Gigi's Cafe is worth the hype! We visited for lunch on a Thursday and found it pretty busy. There was no wait to order on the electronic kiosk, but I would order ahead next time, just to speed up the process. The interior was tiny - basically just the kiosk and counter, no seating. However, there was plenty of (dog-friendly) outdoor seating out in front. I chose the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread, and my friend got the Sriracha Hot Sandwich. The food did take a while to come out, but it was well worth the wait. Both sandwiches were top notch! The chicken cutlets had the perfect thickness and the Dutch Crunch was fantastic. I also got a refreshing Arnold Palmer to wash it down. Will happily return to try more of their menu!
We picked up a few sandwiches and ate outside on the patio. It is located in a very nondescript area, but a lot of people came by on foot or car, so you could tell it was a hidden gem. I was very impressed with my sandwich, the bread was fresh, crisp and perfectly toasted. The turkey was really flavorful and great ratio of toppings and sauce. My dad got a chicken sandwich and also loved it.
Still a great spot if you're traveling to the airport or just happen to be south of the city. If you come on Saturday there is no bathroom, but I love adding pesto to their burritos and they do not skimp on the cheese and avocado. Still a burrito for 2 or 3 in my opinion, but it kept me full the majority of the day.
I was in NorCal for a business trip and was looking for a quick lunch option. We found this sandwich place, not thinking or expecting much, but wow did it blow us away. We've been in a sandwich phase lately, and this definitely hit our top 3. You walk into the store, and there are a few iPads to order on. They'll text you when your order is ready. We ordered 2 sandwiches for 3 people (which ended up being plenty). We got the tech bro and the chicken churri. We got there right before the weekday lunch rush, which was great timing for us. My husband loved the tech bro, but the friend and I thought the chicken churri was more unique. All in all, 3 very satisfied tummies. Prices of sandwiches were reasonable given the size. We'll be back next time we're in NorCal!
For some context, my experience to Gigi's was on a cold, windy Saturday. Gigi's is located in an office building and I imagine this is a much different experience on a sunny day or during the work week. It's nestled in Burlingame my a lovely trail around the bay and hotels in walking distance. I was meeting my friend and happy to see there was ample parking. To my surprise as you walk in you are immediately welcomed with a tall partition and a couple of kiosks. There were no employees visible and no indoor seating... and it was chilly. Here are some general notes: * mostly a breakfast burrito and sandwich spot. *affordable and generous servings *the breakfast burrito with bacon and a hash brown. Very small and sparse pieces of bacon and additional hash brown was also lacking. Overall tasty and huge portion and I like how they grill the tortilla. *no restrooms on Saturdays, we had to sneak into the restroom in the hotel next door *Staff at cafe was kind and may have been the only one working when he handed me my burrito Additional thoughts: I'm sure this is amazing spot on a sunny and warm day to sit on the patio or stroll and eat your burrito. In our case it was chilly and we contemplated eating in our cars. If you do come on a cool day m, wear extra layers. This is really best as online pick up or if you're working in the building when there are restrooms available during the work week.
Came here on a weekend and split a sandwich with my friend. They have self service kiosks to order at. Good sized sandwich, they have a good amount of options to choose from. Love the outdoor seating area they have. We walked off our lunch along the water after we ate. Highly recommend!
It's sad that Gigi's is starting to lack in service as of recently. This is the second time that I have ordered sandwiches with avocado and the sandwiches ended up not having it. Thankfully after the first time, I made it a habit to check the sandwiches for avocados and for a while they did a great job. They forgot avocados on all three of my sandwiches today. This is disappointing because I come here a few times a month from SF just for their sandwiches. Update: I appreciate Gigi reaching out. I do truly love this spot and am willing to chance on no avocados again to try this place again.
BEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER EATEN. I am someone who thinks sandwiches are usually something to rave about but these are something to tell your friends about. The service is amazing and the staff are so nice. The cafe is quaint and a little hard to find but the best spot around! My husband got a vegetarian sandwich and was going on and on about how fresh all the veggies were on his sandwich. I got the tuna melt and mine was so delicious and warm. Highly recommend visiting!
Was craving a sandwich so I stopped by Gigi's Cafe after seeing her place pop up on my FYP on social media. Gigi's Cafe is located at the end of the street on Anza by Embassy suites. There's plenty of parking and an outdoor seating area if you want to have your lunch there. Gigi's Cafe is a women-owned establishment serving deli sandwiches, homemade pastries and drinks. When you walk in, it's a pretty small place with three ordering screens. The area where your food and drinks are prepared is closed off. I ordered the Chicken-Churri sandwich which had breaded chicken, arugula, provolone cheese, tomatoes, thin sliced red onions, mayo and a chimichurri sauce. And an everything but the kitchen sink cookie. The sandwich was a decent size and so well neatly prepared and packaged. Very impressive. The breaded chicken was cooked nicely and not dry at all. The chimichurri sauce reminded me like a lighter version of pesto but in a good way. The flavors blended well together and the sandwich was so filling. The everything but the kitchen sink cookie was good. It was soft and not overly sweet. What I also really appreciate about this place is the amount of love and care that goes into everything they do. You can truly feel it in the atmosphere. One detail that especially stood out to me, and makes me want to keep coming back, is an option on the ordering kiosk called "Gigi's Lunches with Love." It's reserved for people who may not know when their next meal will be. With everything going on in the world, it's refreshing to see a place that leads with kindness and compassion. It's a very touching and heartwarming gesture. Definitely go and support this place. There's so many good options to choose from. Truly a hidden gem.
Came here before and I'm glad to see that it is still popular! Their sandwiches are simple, yet special at the same time. While their specialty sandwiches are out of this world, I opted to make my own sandwich. I got cold turkey sandwich with lettuce, onion, light mayo, cucumber. While it seems light, it was pretty delicious! No thrills, just a basic sandwich and they perfected it! The turkey is light and not dry at all. It was still moist even hours later. Sometimes people do too much mayo and I asked for light mayo and they did it just right. The sandwich was a great size! I didn't feel stuffed afterwards. The sandwich was made to go and it was packaged well! Definitely try this place out if you haven't already.
The sandwiches are made to order - so there's a short wait time. They have soo many options to choose from! The hot gurl sandwich was amazing - crunchy chicken, saucy salad, fresh veggies and a good ole Dutch crunch. Note that there's no indoor seating, so if the weather is not to your liking, it would be best to take it home.
Outdoor seating only! That's okay though because you get a really nice view overlooking the water while you eat. Huge portions for every item. They're supposed to be known for their sandwiches but my favorite was the rise and shine breakfast burrito which had hash browns, bacon, and egg. There's a great chipotle sauce in the burrito. I also really liked my mango coconut pineapple smoothie. The sandwich for me was solid but nothing too special!

