Food is always done quickly and order accuracy has been at 100% so far. Parking is easy and abundant . This is mainly a takeout joint. They do have about 3-4 booths that each seat 4 people. GOOD PIZZA! I'm from NYC I'm very picky unapologetically... The taste is consistent that's important to me. You know when you got a taste for something you want what you paying for period. & I can say in person or delivery they have not let me down not even once. Customer service is on point to. One time I order delivery and the driver was late (late as in my pizza was still good but it could've been better if it was that fresh hot u feel me not OD late tho) & because he was late he refused to take my tip . Now this ain't to bash him or nothing cause ish happens but he did mess up but I respect the fact that he has integrity. I would've gave it to him regardless but he has a standard. I like that too. After a hike at Castle Craig we headed to Hubbard Pizza for a greasy slice of pizza. My cousin swears this is the best pizza around. Since she's not a Yelper I can say she doesn't have the best taste in pizza. But according to her it was cheap and good. Their lunch special was $4.75 for 2 slices of pizza and a soda. Ergg I hate soda after a hike but I wanted the best bang for my pennies. The water bottle was smaller than the soda bottle so I went with an Orange Fanta loaded with Red Dye #40. You can always count on Red Dye #40 to give you an artificially stimulating high. My tired body bounced back into a rejuvenating bottle of energy within seconds. Oh yes back to the pizza. The restaurant was WAY too hot to dine in - BE WARNED NO AC. They had booths but besides that there isn't much. Oh the pizza wasn't all that great. I prefer Angelina's in West Hartford because the slices were a true bargain. The slices here were rather small. If I'm going to eat a greasy pizza I want a stuff your face will feel guilty slice. Offers were cheese and pepperoni. They grab you a slice and reheat it up quickly. Gosh this economy is terrible for my diet. Now onto the service, the guy working the counter was amazing. Very friendly and talkative. Service was amazing but see I didn't come for the service. Overall I would say this was place okay nothing special at all. This was some pretty decent brick oven wood fired pizza. Meriden is pretty close to New Haven, but this pizza isn't much like what you'd find there and it isn't really at all like the more historic Little Rendezvous style pies from nearby. The deal we got was two extra large cheese pies for $20. It was a lot of pizza - a great deal and a good pie. They dont have a fancy sit-down restaurant, a few booths and a few picnic tables outside. They deliver. Good gooey-stringyness in the cheese, crust a little floppy and not too crispy in the middle-not easy to pick up the slices after it had travelled back to the office, the tomato sauce played a reasonable supporting role but didn't stand out. Nom nom nom pizzzzzzzzzzaaaaa-- We have heard nothing but great things about this place, however we never tried it until about 2 weeks ago. We ordered a large pizza (garlic, mushrooms, bacon) all of which were generously put onto the pizza. We also got a large antipasto salad, with some creamy Italian dressing. Just as a suggestion, the dressing was in a "kens" packet which has to be costly. I ordered a pizza from them for the first time asked for extra cheese and a little extra sauce. when the pizza got here the delivery man was very nice and courteous but the pizza was terrible I called and told them that the sauce and the cheese was all over the place but on the pizza he offered to make another one but I have 3 kids that need to eat and can't wait. Very good pizza! Thin, crisp and chewy crust with that brick oven flavor, nice sauce and good cheese. We got an X-Large cheese pizza, 16 slices, for $13.50! A large cheese pizza is 12 slices for $12.50.....So get the X-large! You don't want to lose money on this deal! We also had a specialty small veggie pizza, with no cheese, which was loaded with delicious veggies, roasted peppers, olives, onions, tomato slices, some excellent breaded eggplant, and sauce ($11). And we also ordered a foot long meatball grinder, which I was told was very good. The sub disappeared in a bout 5 minutes, so I believe the positive reviews. It looked like a solid sub to me, and it smelled a nice! The inside of the restaurant is very small with 2 booths, and the fella helping me was very friendly, and carried my order to the car. The have a nice selection of soda, small and 2 liters bottles, grape, orange, root beer, and the other usual suspects. Hubbard Park Pizza is probably one of the better pizza places that actually delivers in Meriden. You get the brick oven flavor, but it's still chewy. Maybe chewier than I expected and not as crisp as I like brick oven pizzas, but that could be because the last few times I've ordered from here, it's been for delivery. In general, though, the pizza's good. It has a good sauce, and if you get toppings, the pizza gets pretty covered. Important note: the extra large pizza is really big. Everyone should go to the other Hubbard Park Pizza because you shouldn't treat your customers they way I was treated. I was yelled at over the phone. I accidently picked it up from the wrong Hubbard Park Pizza (because for some reason they built two places with the same name within 1.5 miles of each other on the same road). But ok, I know that was stupid on my part. The other place pretended they had my order by asking "yes, what was your order again." Later the Meriden place realized that I went to the wrong place and the man of the phone starts YELLING at me and acted very rudely. "What am I going to do with these two sandwiches!"
