The staff had just enough piercings and tattoos for me know they would love to talk to me about their record collections if I asked, and the whole place manages to feel both laid back and just upscale enough that you can justify ordering anything from a burger to what looked like a pretty respectable ribeye. I went with the Shroom, a portobello mushroom burger, and it was enjoyable. Tons of flavor, perfectly satisfying, and paired with one of the crispest side salads I've had in a while. Bonus points for the edamame. I will happily eat edamame in just about anything. Not with jello though. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, although we collectively demonstrated the adventurous spirit of a group that mostly ordered the Pub burger. So I can't claim we've fully explored the menu yet. This just gives me an excuse to come back. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The only moment that caught me a little off guard was when the owner stopped by to let us know he had baseball cards for sale in one part of the restaurant, along with an upstairs gallery featuring local artwork.
