I always pass by Gigi's and have been wanting to try it. Today was the day. We placed an online order to go on their site for a large cheese pizza and side salad at around 4:15pm. The site said the order would be ready at 4:45. We arrived there a little early but it was done right at 4:45 as indicated. The lady who helped us was very attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a lot of seating outdoors and ample parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza smelled amazing! We We were both excited to eat it. I had my side salad first. They are very generous with the mozzarella cheese on top of salad. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite but still decent. The pizza was very saucy. It was good but I would've preferred more cheese vs sauce. Overall, I think I still prefer Lomeli's for pizza.

    Pepperoni slice (perfectly crispy)

I love their lunch specials! Two slices of pepperoni pizza, a soda, and a salad for under $10. Slices are large,so I'm full off of one slice and I save the other for later. Workers are nice and work hard in that small kitchen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of tables outdoors and parking in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall, I had a great experience. The wait was a bit longer than expected at about 26 minutes, but it was worth it. The pizza was still piping hot when I got home, which is always a big plus. The sauce was pretty standard--nothing particularly standout--but the toppings were excellent. It was colorful, fresh-looking, and exactly what I'd hope for from a supreme pizza. The crust was really good too, with just a slight flop, which is understandable given how loaded it was. Definitely a solid pizza overall. As a local in the Gardena/Hawthorne area this is a must try pizza spot.

Gigi's Pizza is a weekend go-to in our house. If you're in the Gardena area, definitely check out this local spot. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food never disappoints. Besides pizza, they've got salads, wings, and torpedoes (sandwiches). Whether you're grabbing a full pie or just a slice, it's always a good choice.

    Sicilian pepperoni. Highly recommend

It's been a long time since I came to Gigi's. It will always be Bonello's to me. Got a craving for a Sicilian style pizza and it definitely hit the spot. Nice and crispy crunch with also the right amount of chewiness. It's hard to find a good Sicilian style in the South Bay and I've looked and tried almost everywhere. Thanks Sylvester for doing a great job all these years!

I recently visited Gigi's Pizza (Formerly Benello's) on Crenshaw Blvd across from El Camino College. Although I grew up in the area, I rarely stopped in there. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. It had good meats...adequate amount of cheese and sauce and although we ordered to go the Pizza was plenty hot when we arrived back at my shop to eat! It was really quite good and I know for sure we'll be back.

The saddest meatball sandwich I've ever seen.

Saddest meatball sandwich. Barely enough meatball to cover half this bread... Pepperoni pizza on the other hand was fantastic.

Sicilian Thick Crust Pizza with sausage.

The Sicilian Thick Crust pizza here is amazing. I ordered it with sausage. My family thought it tasted great too. The crust had a nice favor and crunch to it sauce and cheese tasted great too. I usually order the thin crust NY pizza but I really liked the thick crust even better. This place has the best pizza and workers are always so nice!

They let me down again. I called in an order for 1large eggplant sandwich, 1 large Italian Hero, 1slice of mushroom pizza, and 1 antipasto salad. My wife went to pick it up and asked me why it was so expensive. They told her I had ordered extra meat when I never did. I called to ask what the deal was and they did apologized and said they would refund the $4 charge for the extra meat but it's just annoying having to do this in the first place. It just doesn't motivate me to purchase food there as much as I used to never knowing what's going to happen next.

Does anyone remember that the building that Gigi's is in was originally an orange julius place? That was probably 50+ years ago.

Yes!! Actually, I was barely born when it was first built in 1964, but I know that it was in business until 1968. It was then that it became Perry's Pizza. Perry's became Perry and Terry's Pizza, which lasted just a couple more years. In 1983 it…

Service here is quick, warm, and occasionally chaotic in a charming "we're hustling, my friend" way. One minute you're sitting down, the next minute a plate of crispy chicken lands in front of you like it teleported. Even when they're busy, they move with that "we got you" energy. "Is it perfect? No. Is it fast enough that you forget you were ever hungry? Absolutely." The chicken... my God. Crispy like it trained in a dojo. Saucy like it's trying to flirt. The seasoned chicken hits harder than other spots, a little spicier, a little louder, a little "I hope you cleared your schedule." Portions are generous. Prices are a little tad bit higher, but honestly, you're paying for chicken that could win awards and maybe even run for office. Probably not, lol. As for the Flavor, well if you like things on the spicy side good, this is the spot. I understand why people come back multiple times a month. I almost signed a lease in their parking lot. lol. Parking's on the side or parking lot can be a bit challenging, but well worth the taste and ambience of the place to make you forget about it. Miguel C.

When I got home I realized despite saying bbq sauce on the side, they still sauced my wings and they were soggy by the time I got home so I needed to put them in the air fryer. The chicken had good flavor because of the sauce but it was not seasoned. When I swung by midweek there were a few workers presumably on their lunch break. Menu is abundant. I especially appreciate the small combo types, since most Korean fried chicken places make you order an 8 piece minimum. Great for getting your fried chicken fix without having to spend more than you want to commit to. Ordered a 2 piece combo, consisting of a leg, thigh, soy garlic sauce, macaroni salad, fries, and a soda. Was $12.10 with tax - a steal! I have a smaller appetite so it was plenty. One of the two pieces though was a drumstick and thigh connected together, so not sure if that was intentional or generous. Chicken was crispy even an hour after it was ready (they got my order ready ahead of my scheduled pickup time), and moist. Soy garlic sauce and macaroni salad were textbook. Plenty of fries, but they definitely need to be eaten day of. Soda images for online ordering are a can but it actually comes in the form of a cup you fill at their soda station. Could have at least thrown in some tofu. -Ponzu pork belly skewer: 2/5 stars. Thought this would be very tasty since I love pork belly. Wasn't soft and tender. Lacked flavor. -Fried rice: 3/5 stars. It was ordinary fried rice. Nothing distinctive to note about it. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it. -Shiitake mushroom skewers: 3/5 stars. Not bad. Could have used sauce of some kind to jazz it up a little bit, but liked the smoky flavor. -Tebasaki wings: 4/5 stars. Crispy and tasty. Would have been five stars if it came out piping hot. -Korean BBQ short ribs: 4/5 stars. Very tasty and tender. Nice flavor. Came out sizzling. -Takoyaki: 4/5 stars. Enjoyed eating this a lot.
