Came to Gino's again after a long day. We had a party of 4 and was able to sit in the dining room part. It's a nice and quiet place to eat and able to chat. The food came out hot and on point.

Gino's has been a go to for me and my family for years. We love their grandma slice and the pizza selection they have. Their baked ziti pizza slice, chicken marsala, bruschetta slice and their Joe's club salad are our favorites. Can always count on Gino's for a pick up/delivery for lunch or dinner.

Finally took the time out to sit down at Gino's and I'm more impressed than I am when I pick up take out orders. Service is good the waiters are attentive to all tables not just the ones in their section. Baked ravioli was really good I don't remember needing to add salt. Chicken was seasoned and the Alfredo was nice and creamy. Table bread and salad was good as well.

Jonathan you are awesome. Hi Brandon & his Fiancé. Congrats. *** You have to run NOT walk to get yours here. When I tell you that everything is AMAZING, DELICIOUS, FRESH, TASTY & 1000% worth the trip. When I go for it's just me and my hubby. I make sure to get enough for tonight, late night snack for the samnight, Breakfast, snack, lunch, dessert & late lunch. Yummmm. The ENTIRE staff are wonderful. Very friendly and always a welcoming smile. Great personality and just nice people. I WILL BE BACK.

To be honest, I thought it was walking into Umberto's, but since I've never been to Gino's, I figured I'd give it a try, the place was dead. I was the only customer so I ordered a buffalo chicken and a margarita slice buffalo chicken was good. It was a heavy hardy slice. The chicken pieces were definitely too big for the slice and the margarita was lackluster, it almost looks like umbertos from the outside. I think that's the whole point of Gino in that area is to get the overflow from umbertos. I wish them luck. I won't be back.

Impressions: We walked in at different times but got quick seating, followed by quick waters, including the lemons I asked for. Solid. Then came unexpected breadsticks! They came with butter not oil, but tasty as a start. The waitress offered more bread and even noted she could bring Italian bread instead. Service: 5 stars. The place had soft background music, nice lighting, plenty of space inside. Ambiance: 5 stars. My friend got garlic knots for the table. They're huge, and super soft, and absolutely delicious. Plenty of marinara for dipping. Even the burnt looking one was perfectly done. 5 stars. Out came the pie, split 50/50 mushroom and sausage+garlic. I had one of each and Oh. My. Goodness. This is the best pizza outside of maybe Staten Island I've ever had. Chock full of toppings - worth every penny to add those. Perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Perfectly crispy crust. Absolutely divine flavor through and through. 24 stars. If I'm ever going to be enticed to come back to Long Island, it's going to be with a visit to Gino's. I have NO CLUE how this place doesn't have 5 stars but trust me: This'll spoil you on how good pizza can be. Nowhere else is gonna measure up. Eat at Gino's. Period.

We've been getting pizza from Gino's for a few months now and it's gotten to the point that if we're offered pizza from anywhere else, we ask if they've ever had Gino's. It's not "traditional New York pizza", it's better! The seasoning you normally add to a plain slice, is added to the pizza during the cooking process. For god sales, they have perfected the garlic knot pizza!!!

Really. A burnt chicken roll and now they don't answer the phone.

We ordered a slice of Grandma pizza, cold antipasto for two, calamari fritti, Caesar salad, pasta alla vodka, shrimp scampi, and chicken Francese. Needless to say, we left with plenty of leftovers. The standout item was the Grandma pizza, which was excellent. The crust, sauce, and overall flavor were exactly what we were hoping for. The other dishes were good, but generally average and not particularly memorable or exceptional. Nothing was bad, but aside from the pizza, nothing really distinguished itself from similar offerings at other local Italian restaurants. The service was personable and friendly. However, it fell short of exemplary. We had to ask several times to have our water glasses refilled. To be fair, it was a very busy evening and our waiter appeared to have his hands full, which likely contributed to the oversight. The décor felt somewhat dated and could benefit from an update. While ambiance isn't everything, it does contribute to the overall dining experience. For us, the biggest drawback is location. At about a 25-minute drive from home, we didn't find the experience compelling enough to justify a return visit. There are simply too many other restaurants on our list that we'd rather try or revisit. While we don't regret giving it a chance, it's probably a one-and-done visit for us.

