Honestly, surprised that they are not more busy on the weekends. Ended up making a reservation since I had a large group of people and always like to make reservation to guarantee a spot. It was easy to call in and make the reservation, though I'm not sure if we even needed it since when we arrived it wasn't that busy. They have a very extensive menu with both veggie and non-veggie options. I got the lychee iced tea, which is a great nonalcoholic beverage. Personally, it was too sweet for me, but I did enjoy the flavor that it had. For my main dish I ordered the mystery box. At least looking at other photos and reviews. It looks like the box varies but a few staples are always included. I really enjoyed the tuna, salmon, salmon belly, and toro. They were beautifully buttery and so tender and flavorful. The uni/roe chirashi was incredible. There was a crab dish that wasn't the shinning star of the box but better than I was expecting. The box is pricy, but worth it for the quality of fish and you will be full by the end of it. Give Ginza a try, there is bound to be something here that you enjoy!

Standard casual sushi take out place. Rolls were good but the nigiri did not taste fresh. But for the price, cannot complain. Service was quick and it was quick in and out.

Came here one last time with my coworkers for their HH on my last day at UCSF Stanyan. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. The decor was simple but inviting for Japanese fusion place. My first time trying their lychee martini and it was yummy! I wanted another one but was full from our orders. If you're nearby Ginza on Haight, make sure to come for the HH deals and their yummy drinks! If I'm nearby again, i will def come and try their other items.

Ginza has some yummy rolls! I tried their Umi and Ginza roll, and they have were good quality. The service was a tad bit slow and it is a little expensive, but overall a solid place for sushi.

Amazing sushi, great vibe for a date night, and really great service! We made the short walk from Golden Gate park & I'm so happy we did, truly amazing sushi. The surf and turf roll was our fav but the ginza roll, spicy negi toro, and tomodashi tartare were no joke either. My boyfriend got the yuzu lemonade that was so light and refreshing, I got the hot ginger tea that was amazing too!

Came here with a girl friend on Saturday night after she just got back from Japan & everything was fresh & delicious! It was quite busy when we arrived but we were able to get seated right away as they had a lot of table for 2 open. Service was top notch & very attentive. We had Cassie as our waitress and she was so friendly, very helpful with providing options & recommendations. Overall we were both very satisfied with the food, service & music. It was upbeat but not too loud where you can't hear. Highly recommend this spot for date nights too! We'll definitely be coming back :) thank you!

Believe me, it gives me no pleasure to identify a one-star experience because this is only the 40th time I've done it out of 7,654 reviews over twenty years of Yelping. In other words, I don't hand out one-star reviews lightly. I came here in search of a simple lunch at a spot I never tried before. They offer a $25 flat rate for either three select items or a choice from their Cut & Crafted section. I was happy to see Chirashi as one of the latter options, even though it was oddly misspelled 'Chirachi' on the menu. Regardless, $25 for a chirashi bowl struck me as quite a deal. It came with miso soup and a rather ambitious box of nori. The soup was OK, but the 'chirachi' was abysmal. First, the serving size was sparse for a supposed lunch entree. It consisted of five flimsy fish slices over not a bowl of rice but scarcely a cup. Second, it was arguable how fresh the fish was, but the mix of fish was inarguably weak: one slice of salmon, three slices of tuna, two slices of an unrecognizable whitefish, and an inordinate amount of roe (Photo 10). If the chirashi was designed to match up the discounted price point, then they failed at the execution because it was unlike any chirashi bowl I had ever seen. I couldn't eat the whitefish and left most of the rice. I didn't even touch the nori because it served no purpose other than exacerbate the utter failure of the dish. I can't speak to the rest of the menu which despite my doubts, might be good. However, this review is specifically about my experience, and all I suggest is avoiding the so-called 'Chirachi' (sic). FOOD - 1 star...likely the worst rendition of chirashi I've had...and I've had it a lot AMBIANCE - 3 stars...fairly spacious dining area though limited at lunch SERVICE - 3 stars...the server was adequate but.. TOTAL - 1 star...that 'chirachi' was something I won't forget soon...even though I wish I could RELATED - Exploring the Haight? I've been here a couple times and apparently I never wrote a review! Lol I honestly love the freshness of this sushi as well as the sashimi!! Everything was incredibly clean and we were seated rather quickly and I was also surprised this place is open until 10 PM almost every night!! I will definitely be getting takeout more often!! Perfect little spot to have a date night, great cocktails, and eclectic combos of rolls!! They also have some TVs by the bar, and I loved their lychee sake cocktail! I can't wait to try another cocktail!!

Stopped by for some sushi for lunch and Ginza Sushi was nearby so it seemed like the perfect choice. There was no wait and my party of 6 was seated right away. It is a nice quiet place with quick service. Once we got our orders in, it did not take the food long to arrive. I ordered the roll that was recommended to me by the staff, and I kid you not, it was by far the BEST single roll I have ever had. Rolls range between $17-25, and I only got one roll. If I ever have a special celebration, I will come to Ginza Sushi as it was quite tasty, just a little bit on the pricey end.

I've liked most of the items ordered here. It's more of a fusion type place and they were kind enough to not add some of the sauces on the roll when I asked. The plating is pretty and there's a good amount of interesting options here. I do wish they had more traditional rolls though. My absolute favorite was the butter scallops. I couldn't stop eating it. It had the right amount of garlic and butter. The scallops and asparagus were cooked well.

