Food is amazing. The staff is wonderful. So why the poor review? We have made the 40 minute drive on 4 different occasions (during their posted business hours) and they have been closed. One of those times, we took the day off of work with Gina's being the kick off to our rare "us day". Extremely disappointing and frustrating. Things happen, I get it and that is why I didn't say anything but 4 different times over 6 months? Nope, we're done there. Food is decent the staff was rude. My father has cancer and is very weak he cant stand for prolonged periods of time. I showed up a few minutes before him to grab a seat so that way he wouldn't need to wait. I got to the restaurant and there was a seat open. I asked to grab the seat and sit there waiting for my father so that he wouldn't have to stand too long.. She told me its their policy that you cant sit until your entire party arrives. 36 year on this planet and I've never heard such a ridiculous policy. I came here and ate with my father many many times before he got cancer so its very sad they would treat loyal patrons in such away. Just out of principal i wont eat here anymore. read more

Recently moved into the area and wanted to find a good breakfast place. Gina's did not disappoint. It was very homey and the staff was friendly. A lot of options to choose from, from the table menus to all the chalkboard specials. The food was great and satisfying. The only downfall was because the restaurant is on the smaller side, the staff seemed to rush us out to seat the waiting customers. I would definitely come back though! read more

If I was a greedy person I would tell you to stay away from Gina's...more for me and no wait to get a table BUT I will share my good fortune. This place rocked my world with the savory jalapeño waffle and smothered chicken. It's big enough to share so if you're uncertain, order it for the table to share. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our waitress knew the whole menu and all the items on the wall. We really enjoyed ourselves as did the family at the next table. They ordered 5 different french toast dishes and couldn't stop saying how delicious. Add this to your places to try something you can't get anywhere else. There is NOTHING better than Gina's. It's the cutest little spot in the Harrison Township area. The waitresses are always so polite and attentive. I also absolutely love how the write all of the food/drinks that aren't on the menu on the chalkboard walls. Makes it feel very unique and cozy. Be aware that when going to Gina's your entire party has to be there before you can be started. I completely understand why they do this, Gina's is always very busy and they want to best serve their costumers, even though some people do not respect this rule. I recommend literally anything off the menu and especially the hot chocolate. I already have plans to be back at Gina's this Friday. Just. Can't. Get. Enough. read more

I heard about the food here and thought I would try it for myself. My Mother and I went in for breakfast the other day and I liked the look of the place. Very cozy. Anyway, we had gotten are food fairly quickly and throughly enjoyed it. My family from Vegas came in for 5 days and wanted to go to breakfast. I said let's go to Ginas. My parents arrived at Gina's around 10:10-10:15 because they like to have coffee together before I arrive at 10:30. They would not seat my 80 year old parents until I arrived. Their policy is to wait for the entire party which at a busy time is completely understandable. SIX, I repeat 6, EMPTY tables and they still would not seat my parents!! The hostess/waitress said that there may be a rush at any moment. Again, completely and totally understandable if it were the breakfast or lunch rush, but 6 EMPTY TABLES! They did not even have the common decency to offer my parents a cup of coffee while they were waiting. I have been customer service/restaurant management for 30+ years, this is totally unacceptable. Stopped in for the first time for breakfast and it was busy. Good sign. Once sat we were promptly waited on. Place is definitely old school but clean. I had a skillet with spinach and tomato. The eggs were nicely done the potatoes were redskin and plenty of fresh spinach. Definitely worth a trip back for breakfast again. read more

Man you want talk about a restaurant that has a menu everywhere. They have their normal menu and then all over caulk boards all over the restaurant they also have more. I went with the chicken pita quesadilla. My friend when with a sandwich I can't remember what she got. But I did enjoy my quesadilla a lot it was a different style which wasn't bad at all. Our waiter she was very polite and very helpful and even help me pick out what I ate. I did like that they had an extensive breakfast menu and just so many different options to choose from that you won't get bored with a place like this. I'm deathly gonna have to check this place out several times to see how the rest of the food is. read more

This place has the best food. It's worth the wait. Breakfast is the bomb, big portions. Lunch is great, homemade dressings, different coffees and teas. Specialty dishes. Closing for a month. This is my favorite breakfast spot around! I go here frequently and I recommend anything on the chalk board. My favorites are the Hungarian omelette and the hollandaise omelette. If you have a sweet tooth French toast and waffles with chocolate, berries, syrups and lots of whipped cream are popular. The Hani was pretty good, French Onion soup was good too. They close early and there's often a wait. The place is small and could use some sprucing up. $23 for French toast, soup, sandwich and onion rings, no drinks. After hearing about Gina's for a couple years by friends I finally had a chance while in town to stop in. I believe my server was Denise and she was very attentive and friendly and on the ball. The restaurant was very clean and fairly busy. Anyways being a cannoli connoisseur I just had to try their cannoli cream stuffed French toast, with a side of home fries. Big mistake! The French toast was enough to fill 2 " normal" diners. And the side of potatoes with onions was huge also, and delicious! The French toast was quite possibly the best I have ever had. I cannot wait till the next time I'm in the area so I can try something else. Perhaps the banana cream French toast or a skillet. Word of mouth is all this place needs. So good! Mouthwatering as a matter of fact. We've been going here for a year or 2 now and we LOVE it. They recently revamped the menu and have more breakfast specials, which are all fabulous. The best thing on the menu in my opinion? The skillet. No one comes close to Gina's skillet. Heck, few places even have them on the menu anymore! The Hungarian Omelet is another fav of mine. Just the right amount of sausage in it. My husband goes for the sweet stuff most visits and he loves everything he's had there. And we don't feel sick after we eat here like we do at some other breakfast places. Good quality food here. No fake stuff. I cannot go here often enough! I'd go every day if I could. Reminds me of Downtown Cafe in Downtown Rochester, a little bigger though. Owners are always in (waitress and chef are married).
