The atmosphere was nice - low lighting and the decor made it feel like the typical at-home Italian feel. The food was also great - I thoroughly enjoyed all of the food I ordered and the fresh bread that came with the meal. I think my one complaint has to be the service. I admit, I did show up on a Friday night, but I was seated immediately... and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for water. Getting bread about 10 minutes after also was a bit disheartening, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. Overall - maybe I'd come back on a less busy day, or I just felt a huge amount of variance that day. I'd happily give Nonno's another shot someday, as I truly like their food - just a matter of getting it out in a timely fashion.

Soup and salads arrived but no appetizer. Entrees arrived. I canceled the cheese curds. No apology. My friend ordered another drink. It never arrived. Our server never checked in. It wasn't that busy. Service gets 2 stars only due to the bus staff keeping our waters full. Food. They start you with an olive oil balsamic butter with really crispy focaccia. Excellent. I wished they would have added some grated Romano or Parmesan cheese. This was the highlight of the food. The food gets 2 Stars. It was subpar for what I expected from the reviews. Maybe I'm being harsh but the fettuccine Alfredo was under seasoned, dry and lacked Parmesan cheese. Another diner had the same opinion. So much so I left the leftovers. The shrimp scampi was underwhelming. The cioppino was over salted and the seafood over cooked. The Caesar salad was tasteless. The minestrone was average and the Caesar salad was tasteless. The dressing lacked garlic, anchovies and salt. Not sure it deserves a second chance.

The other pasta's change, but they always have fresh ingredients and creative combos. Some of the best and unique pasta has been from Common Pasta. Just cause it's a food cart doesn't mean it can't be amazing and top quality. Following them on Instagram to keep up with where they are going. I went ahead and ordered a Build Your Own Pizza with up to 6 toppings. I got the Red Pesto sauce, Mozarella Blend, Chicken, Sausage, Pepperoni, Garlic, Mushrooms, and Mozarella Slices. They told me, "it will only be 5 minutes." 5 minutes. I could not believe it. It came out and it was piping hot. You can eat at one of the tables there or get it in a box to-go. Next time i'll have to try the salad line. The Pizza was AMAZING. I added crushed red pepper and Parmesan to it too. It's thin crust which makes it cook faster and the stone oven can cook so many pizzas. They also offer gluten free crusts and put it in the oven with it's own foil liner and let everyone know that a GF pizza is going in so people can keep non GF pizzas away from it. AMAZING. I ordered the Italian sandwich, and it absolutely hit the spot. It was fresh, flavorful, loaded with quality ingredients, and honestly cured my hangover. Sometimes all you need is a really good sandwich, and Casetta delivered. The experience was made even better by the woman at the register. She was so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Her kindness made the visit feel even more memorable and was the perfect start to my day. If I had gone with one of their more adventurous sandwiches, I probably would have felt like it was worth the challenge of dealing with Madison Street parking. They spend more effort trying to give their dishes cute Italian names than trying to make a decent meal. The so-called "Hi-Top" seating had about the same feel as sitting at a bar. You and your guest were seated directly next to each other, and you had to physically turn completely around to speak with the wait staff that was taking your order.
