    Kung pao beef with peanuts
    Ben W.

I'm sorry to do this but the food was nothing special. I got the Kung pao beef with peanuts and it was just tons of soy sauce covering the beef, green peppers and celery. The rice was nothing special and the soy sauce was just so overpowering that the quality of the food just was not great. No authentic flavor and beef was somewhat rubbery. Chicken wings were a bit okay. Luckily I only spent 9$ with combo special but only have this place if you want to be disappointed. It's nothing special.

I was craving Americanized Chinese food and while I searched many restaurants, Ginger Tree had exactly what I was looking for: combo plate of crab Rangoon, chicken fingers, boneless spareribs, and pork fried rice. I also added on wonton soup for a dollar and bought beef terriyaki as an app. All for under 12 bucks! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was happy to find that none of the meal was greasy and the boneless spareribs were very lean cuts, which was great. To ensure the safety of their employees and customers, Ginger Tree has a door with a box where you can grab your food in a non contact way. You call them once you're there and will get you your food once it's ready. You can place the order online or by phone. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

L 21Pork egg foo young luncheon special

Definitely a hidden jewel type of place in the town of Westford Massachusetts. Our regular place for lunch was closed they were doing repairs so we kept on looking and then decided to just pick a place on the side road so put it in the map we were looking for and it took us right to the front door of the ginger tree restaurant. We got a egg foo young luncheon special which is good from 11 to 3 it was $6.95 they had two huge egg foo Youngs on it with fried rice and three chicken tenders the batter-on the tenders were light and fluffy the egg foo young was cooked perfectly almost like a very light scrambled egg it was so fluffy like an omelette the fried rice was chock-full of fresh vegetables as well as big chunks of pork and the size was ample we had a little bit in the car and will take the rest home to eat it for later the gravy was served separately as well as the chicken tender so nothing was w other moisture are wet and everything like sometimes they do. they do take out and delivery only as I believe they probably did before the Covid. Because the inside was not very big from what I could see. But it was definitely clean and well-kept nice and the people were very friendly. We will deathly come back here again on our next trip north. Looking forward to trying something else. We went with our regular choice and that's why we picked what we did and We were more than pleased with what we got.

Had a craving for an "old school" Chinese lunch. This beef egg foo young lunch special hit the spot.

Great "Chinese" food take out with reasonable prices and very friendly greeter. If Kowloon is a 10, this Ginger Tree is a solid 8.

Good but not great Chinese food. They get an extra star for their bone in ribs and their crispy duck.

The service was quick, the decor was beautiful, the water was good, the bathroom was spotless and the appetizer fair. Now the bad news. I ordered the Crispy Pad Thai, as I am a huge Pad Thai fan. Unfortunately, the dish was bone-dry and completely devoid of flavor, by far the worst Pad Thai, and my most tasteless restaurant dinner of ANY ethnicity ever. It was analogous to trying to eat damp straw. It appeared and tasted as if they crushed up a pack of the Ramen noodles that form the diet of many college students. I ate the 3 huge(but tasteless) shrimp and the few pieces of chicken that I could find in this mess, a little of the nasty noodles and left the rest. I was going to request sauce and some form of heat to try to make it more palatable, but unfortunately the only time that I saw my server after he delivered my dinner was when he brought the check. I overheard a nearby table extolling the virtues of their Chinese dinners, so maybe their other food is better and I just ordered the wrong entree. But, I will have a whole year to determine if I want to try something else on my next trip, or just write this place off. Let the buyer beware!

Very tasty, good flavor, good amount of pork with cabbage, crispy wrapper, maybe could be a little fatter. 7 out 10 6.)Chicken Finger , add on $3 for 3 of them good value. Nice golden batter very tasty with perfect meat to batter ratio. 8 out of 10. Overall a nice experience for takeout, $21.95 not bad for the amount of food I received, very friendly person at register, food was fresh and hot. Would have loved to have given a 4 star review but the Rice needs to get better and the boneless ribs were very dry. It's a solid 3-1/2 stars. Will definitely eat here again.

They have a big parking lot although it took a weird turn for me to figure out how to get to the street. And my car did get in the lot so just a warning for that even though the lot was basically empty somehow my car was struck ‍The service was great, they were attentive and were pretty quick to get all food. For appetizer we got the crab rangoon and beef rolls which are both with a good sized portion although the crab rangoon was more heavy on the cream flavor. We got the large size of the hot n sour soup and the portion was a lot larger than expected for the price of $6. The noodles were a little let down, lacking some flavor this was both for the cold noodles and beef soup. The mapo tofu and the sichuan chicken were definitely my favorite, the mapo tofu had the perfect numbing flavor that I love.

