Doughnuts are good. However its very unkept and the mens restroom was disgusting. I saw people using restroom including staff, when I took my son into the restroom it looked like it hasnt been cleaned in months and no hand soap. The cleanliness of this establishment especially the restroom makes me question the cleanliness of the food prep too. Staff is very nice, but I decided to eat elsewhere. read more

Still the best donut place in Gilroy by far. Locally owned, All the donuts are fluffy, warm, and demand to be eaten on spot. It goes great with a warm cup of coffee or a cold sweet soft drink. At the time, I think they were about to close up so the choices of donuts were pretty slim-picking and not so fresh. But despite all that, the donuts were SO GOOD! I've tried a few different donut places here in Gilroy and this is the best place. It sucks that they aren't open 24 hours but that place had donuts that tasted stale. I usually come to this place before 10am on any given day and the donuts have always tasted fresh. Sometimes they run out of my favorites which can be a bummer. The reason I don't give this place five stars it's because they DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS. Even if they had a $5 minimum or a surcharge of some kind I'd be happy to pay that because stopping to get cash can be a real PITA. Who knows they'd probably do more business read more

If you are looking for a classic yummy donut shop this is the place to go! While it may not look like much, the donuts are some of the best! We always get the cinnamon twist and chocolate raised donuts. My son always gets a sprinkle donut. The cinnamon twist is almost like a mix between donut and croissant. It's so fluffy and light. Just made a stop here after reading all of the rave reviews to pick up some donuts only to find the store dark and a sign on the door saying "Sorry, we are out of donuts." I'm so sad now! OK, so it is not the nicest or cleanest shop I've ever seen, but just go in and pick up the BEST donuts you will ever have! The chocolate frosted Old Fashions are to die for. They do not skimp on the frosting so be prepared to use a napkin to wipe the extras off your face. Love this place. read more

My brother and I used to have to make a pretty hefty commute early in the morning (before they fixed up highway 101), and this was the place to be. Yes, the coffee is cheap, but it's a coffee house! The donuts are exquisite early in the morning when they're still warm and the glaze melts onto your fingers. And unlike some of the donut shoppes I've visited in San Jose, this place still has their donuts priced so that you can pay with a coin. Great! read more

I've been going here several times a week for almost 15 years. This family is hardworking, accepting, friendly and they are proud to be a part of this Community. I personally like their glazed buttermilk bars. I was going through an Apple Fritter phase for a number of years and craved Gilroy Donut's fritter. My spouse likes their Chocolate Old Fashioned. You can usually buy a donut with some change you have under the front seat of your car. So gather up a few quarters and head down to the Donut Shop because it's been a long week and Fatty, you deserve a reward. read more

Great family run donut shop. The owner is very friendly and kind. I used to go in to buy a dozen donuts every Saturday morning for a group of friends and he was always so nice! Also, one evening I brought in my kids as he was just closing up shop. He gave my kids and I a bag of all that was left at no charge and said to please enjoy them. I thought that was very nice of him and left a lasting impression. Love the old fashioned chocolate and maple crullers. So delish!! This place is great! Donuts are awesome, especially the apple fritter and bear claws. There is a claim about discrimination but that's exactly what it is, a claim. Owner has always been friendly to me and my children. I believe his comment was taken out of context but people are so quick to claim racism these days it's ridiculous.