After walking the Golden Gate Bridge, we were hungry for sushi. I searched for a nearby location and found this spot near Golden Gate Park. We were happy to find a sushi spot open on a Monday with lunch hours. We scored a metered spot directly in front. A cute spot that can be tight seating wise if every table is taken. The one server did a great job working the tables. We ordered the Nigirii tasting for $29.99 off the special menu, which included seven kinds of chef selected nigiri. We also ordered two Unagi Sushi and a lychee iced tea. I definitely appreciated the accommodations made for my dietary restrictions. Everything was fresh and delicious! We decided to add miso soup which was good, but could have used a bit more tofu and seaweed. Overall, a great lunch!

We recently indulged in the tasting experience at Ginza Sushi & Sake, and it was nothing short of exceptional--a beautifully curated journey through seasonal seafood, delicate textures, and thoughtful pairings that left us completely satisfied, yet wanting more! Karaage Chicken The meal kicked off with their karaage chicken--perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. It had just the right touch of garlic, and the accompanying sauce balanced the richness without overpowering the flavor. A comforting, familiar, and flavorful start. Mystery Box: Chef's Premium Nigiri & Sushi This was the star of the lunch. Each piece felt like a surprise gem--rare seasonal fish, handpicked with precision, and expertly crafted into artful nigiri. The cuts were buttery and fresh, each one slightly different in texture and temperature. It was a true expression of the chef's skill and sourcing! Super Salmon Tartare The super salmon tartare was a standout. Creamy yet bright, layered with seared salmon toro, bursts of salmon roe, crisp nori, and sushi rice. The balance of richness and acidity made this dish incredibly satisfying and easy to devour. This was such a great and fun experience to assembly your own sushi handroll too! Scallop Udon Soup Comfort in a bowl. The broth was deep and flavorful--umami-packed with shoyu, wakame, and green onions. The scallops were soft, sweet, and paired perfectly with the springy udon. A subtle and soulful interlude. Tempura Prawn Lightly battered, golden perfection. The prawns were plump and juicy with a delicate crunch. Dipping them into the warm broth added a cozy, savory touch. Ginza Roll This roll was an explosion of flavors: yellowtail, cucumber, and kaiware, topped with seared yellowtail, avocado, jalapeño, spicy aioli, and squid ink tobiko. Each bite had richness, spice, and texture--from the smoky seared top to the pop of tobiko. A bold and layered dish that really showed off Ginza's creativity. Dessert The finale was a light, refreshing dessert. It tied everything together without being overly sweet--an elegant way to end a rich meal. Overall, this was a beautifully orchestrated tasting menu that showcased technique, premium ingredients, and seasonal expression. The chef clearly takes pride in every detail. If you're looking for an upscale sushi experience in San Francisco without the formality of omakase, Ginza Sushi & Sake is a hidden gem worth savoring. Would we come back? Absolutely--especially to see what's in the next Mystery Box!

A high three star like 3.8, but I believe a bit overpriced for alright quality. Atmosphere was very good, and we sat at the bar. Many staff members welcomed us in once we stepped through the door. The gyu steak was underwhelming for us, and we did not have a choice in the rareness of the steak. It was very well done, but we prefer something medium rare. The salmon sashimi was my favorite and reminded me of certain ceviche I've had but with an asian twist with the wakame and sesame. Blue fin tataki was alright but my preference would be to sear the fish less cooked with a hotter sear so only the outside gets cooked. Still a solid meal with friendly staff and nice ambiance. I don't see myself visiting a lot but it hit my sushi craving!

Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. Not to mention 1 of my visits was a pickup order and they completely forgot my dressing on the side. All in all, I am very let down by this place. Dare I say I love and prefer it to be Sweet Green. The chicken was cold and not crunchy, and the cornbread crumbles were not crunchy at all, like kind of in between stale and crunchy... weird combo. Peaches and pickled onions were awesome though. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... The saving item was my carrot ginger agua fresca- this was amazing! Loved it, that gets a 5/5. Food is 3/5.

He is African-American with dreads. After collecting the bag from the shelf like he usually does, he was immediately asked to show confirmation of the order on his phone.... The problem? I watched multiple other couriers walk in, pick up orders, and leave without being asked to show any proof. I double parked my car as I saw the interaction with the cashier and my boyfriend from outside. Funny enough, when I went to pick up the bag from the shelves, I was NOT asked to show confirmation but I made it a point to show the employee that I had the confirmation on my phone. That inconsistency speaks for itself. The employee at the register was a Caucasian gentlemen who was bald and was wearing glasses. I understand that employees have policies they have to follow. But if verifying pick up orders is the policy, then apply it to EVERYONE. You do not get to selectively enforce a policy and then expect customers not to notice. The fact that my boyfriend was singled out while multiple other people were not is deeply concerning and felt like racial profiling. I was born and raised in the neighborhood. Literally two blocks away. Me and my family order from this location numerous times which makes this experience even more disappointing. We have supported this establishment repeatedly, only to leave today feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. MIXT needs to do better. Policies should be applied consistently, not based on who walks through the door. You've lost my business. -A very disappointed neighbor

The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
