I always pass by Gigi's and have been wanting to try it. Today was the day. We placed an online order to go on their site for a large cheese pizza and side salad at around 4:15pm. The site said the order would be ready at 4:45. We arrived there a little early but it was done right at 4:45 as indicated. The lady who helped us was very attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a lot of seating outdoors and ample parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza smelled amazing! We We were both excited to eat it. I had my side salad first. They are very generous with the mozzarella cheese on top of salad. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite but still decent. The pizza was very saucy. It was good but I would've preferred more cheese vs sauce. Overall, I think I still prefer Lomeli's for pizza.

    Pepperoni slice (perfectly crispy)

I love their lunch specials! Two slices of pepperoni pizza, a soda, and a salad for under $10. Slices are large,so I'm full off of one slice and I save the other for later. Workers are nice and work hard in that small kitchen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of tables outdoors and parking in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall, I had a great experience. The wait was a bit longer than expected at about 26 minutes, but it was worth it. The pizza was still piping hot when I got home, which is always a big plus. The sauce was pretty standard--nothing particularly standout--but the toppings were excellent. It was colorful, fresh-looking, and exactly what I'd hope for from a supreme pizza. The crust was really good too, with just a slight flop, which is understandable given how loaded it was. Definitely a solid pizza overall. As a local in the Gardena/Hawthorne area this is a must try pizza spot.

Gigi's Pizza is a weekend go-to in our house. If you're in the Gardena area, definitely check out this local spot. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food never disappoints. Besides pizza, they've got salads, wings, and torpedoes (sandwiches). Whether you're grabbing a full pie or just a slice, it's always a good choice.

    Sicilian pepperoni. Highly recommend

It's been a long time since I came to Gigi's. It will always be Bonello's to me. Got a craving for a Sicilian style pizza and it definitely hit the spot. Nice and crispy crunch with also the right amount of chewiness. It's hard to find a good Sicilian style in the South Bay and I've looked and tried almost everywhere. Thanks Sylvester for doing a great job all these years!

I recently visited Gigi's Pizza (Formerly Benello's) on Crenshaw Blvd across from El Camino College. Although I grew up in the area, I rarely stopped in there. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. It had good meats...adequate amount of cheese and sauce and although we ordered to go the Pizza was plenty hot when we arrived back at my shop to eat! It was really quite good and I know for sure we'll be back.

The saddest meatball sandwich I've ever seen.

Saddest meatball sandwich. Barely enough meatball to cover half this bread... Pepperoni pizza on the other hand was fantastic.

Sicilian Thick Crust Pizza with sausage.

The Sicilian Thick Crust pizza here is amazing. I ordered it with sausage. My family thought it tasted great too. The crust had a nice favor and crunch to it sauce and cheese tasted great too. I usually order the thin crust NY pizza but I really liked the thick crust even better. This place has the best pizza and workers are always so nice!

    Current prices as of 8/22/24

They let me down again. I called in an order for 1large eggplant sandwich, 1 large Italian Hero, 1slice of mushroom pizza, and 1 antipasto salad. My wife went to pick it up and asked me why it was so expensive. They told her I had ordered extra meat when I never did. I called to ask what the deal was and they did apologized and said they would refund the $4 charge for the extra meat but it's just annoying having to do this in the first place. It just doesn't motivate me to purchase food there as much as I used to never knowing what's going to happen next.

Does anyone remember that the building that Gigi's is in was originally an orange julius place? That was probably 50+ years ago.

Yes!! Actually, I was barely born when it was first built in 1964, but I know that it was in business until 1968. It was then that it became Perry's Pizza. Perry's became Perry and Terry's Pizza, which lasted just a couple more years. In 1983 it…

One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. I ordered "the melrose" which seemed to be their flagship sub. It was at the top of the menu--seemed to be basically a turkey bacon ham club type of deal with a kick. Maybe "the melrose" just ain't the thing to get here. Not so sure I'll be back though.