Wonderful salads, sandwiches and bakery. We came on Saturday and had the Buffalo Chicken and Turkey Avocado Smash sandwiches, plus a cookie. Both sandwiches were huge, and screaming good. Their bakery goods are also fantastic. The cookies are massive and massively tasty. On a Saturday they still seem to have plenty of business. It's good that they cater because it's located in an office building, so if you come here expecting great ambience.....eh, well, not so much. I mean, they provide outdoor dining tables but the view is of other buildings. It is what it is. Probably 90% of their business is take out and catering anyway. 5 stars! read more
I stopped in on a quick lunch while staying at the Embassy across the street. I had an all-day virtual training with an hour for lunch, and Gigi's was perfect! Tuna melt, chips, drink - yum!! The sandwich was HUGE - and delicious. When we're back in the area, I would definitely stop in again. Super convenient!!! And, if you're up for a walk, you're right by the Bay Trail. Four (instead of five) stars only because it was definitely a pricey lunch for one. I would definitely have done a "half sandwich" option had that been a choice - hope I didn't miss that! read more

After reading all the reviews and press, I finally got the chance. The cafe is located in an office complex across from the Embassy Suites. There is a small sign on the right. Ordering is done in a kiosk outside. Tap your credit card and pick up window is on the other side of the cafe. All the sandwiches looked great. I liked the name so I ordered the Knuckle sandwich. ($15.50 with the Diet Coke.) Yes, I only could finish half and was full. Outdoors seating is available. (Patio seating is in the parking lot) If you're in the area, I recommend it. I didn't see Gigi but look forward to trying their other sandwiches. read more
The sandwiches are massive and worth the prices. The flavors do not disappoint, the Rich B*tch was amazing and just packed with filling. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich is only good once ordered, tried having the other half later and was very soggy and had an after taste. They have outdoor seating available and wouldn't recommend going during peak lunch times as it's located in an office building and employees trickle down fast to grab their lunch. Service was self serve on the kiosk they have near their serving window. I would recommend this to someone who is in the mood for a great sammy in the Peninsula, comparing to Little Lucas they have competition here. read more