Think understatedly sweet pulled pork on a bun, only with duck and Chinese flavors. Looks small, but pricing is in the appetizer range, so I treat it as such. Good. -- Shredded Beef with Cayenne Pepper: Not your typical brown sauce glop, even though it might look that way. Lots of spices mixed in, and possibly tiny bits of garlic, along with a fermented, slightly salty quality. Longhorn pepper added mid-level spice. -- Spicy Lamb Dry Hot Pot: Plenty of spiciness and plenty of numbing action from the chili peppers, though no whole peppercorns I could feel. The lamb was both crisp and tender, with spices clinging. Texturally, the vegetables (broccoli, string beans, lotus root) and thin potato slices were all perfectly in the sweet spot between too firm and too wilting. Intense lamb flavor and sauce flavor. Elite. -- Fish Filet in Chili Oil Sauce: Tried this on a lunch combo after enjoying it several times as an entree and it's almost as big as the entree. Very soft, tender, unbreaded fish chunks in an oily, spicy sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Fish Filet with Green Sichuan Pepper: A huge bowl with delicate white fish and a mostly clear broth that suggested lack of flavor, but looks can deceive; this was very spicy in a pickly, peppery, mouth-numbing way. The broth was too thin to make it suitable for rice, so best with bowl and spoon. -- Shredded Pork with Wood Ear in Hot & Sour Sauce: A new dish introduced in October 2025, this had very tender wormy-shaped pork shreds in a treatment that lived up to the name. Spicy for sure, and very tart as well, with pickled green chili peppers doing double duty. The black mushrooms were relegated mostly to textural enhancement. Clean flavors and no real sauce per se; a nice, unique dish. -- Ma Po Tofu: Pretty solid but pretty standard rendition, with a Boyardee color and consistency, but a spicy, peppery flavor. Soft tofu. Average or a tick above. -- Green Beans with Yacai: Perfectly cooked vegetables with plenty of crunch, just enough wilt, and every one of them well lubricated but not heavily sauced. I'm talking zero glop. Accented with yacai, another vegetable additive that lends some mysterious (actually fermented pickled mustard greens), addicting flavor along with salt. Not saucy, not spicy, but not the least bit lacking. Excellent. -- Sichuan Kung Pao Chicken: Tried on a whim to see how different it would be from standard. It's spicy chicken, with a bit of Sichuan peppercorn tingle, but not that spicy. Same peanuts, no celery. Slightly but not overbearingly sweet. Tender but not crisp. Nice little diversion, but prefer my Spicy Shredded Chicken (much spicier, no sweet) when in a chicken mood. -- Hot & Sour Yam Noodles: Thick, slippery glass noodles in a thick, dark brown condiment with a strong soybean flavor. A little too intense for me, like trying to down a Guinness. Whole soybeans on top. Service is solid, even with just a couple servers at most times.

Then she brought the bill before we requested no one was waiting to be seated, then refused to split the bill when previous times with a different server was not a problem. We split the bill to only 2 because thats all she could do, me paying for 4 people she denies my tip amount and says if I don't tip a 18% , theywill charge me $80 extra for a party of 6, again we were only 4 people. I ate there once or twice a week (sorry waistline) and I fell in love with a dish - Honey Walnut Shrimp. I have been unable to find a restaurant that sells a comparable one, but Taka Asian Cuisine in Littleton comes pretty close. Located in the open-air, mixed shopping and entertainment center called The Point is this Asian Fusion restaurant sitting among many other options. The spots directly in front are almost always filled up so you're going to need to park in the larger Market Basket lot about 50 steps further away. The restaurant has an upscale vibe to it and there's an option between Hibachi and Dining. Of the few times I've been here I've only ever done dining. Dark and moody is how I would describe it here thanks to the dark leather booths and dark wooden tables. The red-lattice accent walls give a punch of color - this place is definitely meant for dining in and not just for takeout. Our wait staff were excellent. I was never without water for more than a moment. They did not bother us until we were deep into eating our food. And they accommodated extra requests with no hesitation. Very recommended. Mein Fun w/ Beef ; I'm always sold if I see a noodle dish on the menu that uses rice noodles instead of udon or egg noodles. It has a nice balance of cabbage, onion, carrots and green onions, and eggs spread throughout making the dish a delight to eat from beginning to end. Crispy Walnut Shrimp ; this is my star of the show and it is so good. the shrimps they use are satisfying large and plump. the light batter on the shrimp were neither soggy nor too thick. the sauce was just the right amount of sweetness without being nauseating, and the broccoli had great crunchy snaps to them. my cravings were totally met by this.
