Sally Hurricane's Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich

Order their Rotisserie chicken! It's a waste to order anything else because that's their specialty and it's just so good. I came with a group of 7, and they were able to seat us pretty quickly. We ordered: A whole rotisserie chicken, the RTR Rice Bowl, the Chicken soup, the fried chicken sandwich, the seared broccoli, the rotisserie fat rice, and the shredded cabbage & almond. Best Dishes: The Rotisserie chicken and the Shredded cabbage & almond. The rotisserie chicken skin is really crispy and delicious, we were all fighting over who gets to eat the skin. The chicken is so juicy, it's really the best rotisserie chicken I've had. We understand why this place is so well regarded. The shredded cabbage is definitely the best side and we should've gotten another order, as we quickly finished ours and were basically licking the bowl clean. Worst: The rotisserie fat rice and the chicken soup. The rice was basically untouched and none of us wanted to eat it. It's ok, just falls short compared to the other sides. The soup was also ok, it's just a huge bowl and it felt like a waste stuffing ourselves with that when there were other better dishes. The rice bowl was pretty good, and is really good value. It's yummy and a good meal for 12.50. It's a very casual place, you order at the cashier and find a table and seat yourself there. Great for a quick lunch.

I was pleasantly surprised by this casual, neighborhood spot. :) The chicken bowl is great! Tender, juicy chicken cooked perfectly - it's almost shredded but not fully. The rice is so tasty - it's the chicken broth rice type (NOT vegetarian). And I liked the garnishes that came with it. There is quite a bit of good seasoning on it, including sesame seeds, dill, etc. so you actually don't really need a sauce in my opinion. I got the chimichurri and it was more sauce-based than the traditional oil-base, which I really liked. I also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and it was a good portion with aioli. For me personally, I thought it was pretty salty. Service is casual - you walk up to the counter, order and get a number. It's quick and easy.

The counter service was great. The food was really tasty as well. I really like their chimichurri sauce and the chicken skin is just perfectly crispy and the chicken is perfect perfectly juicy. I got the half chicken and the side of the sweet potato. Chicken did seem a little small for the $13 or so that it cost barely any meat on the leg, but the breast was reasonable. The sweet potato with the chiming cherry though that was amazing super soft creamy and delicious especially with the Dash a hot sauce on it. Will be coming back here for sure.

We were in the neighborhood looking for a lunch spot and glad we decided to try RT Rotisserie. I got the chicken with rice bowl and my husband got the chicken sandwich, and we added brussels sprouts and a couple of drinks for the table. The brussels sprouts were really good and honestly I still think of them. the rice bowl was a huge meal, easily enough and some more. Fat rice are so flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Really good and healthy as well, a great value meal where you get a lot of quality food without spending much. Glad we tried it.

We came by for a quick lunch after a long walk around Golden Gate Park and the panhandle. This was my first time trying RT Rotisserie but I had heard good things as it's the casual spot associated with Rich Table. I got the chicken salad and shared a side of fried sunchokes with a friend. Loved the sunchokes which were a pretty unique find and tasted like a mix of turnip and potato. Really flavorful and lighter than the usual potato side. The chicken salad was good as well but I found the white meat chicken to be a bit dry. I did really enjoy the sesame dressing and the pickled red onions were a great addition to brighten up the salad. I tried the pork belly as well (my friend got the rice bowl with pork belly) and it was delicious. Super crunchy pork belly chunks, it reminded me of chicharron pieces. Not the healthiest choice but worth the extra calories! Ordering is easy via the kiosk and we got our food quickly. There's bottles of water out and overall a nice spot for a casual meal.

The food at RT rotisserie is beautiful. We got takeout on a Sunday and we were able to park fairly easily. The takeout was ready when we got there which is awesome. The service is great. The bathroom is so clean. The whole vibe in the restaurant is happiness. We got so much food, and the highlights were the fatty rice, the grilled artichoke, the broccoli, the RTR salad, and all the dressings the disappointment was the cabbage salad they used to grill it and it just tasted so much better than it does now everybody loved the lamb and the chicken and it's just so great definite party pleaser.

This is one of my favorite quick casual spots in San Francisco! I recommend the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken is very crispy while also being juicy on the inside. I also really like the house hot sauce! The fries and Brussels sprouts are also tasty! The staff are all friendly here and the service is quick. It's a cozy spot and recommend for a quick bite.

I came here for lunch with my colleagues as it was close by the office, I've had eaten RT before when I had used Uber Eats and remembered that the food was quite delicious, so I recommended it. We walked over, walked in and it's pretty self-serve, order from the counter or have a seat and scan the QR code for you to look through the menu and the food will come to you. Once I ordered, I grabbed a few water bottles and cups, again self-serve but always in stock, and a few minutes later, our food came out. My coworkers had a fried chicken sandwich, which they said was delicious, and another had a half chicken and said it was super juicy. I went with my normal order that I got before and had a chicken bowl with rice, the food was just as I remembered it, tender, flavorful, and the chimichurri sauce on top, perfecto! The ambiance for us was nice and quiet, but then again we came around 1:30pm, so the rush was likely already gone, but it was a good mix of students and workers from around the neighborhood enjoying their meals!

RT is a solid lunch spot that is convenient and reasonably-priced. The menu includes a variety of options, including sandwiches, salads, rice bowls, and sides. You can customize your order by adding/removing toppings and choosing a sauce to pair with your dish (the chimichurri is my go-to). Customer service is friendly and attentive, and I've visited multiple times for solo lunches and to catch up with co-workers. I usually get the rice bowl with chicken, and it's quite filling and tasty. They top it off with onions, cabbage, sesame/pumpkin seeds, and add little slices of cucumbers and radish. Their umami fries and seasonal soft serve are pretty great too, but it would be best to split a side or dessert when dining with someone else. Just a note, seating is limited and the tables are pretty close together, which can make it difficult to hear/make conversation. It's quite busy and loud during peak lunch time, so the line can be long too. However, I enjoy stopping by and dining here occasionally. The food is good and the service is great too. Probably worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for a good lunch spot with various entrees/sides.

