Sashimi Salad
Skye A.

We came here before going to a concert in the area. We arrived just before 5. There is a parking lot so that was helpful. It started getting busier the longer we were there. The service was very friendly, and we didn't lack for refills or being checked on. I got the cherry blossom roll, and my husband had the Alaska Roll. He was very pleased, because it wasn't loaded with a ton of rice. My roll was really good as well. He also ordered the sashimi salad and loved it. The presentation was wonderful and everything looked really fresh. We enjoyed our visit and will be back in November when we have another concert to go to.

First time here and I got here at 8 and it was not busy at all. They do have their own parking lot so parking is not an issue. The service is nice. They are nice and attend to you. The food was decent. Usually when I get salmon carpaccio, the pieces are smaller but these pieces were big. Which big isn't bad but does that mean it's quality fish. Still delicious as far as I can remember. The beef black bean sauce dish was okay. It was good but not good good. Good portion. The ambiance is a small vibe. Like it's not fancy, more of a take out spot. It's pretty small inside. It is on a road that is very busy so turning into their spot might be a while. They do charge a customer fee (2.99) which I've never seen before. It's kinda inconvenient and don't know why that is necessary. It was a last minute option place but I wouldn't go here again.

The service here is always quick and great! The food is priced really well and the quality is great!! I got the orange chicken and dumplings and they're incredible! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also love how clean the restaurant is[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibes are great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sashimi Salad

The Aesthetic: Family-friendly sushi restaurant with lots of booths, no-frills, plain atmosphere. The Price: Slightly cheaper than some of my regular sushi spots in CLT, which was nice. The Value: You get a lot of food here for what you spend, the sashimi salad I ordered was loaded and below market price compared to its competitors. The Parking: They have their own lot, but it looks like it could get packed and full on a weekend night. My Order: I enjoyed the Sashimi Salad with a side of ginger dressing. I did not enjoy the Salmon Dream Roll, the description didn't specify it would be doused in spicy mayo and it was way too mayo-tasting, I could barely taste the roll. The Conclusion: I enjoyed the Sashimi but not enough to make me want to add it to my list of favorite sushi spots in the city. The fish tasted a little cheap, and I didn't like that they loaded their sushi rolls in sauces to mask the fish. I enjoyed my meal for the most part and the waitress was great, but I honestly didn't love it.

My first time ordering from here and got takeout sushi. I am fairly impressed with what I ordered - bogo spicy tuna rolls and the Niu roll. The cost of the sushi was fair, being less expensive than other restaurants. I did not expect the spicy tuna rolls to be big which was nice considering it is a basic roll and at other places they are usually smaller. I would definitely order from here again.

7 years later just adding to my review! Still one of my favorite sushi places! They have the best Thai tea and the salmon, tuna are always fresh, excellent service, fantastic serving size of fish, really good eel as well. Always consistent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little local restaurant with a relaxed comfy feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My husband and I came here with a friend and shared: - Firecracker Roll - Spicy Tuna Twist Roll - Cherry Blossom Roll - NIU Roll - Volcano Roll - Crab Wontons I was impressed by the rolls. I listed them above in my order of preference. The only one I didn't enjoy was the Volcano Roll. All of them (except the Volcano Roll) were pretty big too. They have small tables outside that are big enough for two people. We pulled a couple together. I hadn't heard too much about this spot as far as sushi goes, but I'm glad we stopped by.

This sushi was so good. I literally can't even explain. Top 3 rolls I've had in Charlotte. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not super busy on a Friday night which was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reasonable roll prices ~$14 a roll. Service was fast and friendly. Parking lot is kinda tight but not that bad. Go here!

Solid delivery option. The firecracker roll was pretty good. The smoked salmon wasn't my favorite but was different and worth a try. You can't go wrong with the Sa Cha Beef or 401 Spicy. The latter is like orange chicken and is clearly their specialty.

The restaurant is stylish, modern, and surprisingly chic , with a great location that makes it easy to add to an evening out. As first-time guests, we especially appreciated our server, who patiently walked us through the process and made sure there were no surprises. The explanation about the charge for uneaten all-you-can-eat sushi that guests want to take home was particularly helpful. Knowing the rules upfront makes all the difference and sets the right expectations from the start. The food was excellent. We worked our way through several rolls , sampled dumplings , and didn't find a miss among them. My Lycheetini was delicious, and after tasting a couple of sakes , I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Zero regrets there. Parking requires a little planning, with a paid lot nearby unless you're fortunate enough to snag a street spot right in front. Overall, I'd happily return and enjoy the entire experience all over again.