I first discovered Gigi's Cafe thru a yelp event! So glad I did because it's quite nearby and I love the environment around it. It's a great place to get cafe food and then spend the day walking around the nearby lagoon and Bay Trail! It's really overall lovely. It's attached to a business so I imagine on weekdays the office workers are really lucky to have a cafe so close! On my most recent visit we tried their pesto breakfast burrito which is my fav thing so far. It's packed with chicken, pesto, and egg. Soooo good! If there's one thing this place does really well is they pack so much into each dish! The croissant sandwhiches especially! A half could probably last me a long while. Their sandwhiches are really good too. We also tried the buffalo chicken sandwhich and it has a nice spice to it. Not too hot but definitely has an enjoyable zing to it. The cookies were ok! They were quite big which was nice. I liked them better after microwaving them a bit! read more

Awesome food and friendly employees. The sandwiches are delicious. I think pre-2020 they used to have a bigger menu with more cooked meals which were super tasty (the clam chowder w/ bacon was amazing rip), hope one day they make a return but regardless the food is still good!! It's located with a bunch of office buildings by a hotel. Pretty quiet area with a nice lagoon to walk around. They have great big sandwiches made with care. Sometimes it's a bit hard to eat as it's very full, so the ingredients slide a bit, but workable. I like the turkey avocado smash sandwich. Classic taste. Great intersection. They have really yummy cookies too!! I'd recommend getting some. I like their salted caramel crunch cookie. They're all good, but I liked this one a bit more for the sweet and salty. For me it tasted better with each bite. It was intriguing. A bit of a rollercoaster of flavor. Fun balance of taste. Good texture. read more

First time trying gigis cafe through door dash and they did not disappoint ! So yummy flavor and quality is fully present. We ordered a breakfast sandwich choice of bread we chose was croissant, with bacon 10/10 and breakfast burrito was All meat with no ham we requested, 8/10 perfect portion but was missing salsa (in my opinion based on my tastebuds ) we also got a Guava Lemonade & Housemade Lemonade both drinks 9/10 Gigi's cafe is a must visit, AMAZING PRICES, Beautiful Quality, and wholesome vibes. they even gave us two cute heart shaped cookies for free thank you !! I've finally found a rival to my favorite, Little Lucca's. Gigi's does sandwiches the right way with mouthwatering flavor and big bites. The place itself is quaint and minimal seating but it is realistic for a sandwich shop because most people order to go. The staff is also friendly and makes the experience much more enjoyable. I got the knuckle sandwich and that first bite left me speechless (probably cause my mouth was full of pastrami). I need to go back for it again but the dilemma is that I want to try other sandwiches too! Is it better than Little Lucca's? I'd say no but by the slimmest of margins. Slimmer than their cuts of pastrami. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for one of the best sandwiches in the bay. read more

Great value in a lovely setting. Gigi's is a breakfast/lunch spot hidden in the rear of an office building across from Embassy Suites. I've lived less than 5 miles away for 35 years and just discovered this spot. Years ago, I ate at a very upscale Chinese restaurant on the top floor, but never knew there was a cafe on the lobby level. I had a hot pastrami sandwich on a French roll. It was large and satisfying. I was full eating only one-half of the sandwich. It's nice to find a locally owned business with really pleasant staff, easy parking right outside, and a lovely waterside setting! read more

Gigi's Cafe makes Some DELICIOUS sandwiches. It's a Hidden Gem!! I love really Good Deli sandwiches and Gigi's made the cut ! I ordered the Cold Cut Trio and my husband ordered the TechBro. Lettuce was nice and crisp and the bread roll was perfect ! You can only order sandwiches to go but the Deli is on the Floor ground of a commercial building , I went there on a Saturday and was able to sit outside and eat my sandwich since there are tables and chairs. read more

