We had a chicken cutlet grinder and a pizza from here over the past few months, both were great!

We went to Giovanni's for DJ trivia this Tuesday. DJ trivia is by far our favorite trivia in CT so we'll go wherever they go. The happy hour offers reduced prices on food and drinks and runs weekdays 3-6pm. We were shocked by how large the small cheese pizza was for $8 the deal was spectacular! The crust is thin, light, and crispy. Cheese and sauce are tangy. Fries were nice shoestring style and crispy similar to McDonald's. Chicken strips were a little dry but the sauce was tangy and tasty which made up for it. Service was good and the server was attentive and friendly. Will be back! read more

Hello, I am not from here and I'm gonna give them a three because I love the way that they wrap the sandwich. I love the way that they wrap the sandwich. The bread was fresh toasted, but yet hard on each corner maybe because I never been here before the steak to me is steak. I don't know if it's real estate but it look like steak comes to me. I ordered a medium and it looks like it was a small spread it over the food. Honestly, I should've got tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. The only reason why I got it because I thought I would taste the cheesesteak I get it I would not. On the other hand, the lady that waited on me is very nice. Tried to understand my English my Baltimore accent the may not so friendly to me but yet when a certain person come in hey how are you doing? How are you doing? How are you doing? Enjoyed one of their pizzas on one evening and also enjoyed their veal and eggplant parmigiana grinders that were the top. Excellent food and quick service. Always a favorite of our when visiting our old home stomping grounds. read more

I got a flyer in the mail so I stopped in for a lunch special that offered two slices and a can of soda for $8. The pizza was ok but far from remarkable - NY thin crust. The reason for the 2-star review is the service. The young woman working the register was more interested in her phone than helping a customer. She as rude and impatient when I asked questions about price since it isn't posted anywhere. Tried it due to the mailing. Won't be back. read more

I'm not really a pizza girl because I'm gluten free and when ordering gluten free pizza, a lot of places are really inconsistent. I figured I'd try out the Cauliflower Crust Italian Flag and it did not disappoint! The crust was cooked crispy and perfectly and the toppings were great (I also subbed spinach instead of the broccoli). My mom had a regular cheese pizza which was also divine! Definitely going to be my go to spot for GF pizza! read more

Delicious! I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and was craving pizza. So glad we stopped here. We live in Woodbury but came out this way to drive by a dealership. We live right down the street so order from here occasionally - especially if we're going out and need pizza and salad for the kiddos for dinner. The pizza IS NOT wood fired thin crust Italian style pizza. If you're thinking delicious Italian pizza due to the name - you will be disappointed. This is more of a thicker Greek style pizza. But it's not bad. We had the lasagna pizza last night and it was pretty delicious! Highly recommend trying it. The chicken francais was not good. Super thin tasteless sauce. Staying at a nearby hotel everyone was raving about Giovanni's so we had to try it. The wife tried the meatball sandwich on a hard roll and she LOVED IT. We ordered from here last night for delivery. When I called to place our order they said delivery was 45 minutes. I also asked if the wings were breaded or fried and they said not breaded. We ended up ordering a whole chicken parm grinder and some teriyaki wings. The food came closer to an hour later. The grinder was very good. I liked the chicken cutlet they used. It wasn't too thin or thick. The amount of sauce and cheese was perfect. The wings, however, were breaded. The teriyaki flavor got lost in the breading as they tasted very bland. This was at one time my go to for pizza, grinders etc. however tonight this changed. After placing an order for delivery the wait began. After an hour I requested an update, to which I was told "it's no longer on my screen so it must be out for delivery" (0.9 miles away). Well I got ready for delivery and dinner, now impressively hungry. After about 15 minutes we called for an update and was told it just left 2 minutes ago. Fast forward another 15 minutes call 3 was placed, thinking perhaps he couldn't find us for some reason. The manager spoke with me to explain, I have the wrong address and the pizza is at (insert wrong address here). I explained that was not correct and the address on my emailed receipt is where we are. He argued with me about the correct address, as though I was unaware of my current location. He then told me "you're not my only customer, you need to be patient". Argument ensued. 10 minutes later, now 1hr and 46 minutes after placing the order the pizza arrived, cold and abysmally constructed and the salad was missing. Needless to say I'm disappointed more in the owner than anything. Customer service sells more and retains more than anything. If the pizza was sub par it would have been one thing. But the argumentative owner and telling me I'm not his only customer and I need to be patient turned me off to his business, even if he was the best pizza in town, it's now a hard pass. read more

We're not from the area but make a point to stop by when passing through. Quality pizza, subs, wings and the service is great. Even though we don't go frequently, they know it's us when we call the order in. Our favorite thing is the cheesesteak grinder; go figure for a pizza shop. They really know what they're doing here.
