What a cute barbecue spot. We rolled into town late at night. There was nobody in the parking lot so we were afraid that it was closed. However, it was still open for another 45 minutes. We got the pound of brisket with their chili and a slice of cornbread. The pound of brisket comes with three barbecue sauces and was delicious as was the chili. Misty was so helpful. We were asking her all kinds of questions about sites and canyons around the area and she gave us a whole rundown of different places to visit And different times to go as well as a really cool breakfast spot nearby. Highly recommend this place for their barbecue and friendly service!

We got takeout from this place since it was right across the street from our hotel. The ribs were the best, fall off the bone and tender. I highly recommend getting the ribs. The prices are also very fair for the food given. The Mac and cheese was okay ... the meat was better.

Was craving bbq and this wasn't far from my hotel. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese to go! My sandwich was LOADED with pulled pork! It was juicy and delicious. I used their original bbq sauce and bashed it in my hotel. The Mac and cheese I'd skip on. It was dry and not very flavorful. Can't win them all!

Really good brisket and sides delicious! Will be back next time we are in Kanab. Service was excellent as well!

Came in for the night and were told to go here to watch game one of the World Series... wasn't sure what to expect... and it blew us out of the water! Fall off the bone ribs, tender brisket, amazing pulled pork salad... and that Mac n cheese and baked beans... Did NOT disappoint If you are a Steelers fan this is the place to go!

We tried the pulled pork, Dutch potatoes and signature bbq sauce. It was fast and tasty,

This place was great! As you walk through the Gift Shop you are quickly pointed to the Left through a small souvenir room to Giff's BBQ... Fast and Friendly Service. Food was spot on, inexpensive and satisfying. Had the Brisket & Peppered Ribs come with Cornbread and 1 side, I chose the Lloyd's Damn Chili. Brisket was lean AND moist. The Ribs beer tender, fell off the bone and very well flavored. They had a Signature sauce and a Spicy BBQ sauce. Both were great, though I preferred the Spicy which was not spicy (more like the Hot/Spicy Taco Bell sauce level). Definitely recommend on your way through Kanab.

Great food, great people. The meat was BBQ'd just right, and best part is that everything was moist.

Genuinely some of the best barbecue I have ever had in my life. If you are in Kanab and don't stop at Giff's you are doing something wrong.

You remember those old Reese's Peanut Butter Cup commercials?…read more "Hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" "No, you got your peanut butter in my chocolate!" That's basically what happened here, except instead of chocolate and peanut butter, it was an art gallery and a gastropub. Somehow it works. The vibe here is funky in mostly the right ways. The decor has a yard sale chic aesthetic that's somehow carefully curated without looking like it tried too hard. The staff had just enough piercings and tattoos for me know they would love to talk to me about their record collections if I asked, and the whole place manages to feel both laid back and just upscale enough that you can justify ordering anything from a burger to what looked like a pretty respectable ribeye. I went with the Shroom, a portobello mushroom burger, and it was enjoyable. Tons of flavor, perfectly satisfying, and paired with one of the crispest side salads I've had in a while. Bonus points for the edamame. I will happily eat edamame in just about anything. Not with jello though. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, although we collectively demonstrated the adventurous spirit of a group that mostly ordered the Pub burger. So I can't claim we've fully explored the menu yet. This just gives me an excuse to come back. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The only moment that caught me a little off guard was when the owner stopped by to let us know he had baseball cards for sale in one part of the restaurant, along with an upstairs gallery featuring local artwork. I felt like he might next open his coat to show me some watches. He's just down for the hustle I guess. The art ranged from "that's pretty nice" to "someone really, really loves painting Utah's red rocks." Most of it was priced well beyond what I was looking to take home, but honestly, I have to respect that they're giving local artists a place to showcase their work. So maybe I'm just being a little grumpy. Get off my lawn. By the way I'd be happy to eat here again

A delightful encounter in Kanab, the small town along the way on our road trip to Salt Lake City. A…read morewonderful meal. Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

It says it outside." I immediately looked around because it doesn't have any description of what they serve outside. I was truly appalled and upset by the customer service here. I've worked a job or two and I know how to complain about a customer, and you just don't do it when they're still within earshot. If their employees learn nothing else from this review, I hope that they learn how be rude and uncouth quietly. The lack of professionalism from these two young women will be the reason I do not return to this establishment. The disrespect was not worth my coins.

The restaurant was packed, so I was thrilled to try the food. As soon as I tasted the salsa, I couldn't help but tell my husband that this place was legit. I opted for the combo plate, featuring two enchiladas, one with chicken and green sauce, and the other with ground beef and red sauce, alongside a chile relleno. When I took my first few bites, I was transported back to the kitchen of an old Mexican friend. She used to make chile relleno and enchiladas that were an exact replica of Escobar's. The flavors were so authentic that I couldn't believe it! The overall experience was not only about the food but also the warm and friendly atmosphere. Dahlia, our waitress, the owner, the servers, and the woman at the checkout counter all exuded kindness and hospitality. We stopped because the outdoor patio was full even though it was only 4pm. Our motto is, if the parking lot/patio is full, the food must be good. It proved true at Escobar's. The rice and beans were also delicious and the prices are also very good. Although they serve bottled beer we settled for soda since we had a long drive ahead of us. Because the patio was full we ate inside. The dining room is bright and pleasant. Walls are filled with Mexican art. Service was quick and pleasant. This is definitely a great choice for Mexican food in Kanab, UT.