Located in an office building right by the water, Gigi's serves up a delicious breakfast sandwich. We got ours with sausage on a buttery croissant with a side of spring mix. Portion was decent for breakfast and we loved the scrambled egg with spinach. There's plenty of outdoor patio seating, but we opted to have our meal by the water where we enjoyed plane spotting as the various air crafts landed at sfo. Parking is pretty convenient at the back of the office building. Makes for a great pit stop if you're ever in the area/ close to SFO! read more

Came by on a weekday in the later morning. Saw two kiosk screens you can order from, there was also a note that salads weren't available that day. I browsed their online menu beforehand so I knew what I wanted to get. I entered my phone number and it texted me my receipt. Ordered Tech Bro Fish 4 heat Turkey Avocado Smash Side of egg salad I sat down while I waited for my order. Got the order and headed home. The sandwiches looked good, stuffed with protein. This is the highly rated sandwich shop (?) that have been on my radar for about a year. It is one of those markets in an office building. I tried the Sams sandwich and it was really really good. The bread was crunch and tasty and meat was abundant. It does cost more than the Subway but you definitely get your money worth. Gonna come try other sandwiches in the future! read more

I'm totally late to the party. Gigi's is a short drive, and I've heard of Gigi's Cafe for about a year, and I've only gotten a chance to try Teresa's creations last month. Forgive me! We first stopped by the booth at the Sunday's Farmer's Market in early February. Was instantly greeted by the owner, who was so sweet. She saw my little guy and handed him this small finger toy. And when he dropped his toy car, I told him he couldn't use it until we cleaned it, and she jumped in saying she had sanitizing wipes. Anyways, onto her delicious sweet treats. Her booth was decked out with custard filled donuts, brownies, blondies, and cookies galore. I bought one banana caramel custard donut, one pink champagne donut, and one Oreo red velvet cookie. I devoured the goodies later that morning. The pink champagne was strong, so if you love your bubbles you'll love this one. We both really enjoyed the banana caramel custard which wasn't overly sweet and had the perfect balance of both flavors. Her red velvet and Oreo cookie is out of this world though. I'm really hoping that she'll put this permanently on her cafe's menu. A few weeks later we finally ordered sandwiches from her cafe for pick up. Husband had the turkey avocado smash while I went messy with chicken teriyaki sandwich. He enjoyed the simplicity of the turkey avocado smash. My sandwich was very saucey so it was a 5-6 napkin job but I enjoyed the loads of sizable moist chicken teriyaki pieces and the Dutch crunch was great (it's always my go to bread). Definitely a major upgrade from Subways chicken teriyaki sandwich. The sandwiches are huge too and all for under $11! I will continue to enjoy Gigi's Cafe treats when we stop by the Farmer's Market or when the sandwich craving hits. They do have breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well. read more
Came to Gigi's for a Yelp Perk and ended up picking up lunch to give them a try. During the pandemic, there's no indoor access to see all the goodies they have lined up on the counter, but (depending on the coronavirus tier) there's outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The cafe is located on the ground floor of an office building. Decided on the meatball sandwich and a Chinese chicken salad. As fellow Yelper Kristie L. remarked from a picture I posted - "that sandwich was huuuge"! By far it's one of the largest meatball sandwiches I've ever seen. It nicely put together - tender meatballs, marinara sauce, melted cheese ... all nuzzled in a soft roll. Salad has fresh romaine, sliced grill chicken, mandarin orange slices and the sesame oil based dressing. Gigi's Cafe is a gem of a place, albeit in a nondescript locale. If you want to grab breakfast or lunch that's only a couple of minutes off Hwy 101 (Broadway or Anza exits), give Gigi's a try. Plenty of parking right outside the cafe is the best. read more
Gigi's cafe is located in an office building, across of the street from Embassy Suites. It was a little confusing at first to know where to go, but there is a parking lot that will lead you close to the exterior part of their business if you follow Gigi's business signs. I ordered online and got the Cuban Pork Sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread. It came out to $10.95 plus tax and tip. Since I ordered online, I was able to pickup my sandwich on the exterior of the building in the pick up only line. Folx who need to order should place their order inside of the building. Pros: -sandwiches are massive and they give generous portions of meat -friendly staff -lots of hand sanitizer available -although there are some patio tables and chairs available outside, my recommendation is to take your meal across the street to look at the birds in the water and watch the airplanes. So glad I was able to try Gigi's for the first time a few months ago for a Yelp elite event, since this is my new favorite sandwich spot! I'm actually not a huge sandwich person, but I've since converted due to their huge portions and unique sandwich options. The first sandwich that got me hooked was that Thanksgiving dinner sandwich... It's amazing. I've also tried the Buffalo chicken sandwich, which I kid you not has 8 tenders somehow stuffed in there. I've also tried their cookie assortments -- chocolate chip, red velvet... You can't go wrong. The staff is always super friendly and generous. Now that outdoor dining is open, I can't wait to grab some sandwiches and have a picnic right across the street with a beautiful view of the bay. P.S. OMG. Teresa outdid herself with this cake. It was so much taller/bigger than I expected. A bit tricky to cut but we managed! The layers of frosting are quite thick, so beware. I was unable to finish my slice (even though we tried to cut small slices!) because of how generous each layer is. I didn't really care for the cookie balls, but that's just personal preference. Still thought they looked cute and added to the decor! Would highly recommend if you need a celebratory cake or just have a craving for something sweet. read more