Sorry I won't sound that way in this review. I don't jump on YELP to review right away unless something's really got me irritated and fed-up. The Ambiance is basic pizza place IMHO.. Plenty of tables and space. I've eaten pizza and pasta dishes for at least 65 of my 70+ years on this earth and worked in a pizza place during the late 70s-early 80's and I KNOW my pizza AND pasta, especially the sauce. Today's baked ziti and baked stuffed shells was literally out of this world, meaning it tasted like it came from an alien, possibly one of those we've been hearing about on the MSM news. It Was HORRIBLE! No, I don't have pictures because I do NOT have a cell phone or a cam. My wife does but she is not home today. Trust me, I do NOT knock pizza places unless it is well deserved, like this place. This was the 3rd time I've tried this place. The 1st time I ordered the same as today. It was delicious. The 2nd time I ordered a round cheeses pie which was a bit too well done for me, so not satisfied. The very 1st time I had just a slice or 2 and was very satisfied, which is why I went back. Today, I'm sorry I decided to stop there. It's a total waste of $27 as I can't even eat this. It looks and tasted like leftover food from last night. The stuffed shells were way overcooked. So soft that when I attempted to transfer to a big bowl, they fell apart. Too soft and the "ricotta" was not creamy or melted. It looked like ricotta does when it's gone bad. I was afraid to eat it, THAT'S how bad it looked. I did TRY it along with the baked ziti, but not good at all. So, you might wonder how the baked ziti was? HA! NOT GOOD AT ALL! The ziti tasted as it looked. Overcooked. Some brown "burn" spots on the mozz, (very little cheese) and the same "expired looking" ricotta. I tried a couple fork fulls but it tasted burnt to me. well done, burnt and dry. Sorry guys but this was horrible and unacceptable. This was to be for my wife and me tonight. Now I'll just make my own, which I'm quite capable of and KNOW it will be edible and much much better than the garbage I was given today. I would call but the convo would not be pretty since I'm in a rotten mood, so I am just writing it here. I won't waste my time or gas in bringing it back. This place is NOT around the corner. I was just passing by again so I figured I'd get some hot food. I should've stuck with the pizza. I mean really; how do you screw up baked ziti and shells? There's 3 ingredients plus the pasta. The Ricotta HAD to be bad to begin with and then the overcooking it compounded it - or vice-versa. I hate throwing away food but this is going in the garbage AFTER I get my wife to take a couple pics. Both meals are in a big bowl, mixed together since the shells fell apart and I THOUGHT maybe the ziti could be salvaged using some of the sauce from the shells but even then, it tasted horrible. Obviously, Enzo's is off my fav. places to eat pizza/pasta list. It does take the #1 worst ziti and shells spot though. So bad I wouldn't even want another order if offered. I'll take the loss. It's not the first time I've wasted cash. Live and learn. Calda, Positano's, Sbarro's, Gino's and a couple other places nearer to me have yet to disappoint, so I'll stay with them. So now, having just wasted $27 and annoyed at that thoughh it could've been worse, I'm going to drink my blues away with a beer or 3 and then I'll feel better - or fall asleep in front of the TV. If my wife takes a picture and we can figured out how the heck to upload it from her phone, I'll do that as soon as possible. EDIT: The bread given with the meal was also hard and cold as if ( again ) it was leftover from yesterday or even before then. But from what I recall about the bread, it looks a lot better than it tastes. I'll be throwing that out too.

Some of my favorite slices are the mushroom, meatball slice, and they do seasonal veggie slices that are great. Their dough is chewy and crispy while not being too heavy or oily feeling. I really like that they have a flavor for everyone, no matter what you're feeling! My only gripe is with their sandwiches. They look a lot better than they actually taste. They're a huge portion that makes the price tag fair (which is really hard to find lately). It looks super flavorful but it really doesn't taste like much. Their focaccia bread is good, but the homemade semolina for the meatball parm was disappointing.. it was mushy and dense. Overall, I would stick to their pizzas because they clearly do it well.
