think much of it but this place quickly after just one night became a "if anyone visits, we goin here" spot. All the appetizers and entree was fantastic. The menu is small and quaint which I love cause it tells you what the restaurant is good at. All the food that came was super delicious. Buttery, savory, sweet, all the taste buds were hit. This place is a very good combination of casual and formal so whatever the occasions, it fits. The service was fast and attentive. Our guy always came over to check and was good about everything; A service. I'm going back and if you're in the area and craving Italian style seafood, this place is yet another Lancaster gem

Food was fresh and tasted great, we sat outside because there was a half an hour long wait for indoor and for the most part service was good considering we were away from the main party so we expected to be forgotten. Fresh food, good nice staff, beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend octopus , oyster with lamb , shrimp app, salmon was yummy and duck fat fries !

We came in for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. This whole experience was just disappointing, we were so looking forward to a special evening out. We usually go to the Log Cabin for our anniversary but we decided to try somewhere new and saw this place had overall great reviews. Unfortunately we did not have that same experience. The ambiance is a more intimate setting but no one was very friendly I just didn't get a genuine hello, goodbye, thanks for joining us from anyone. We started with the Frito Misto and raw oysters. The oysters were good but the Frito Misto was served without the sauces, we had to keep searching for someone to catch their eye to get the sauces it was supposed to have. Even with the sauces it was very clumped together and lacked any flavor. Server didn't come over to us at all during the appetizers or when we were done our empty plates sat for a while until someone else cleared them. Once the entrees came out she did stop once I asked for a gingerale because I was not a fan of the mocktail I had ordered. I got the lobster fettuccine which I did really enjoy besides the fact there was shell still on one of the pieces of lobster. My husband got the filet which I was planning on having some but it was so charboiled on the outside it just tasted like the grill. Really felt by doing such a hard charbroil on it ruined it and was not appetizing. We both didn't finish our meals and waited for the server to stop again. At this point when I had no drink now, not even a water refill the entire night, she then dropped of the gingerale which we were ready to get our meals boxed and leave. We also noticed every other table around us had been given bread on their table. We were not. Overall we just felt like we were given the bare minimal service and not acknowledge at all when trying to celebrate a special evening. We don't get date nights together that often and to have one so disappointing was really unfortunate.

Martini flight. My favorite was the peanut butter!

Went there last night to celebrate our anniversary. Food was delicious and so was the martini flight. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Don't know why we don't come here more often!

Excellent food, excellent service. Made us feel very welcome and special. We are not accustomed to "fine dining", but we're very comfortable. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful in my decision making. :)

While I filled up with plenty of food, most of it was pretty mediocre, some was even weak. There were only a couple of things on the buffet I thought were very good. The buffet came with ice cream, which was the real highlight. My dad & I have similar ice cream tastes, and we both got peppermint ice cream, a good seasonal choice. Server was nice too and brought my dad & I the peppermint ice cream. So, this was a mixed bag of good & not so good.

We were wonderfully greeted and the hostess spent the perfect amount of time chatting with us after seating us at an intimate table inside. I was glad I had perused the menu beforehand, so I wasn't shocked at the prices. However, as mentioned, it was a celebratory dinner. I had picked the duck (more on that later), but may have switched to a steak had it not been for the $$$. We ordered the following appetizers/starters: tuna carpaccio, house salad, bone marrow and house selection of bread. All of these were the highlights of the meal! The tuna was thinly sliced, great flavor with the cucumber and the perfect amount of 'dressing'. The house salad was also delicious - wonderful combination of flavors. I was worried about the strawberry dressing (served on the side), but was the perfect balance of sweet and vinegar. The bone marrow was also delicious- we should have gotten one each as we were both scraping the bone for every last morsel. The bread deserves its own paragraph. I will preface by saying I have tried to be gluten free for the past eight months and not eaten any bread. I melted into my seat with every bite of bread. There was a selection of pretzel bread, my first choice. Eaten with a small amount of butter, I thought, thank goodness I tried this first, it will be easy to say no to the other bread. Wrong. The focaccia with herbed olive oil was even better! Had the same thought again - well, at least I will be able to pass on the other slices. Nope. The sliced bread was even better. Although i could hear my mother scoffing at having to pay for bread, this was worth it. Unfortunately, this is where my enthusiasm wanes. My husband ordered the salmon and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite and also thought it was a good dish. I ordered the duck. The duck was cooked to my order (medium rare) and flavors were very good. Unfortunately, the mocha rub was more of a crust (encasement?), not a huge deal, but the duck itself was not tender and took a lot of chewing. Other Notes: The atmosphere was fantastic! The wine selection was excellent and provided a nice variety of prices per glass. Service was excellent. For dessert, I had a macchiato and the tiramisu; it was ok. I should have ordered one of the housemade desserts, but wanted something smaller. My husband ordered the cheesecake and wolfed it down (a good sign after such a large meal). Since we are from out of town and it was a one of a kind celebration, I can't say we will be back, but if money were not an issue, I would really enjoy coming here again and trying a different entree

I'd never return. Not a pleasant experience.

When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. We went to celebrate an anniversary (not ours) and it was a nice welcome for the server to offer the celebrants complimentary prosecco. From there, it was an adventure. Three of us had the shrimp and grits, which, uniquely, were not the typical southern dish but an earthy creation featuring very barley forward grits that also included very chunky carrots and other enhancements I am at a loss to identify. Good, but a surprise for my southern shrimp and grits-expecting palate. The shrimp were pretty overcooked and detracted from the barley-enhanced grits. Two enjoyed the wedge salad. For mains, two enjoyed the shrimp bisque, and the pan fried boneless chicken breast. I had the meatloaf and found it to be a bit gamier than expected likely due to using grass fed beef. The mushroom gravy was nice despite some of the mushrooms having gone over the rainbow bridge. The tallow fried potatoes were luscious despite one being undercooked. The desserts were interesting and all supposedly made in-house. I had the mint chocolate chip ice cream which I found somewhat grainy and crystallized and very lacking in mint flavor. The flourless chocolate cake will likely shock you with its petiteness, but trust me, it packs a wallop of richness that will probably satisfy you. The tres leches cake and honey lavender crème brûlée got high marks. Overall we all liked the ambiance, and were somewhat disappointed with the food. 3.5* rounded down to 3*.