I've known Gigi, before she was GiGi, and before there ever was a GiGi's cafe. Her baking and cooking has always been out of this world. Sadly I don't live on the peninsula anymore so I haven't been able to visit the cafe in a long time. Last week a friend DMs me a video of someone reviewing the sandwhiches at Gigis cafe. And I was like holy shit!!! I know GiGi!!! I didn't know they started making amazing sandwhiches now too! So of course I had to stop by as soon as possible and see the hype for myself. I've been on a hunt for the best pastrami sandwhiches the last year or two myself. So the Tech Bros caught my eye immediately. I got no Turkey just because of personal preference. It came out soooo stacked and huge. Gigis does not skimp on ingredients whatsoever! Be prepared to get one of the biggest and tastiest sandwhiches of your life! I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the sandwhich options asap! But the goodies don't stop with the sandos! I got a guava lemonade with my meal that I think they make in house. It was amazinggggg. I wish I could have had 2 more of them after. Don't sleep on the baked goods either! Gigi is a wizard with the baked goods! I got a raspberry bar to end the meal with and it was so soft and flavorful. Deff one of the best raspberry baked goods I've had in years! Do not sleep on this Gigis cafe!!! Delicious and HUGE sandwiches. They are extremely generous with the meat. I was very happy they had gluten free bread which meant they gave me two individual sandwiches, since they use a smaller sliced gf bread. Wow! Finally a deli that doesn't skimp out on the gf peeps. Thank you! The other sandwich was Dutch crunch and the bread was fresh with just the right crunch! We will definitely visit again but we might split a sandwich next time since we both took half home since it was too much to eat in one sitting! Not a bad thing! read more

Think sandwiches, salads, breakfast food and coffee drinks. Appreciate that they off breakfast items ALL day. I got their American breakfast burrito with sausage and it was delicious and piping hot. It was early in the afternoon and I hadn't eaten anything all day and this bad boy filled me up! You order inside and then pick up your food outside to avoid congregation of too many people. Free parking and there are tables outside to eat. It's right next to the Bayshore trail, which is great for those who want to take in the Bay after eating or if you want to have a picnic with a view. read more
I came here for the first time during a Yelp Elite Week event around Thanksgiving Time. We had the Thanksgiving dinner sandwich and it was truly love at first bite. I knew this restaurant would then be added into my rotation of places to go. The sandwich was superb and they have a wide variety of fresh deli sandwiches made. They also have fresh cookies and other desserts they bake. I came back a got a breakfast burrito and a dozen cookies for National cookie day and definitely was a great way to start the day. The burrito was packed and tasted amazing. The cookies were so fresh and soft and legit so good! I definitely will come back to try more things on their menu. Great thing is that you can order online and pay for it that way since Covid is something we are dealing with. They have a pick up window and you can get your food when your ready. This place is pretty nice for breakfast or lunch. The sitting they have outside is really nice with great scenery, and easily parking. I ordered my food an hour before online, and paid online. Online, I like that I was able to pick the time that I would pick it up so I can order in advance. I also like that I can leave comments for each order so I can change / adjust things to my liking. When I arrived, my food was ready for me on time and all I had to do was pick it up at the pick up window. The service was pretty nice too, they got my comments on the food correctly. Overall, nice vibes and cute little place. Definitely recommend if your looking for simple breakfast/lunch sandwiches. read more
