If I could give 0 stars, I would. I'm extremely disappointed with the way my family was treated at this nail salon. My mother called ahead to ask how much it would cost to remove a Gel X set. The man who answered the phone (who we later found out is the owner) clearly told her it would be $10. Based on that information, my mom took my 16-year-old daughter to the salon to get the removal done. While my mom was at Walgreens picking up her medication, my daughter called her saying the salon was now telling her the price was $15 instead of $10. Naturally, my mom called the salon back to clarify, and the same man answered the phone. This time he said, "Well it's only $10 if you're getting other services with it." My mom asked him why he didn't explain that when she originally called to ask about the price. Instead of simply acknowledging the miscommunication and apologizing, he immediately became defensive and gave my mom attitude. To make matters worse, he had my mom on speaker phone in the salon, so other customers could hear the conversation. Meanwhile, my 16-year-old daughter was left feeling so uncomfortable and embarrassed that she started crying when she got back into the car. I have never experienced a nail establishment treating customers this way, especially a minor. All he had to do was take responsibility for the misunderstanding and handle the situation professionally. Instead, his pride got in the way and the situation was handled very poorly. Because of this experience, I will never take my daughter back here and will not recommend this place to anyone. This was easily the worst experience my family has had at a nail salon. read more

I've been coming to this salon for a long time and always had good experiences, but my last visit was honestly the worst I've ever had and I left injured. The technician who worked on me seemed very new and unsure of what she was doing. She kept asking other staff members for help and accidentally cut all five of my toes on my right foot with the drill bit, including a deep cut on my big toe. She realized she'd hurt me and changed the bit, but it was already too late. It burned badly when she put rubbing alcohol over the cuts, and I could barely keep my foot still from the pain. Even days later, my foot is still sore and it hurts to walk which should never happen after a pedicure. The polish job was also sloppy, uneven, and on my skin. Another technician had to step in to fix it, but I still had to redo parts at home. I've always supported this salon, but this experience really shook my trust. I just want to warn others to be careful if you notice a new or inexperienced technician and I hope management takes this seriously, retrains their staff, and prioritizes safety and hygiene. read more

Tom is one of the owners at this establishment and he knows you by name and always addresses you with proper care, asks how you were doing and i appreciate how personable he is, i admire his personal aspirations. It's was the first time for us, pani pedi. Vi did a EXCELLENT job on me, but as for Kyle (text confirmation stated Kyle) that did my mom's nails ... I'm not here to rant.... Don't get me wrong, nails are BEAUTIFUL, however, he did not put a clean towel underneath her arms while doing the mani, and unless you repeatedly ask to include to clean up the cuticles, he failed to do so. Arms ended up itchy and dirty from the nail dust from who knows how many other peoples nail dust. Sorry, it just didn't look clean. Also, may I add.... I didn't understand having the Virgin Mary (respectively) on one corner and TV screens with half naked women, with inappropriate language? Hmm... I've been a faithful customer here. I'm on time, I keep it simple. I tip well. I really dont ask for much other than proper service. Trish is who I go to and she's only available weekend so it's literally a race to book her. At first it was worth it because she's a sweetheart and does a great job. The people who run this place could careless about the customer it's money, money, money!! Recently service and work has had a downfall. I try to be as understanding as possible. Today is my last and final straw. 1st time I waited 15 minutes because they put her to work on someone else. Cool I smiled and that's it. They did it again ok whatever. 3) I don't live close. They call me minutes before my appointment to change it. That really upsets me!! I haven't got my nails done in 2 months because they changed my appointment time LAST MINUTE. I was already in parking lot last time and they push me out 20 minutes. I just left. Today, I was excited to get an early Friday appointment and it's my birthday. 10 minutes before my appointment I booked 1 month ago. They called to push me out 15 minutes. Once they start doing that it sucks because then Trisha works in a hurry and doesn't do the best job. I shouldn't have to settle for that type of service hurried and rushed. While I don't like leaving bad reviews, I think this is a must. I went in for a gel pedicure and builder gel manicure. The girl did not clean out my cuticles at all. I wish it was an exaggeration when I say she was gliding over the cuticle with her nippers. She pretty much just put polish on. They do not respect your appointment. I've been trying to book with Kyle since the beginning of this year, but once i get there he's starting to work on someone else, they call me to reschedule, or today i booked an appointment with Kyle at 10:45am. He was working with someone else, no big deal. I get my pedicure done in the mean time. I finished my pedicure as Kyle finished his manicure set, but instead of respecting the appointment i made, Kyle walked away and didnt return for much time after. I'm done giving chances. Respect customer's time and appointment. I wouldnt go here, but if you must, book with Heidi. She's the only one that seems to care about her customers and will actually have a conversation with you. read more