I would skip their fried rolls since you can barely taste the actual sushi. Their classic rolls and specificities are good though! Favorite was the black pepper tuna which was so nuanced in terms of flavors. Overall some of the rolls were a miss while others were pretty good. Service was good too!

So his choice was here. Google directions suck they took us around the back to the parking garage for the 2nd level and since we have never been here before it took us a few minutes to figure out how to get down to the first level. When we entered there was a waiter taking an order and no one else on the floor so we had a little bit to get seated even though there were only two other parties in the restaurant. We were able to sit wherever we wanted so I sat with a view of the screen with the replay of the Brazil FIFA game on. My husband wanted the unagi don but didn't order because the price seemed high. The table next to us all ordered bowls and the serving size was huge so my husband regretted it. We order takoyaki, spicy wings, and 3 rolls Godzilla, Hadouken, and Master Roshi. The wings had amazing flavor but were not spicy. Takoyaki was flavorful and the perfect temperature. I get a lot of takoyaki that is entirely too hot and have to crack them open to cool before eating them. My husband did not enjoy the Godzilla roll he said the topping was too much and didn't add to the flavor. But enjoyed the other two. I enjoyed all three rolls the flavor was fresh and very little need for soy sauce fine without it. If we are ever in Charlotte with time to eat I would stop here again.

The cucumber salad was nicely, chilled on refreshing the takoyaki delicious the temper was good, had a cocktail it was fine, except very small considering what it cost. . The servers were efficient, friendly, and conscientious. The only thing was the restroom. There were a couple of signs in there that I did not consider appropriate for restaurant of the caliber in any case bye . We'll have to try again another time to see if that makes the reaction not bad but not great either.

The octopus honestly wasn't fully my type flavor-wise because of the seasoning, but it was cooked extremely well -- probably the most tender octopus I've ever had. Great location in south end near the light rail. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The restaurant is gorgeous! I was in amazement walking to my seat. The host was about to sit us at a table, but we requested a booth and were accommodated. Our server was very nice and thoroughly explained the menu. We started off with the empanadas and I ordered my first virgin "pinny yolada" :). The empanadas were mind blowing! They were nice and hot, flavorful, and absolutely a delight! We were so impressed, we decided to order the double fried wings afterwards. The wings were good and had an interested flavor with the tamarind. After the wonderful appetizers, it was time for the entrees. I ordered the short rib yuca gnocchi and my friend the arroz con pollo. On paper the gnocchi sounded sublime, but in actuality it was lacking a lot. The entire dish lacked so much flavor, even with hot sauce, additional salt, and lime it tasted bland. I was very disappointed. The empanadas and service were a saving grace, I ordered two orders of empanadas to go for my family. However they were so expensive. I paid $14 for 3. Even though I loved the empanadas, I probably would not be back.

We arrived at 5:17 p.m., were greeted immediately, and seated right away. When I opened my menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see "Happy Birthday" printed across the top. Another thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special. Since we arrived early, the atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and honestly very romantic. We could actually hear each other talk without raising our voices. The lighting was perfectly dim--creating a cozy ambiance without making it difficult to see the menu. The service was equally enjoyable. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly, and never overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As for the food, it was every bit as good as I remembered. The quality hasn't changed at all--fresh, beautifully prepared sushi with consistently excellent flavors. We'd never tried Omakase before, but we've had other curated dining experiences. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant, she started on beverages, and explained that the Omakase would be a two‑hour experience...totally fine. Within the first 20 minutes, our first dish arrived and it was excellent...But then...nothing. We waited, and waited, and waited. An entire hour passed before the next dish appeared. I pulled the waitress aside to check on the delay, she explained they had a sudden influx of customers but she'd ask the kitchen to move a little quicker. The food did start coming out after that, and the managers came over to address the delay, which I appreciated, but the damage was done. I wanted a memorable birthday experience for my daughter, and unfortunately it ended up being a bit of a disappointment considering the time and cost. The food itself was delicious, but poor pacing and lack of attention to the customer overshadowed the entire experience. I didn't ask for compensation but the managers took it upon themselves to comp my wine flight. I hope this was a one off experience but I can't say that I'll return to this restaurant.