I decided to give this place a try since the nail salon I wanted to originally go to was closed. The actual establishment is small, cramped and cluttered. The technician was rude and sort of rough with my hands. I asked for coffin shape and I wasn't really happy with the way they turned out. The nail base was wider than my nail bed. Very, very dissatisfied! First of all, I've given them several chances and hate leaving bad reviews but this final time I went in was the absolute worst, and last time. 1. The man at the front desk was absolutely rude. Anytime I had a question (on prices, or services) he responded as if I was inconveniencing him with my questions. I believe his name was Jay or Jayden? 2. The nail tech working on my full set was filing my nails so recklessly he cut me. I told him it hurt repeatedly but he obviously did not care. He was in such a rush and the finished product shows: chunky acrylic, weirdly shaped, and just plain messy looking. I requested "almond shaped" but not sure what you would call this shape? **To be fair, my mom and sister also got full sets and theirs were not bad- cannot complain on that. 3. The man at the front desk overcharged me by about $20 - he claims he thought my mom/sister got gel on their acrylics.... I am not sure why because the nail techs obviously knew they didn't do gel. When I brought it up to him he told me I should have said something before paying because now he would have to do a refund and redo the transaction. At this point I was at a loss for words!!! I went to get a repair at 6:40 and they said no one was available. They closed at 730 and it was just two nails. Yet, techs were with no customers. One guy was doing an employees nails - an older Asian lady. The guy who did my nails was standing there with no customers. Really bad service. The guy asked me to come back on the weekend. The owner said $22 plus $4 for callus remover . I did not like that being it was very nice inside the actual nail polish had been diluted down which meant 4 coats of nail polish. The nail polish looked thick once applied which I didn't really like. When I went to pay the owner said it was $42.00 . I had him write what he specially charged and he included a nail polish removal fee of $3 !!! Excuse me, that should already been included in the price. Now, there is still $12 unaccounted for. Looks like the lady she got is still learning...she made the thumb lengths super short compared to the other fingers. I come several times thinking it would be different from the previous time and giving them a second chance. It's a hit or miss with this nail business. I'm tired of wasting my money for having poor customer service and impatient workers.... :( It's frustrating.... I get my nails done many times and the only reason why I went to this location is because it's close to my house and I didn't want to go far... but I'm so disappointed for the amount of money I paid for poor quality they gave me. I honestly wouldn't recommend coming to this location unless you are desperate. I got my nails done with them today... and already 2 hours after... it looks like I had these nails for 2 weeks... I have been coming to Tip2toe for years now and during the shutdown was the longest I've gone without getting a pedicure. Today was our first time back since re-openings occurred. They renovated their salon during the shut down (purely coincidental) but during the process also added safety precautions within their manicure and pedicure stations. Everyone, staff and clients, were wearing masks. There is definitely a safe distance between service provider and client as well as client to client. They've always done an amazing job of cleaning stations and of course are continuing to do so. Apart from all the above, I'm so grateful to Helen for being my pedicurist all these years. She is extremely warm and kind and on top of that is phenomenally skilled. She does miracles on feet and goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy. I go for the Happiest pedicure experience which is the longest with the most bells and whistles but I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel that Helen is incredible. And paying an extra $5 for services is worth it for all that the salon has gone through to improve their safety and cleanliness. Thank you again! read more

I thought I had finally found my nail shop. I've come here quite a few times in the past 5 months, yesterday was the first time I was unhappy. I asked for short coffin shape nails, John filed them down so far they ended up square. He also used too much acrylic and didn't file them down. My nails look like disgusting lumps, like i have some kind of nail disorder. They look like bubbles. i wanted gel a set so it was not cheap. I spent $50 including a pedicure and tip. I've never been so embarrassed about my nails before. Now I'll probably have to spend even more money to make them look decent. read more

I originally came for eyelash extensions but those are by appointment only which is understandable, but I'm not from the area and I also needed a fill so since I was already there I went ahead and placed my appt for my lashes and sat for my fill. Ashley my nail tech was amazing!!! She was fast and detailed and she fixed my broken nail without having to remove the old one and put a new one !! I wont mind traveling from Carson to Norwalk for my nails as long as it's done by Ashley she is bad ass!! I am a day late but wanted to write a review from my experience yesterday, 9/28... I never like to do Walk-In's but yesterday I figured let me try anyway plus nobody was picking up the phone, which was understandable because once I walked in, they were super busy. I was asked by a Gentleman what I needed done, I basically told him I would like to get a Dip Powder on my nails. During that time, nobody was available to do it and he asked if I can come back in 45 min which was about 5pm. Of course they were all busy when I came back, I was given Colors to choose from for the time being. Long story short, Thank you TOM for accommodating me at short notice and ONE for doing an EXCELLENT JOB with My Nails! HORRIBLE NAIL TECH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came in with an appointment today (1/7/20) at 4pm for a full set. I had on gel press on nails that I loved and wanted the real acrylic version. The lady kept sighing and made it seem like it was annoying to remove the press on nails I had....Wierd. She kept making comments to her coworker who asked if they were press ons and I said yes. He just said they were pretty and then the conversation ended. Why did it matter? Anyways. I asked for the same length nails I came in with and the same shape. I told her this multiple times: everything the same. By the time she was done filing and finished my nails they looked so ugly - like skinny whittled down sticks that don't even match my finger size. Very confusing when I said I wanted exactly what I came in with and she saw them with her own eyes. She also kept telling me to "relax" when she was filing my nails cause I guess my fingers were too stiff. Kind of hard to relax when someone is so unfriendly and cuts you multiple times with the nail drill. I noticed she didn't attempt to initially clean up my cuticles at all. I asked her nicely to please take care of my cuticles and she seemed annoyed W's af my request. I had to ask twice and she just went "all of them?" And I showed her the cuticles which obviously needed a little tlc since I worked with my hands all day. Anyways the total was $43 for a crappy job, skinny baby nails, and two nail drill cuts. One of my fingers she worked on actually hurts. Very upsetting since my bday is next week and that's the reason I wanted them done. Overall very disappointed and upset by this nail salon. If you're reading this please choose somewhere else to get your nails done, to save yourself the time, money, and a totally busted & unacceptable nail job. I'm so upset at myself that I even paid for what I got, but I was exhausted from work and so sick of this lady all I wanted to do was go home. read more