RT Rotisserie was having a great deal on DoorDash so I got this for lunch on a work day. What I ordered: + Rice Bowl with Lamb [3.5/5] + Umami Fries [5/5] The rice bowl was personally for me cold, dry, and had a weird ratio of rice-meat-veggie. The lamb was dry and sweet, which I'm not used to for lamb at least. I wish the rice bowl had an accompanying sauce to help flavor the rice. I would probably not order again. The umami fries were possibly the best fries I've had in the city. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and full of mashed potato on the inside. I ordered a side of mayo, and that pretty much sealed the deal. I might try to dine in person and try other dishes next time. :)

Every thing was as good as the last. They have a pretty extensive menu I wanted to try it all. Sadly I had to settle for Hot and Sour Soup, Wonton soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, Chicken Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, (8Pcs) Pork Dumpling with Sesame Sauce and Red Chili Oil (6Pcs), Numb & spicy pork Bao, Green Onion Pancake, (Sweet) Red Bean Paste Pockets. We had it family style. The 3 of us shared it all. There was plenty to go around. None of us left hungry. I can't even pick a favorite. Maybe the numb and spicy which wasn't that spicy. It was just so good and flavorful. The soup dumplings were amazing. So much perfect flavor. They held together until the bite. So good. The hot and sour soup was plenty tasty. Not the best I've ever had but certainly among the best. The only thing I will say is that one of my companions can't have seaweed. The wonton soup was amazing but full of seaweed. It wasn't listed on the menu and we have never had seaweed in any other wonton soup so didn't know to ask if it could be left out. That was sad. All she could do was have a tiny spoon of the broth to taste it. The green onion pancake was very good. The red bean paste pockets use the same dough but filled with sweet red bean paste. They were a perfect way to end the meal. Next time I'm in the city I will visit again. Loved it all. It was worth taking the time to visit and eat there.

The restaurant can be a little hidden, but it's pretty easy to find with the instructions they send before your reservation. It's located above Fermentation Lab. Just head up the stairs and you'll find it inside the old Ichi Pub space. The restaurant is small and intimate, with only 9 seats at the counter. When you arrive, walk through the Yuji curtain and check in directly with the chef since there is no host. My biggest concern with set menus is always whether I'll feel satisfied and full afterward, but that was definitely not an issue here. My husband and I were both very satisfied after the meal. Every dish was delicious, and you could really taste the quality of each ingredient. Highlights for me were the bluefin sashimi, which was so buttery and soft that it literally melted in your mouth. The skillfish was rich and decadent, and the citrus and ginger balanced the flavors. The fried fish was another favorite as it reminded me of the savory Japanese rice crackers I loved growing up. Since it's located in Japantown, parking can be challenging. We had to loop around several times looking for street parking and even had two cars take spots we were waiting for, so definitely give yourself extra time before your reservation. I would highly recommend this place! The chef changes the menu periodically based on what's in season, so it's a great excuse to come back and try something new in the future. We decided to explore the nearby area and found this Thai restaurant with outdoor seating, which was perfect for us and our dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the menu was intriguing. We ordered the Thai spicy egg noodle soup, green papaya salad, and Thai drunken noodles with seafood. Each dish was delicious, but the spicy noodle soup stood out as our favorite--one of the best noodle soups we've had in a while. To conclude our meal, we ordered the Thai coconut milk dessert, Ka-nom-tuay, served in a little porcelain cup. It was equally delightful. My husband and I were so impressed with the food that we're already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

It's been a while since I traveled through Southeast Asia, but memories of Bangkok's legendary…read morestreet food still linger. The aroma of sizzling skewers over charcoal grills and soothing fragrance of lemongrass, Thai basil, and kaffir lime leaves drifting through the warm evening air. The rhythmic clatter of woks, the organized chaos of street vendors creating unforgettable meals from kitchens no bigger than a parking space. Oh...how I've longed to go back. And then, while walking the streets of San Francisco...I stumbled upon Bangkok Street Thai Street Food. No passport. No jet lag....Just an empty stomach and a healthy appetite. Our meal began with the Chicken Satay, and what a way to start. The chicken was beautifully grilled, tender, and lightly charred around the edges. But the real star was the silky peanut sauce paired with the bright cucumber relish. Rich, nutty, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced with a refreshing crunch, it was the kind of appetizer that makes everyone at the table quietly reach for "just one more skewer." Next came the Green Curry. One thing I appreciate is that they let you choose your own level of heat. Whether you prefer a gentle warmth or a full Thai spice adventure, the kitchen happily accommodates. Beneath the spice was a wonderfully creamy coconut curry layered with fresh herbs and deep aromatic flavors that made every spoonful comforting yet vibrant. Then came the dish no Thai meal should ever be without...Pad Thai. Simple on paper, difficult to master and Bangkok Street gets it right. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly--not too soft, not too firm--and coated in a beautifully balanced tamarind sauce that delivered the ideal combination of sweetness, acidity, and savory depth. Every bite kept inviting the next, to the point where ordering a second plate actually seemed like a perfectly reasonable life decision. Somewhere between the satay, the curry, and the Pad Thai...something unexpected happened. We completely forgot to take pictures! Not one. No overhead food shots. No "wait, don't touch it yet" moments. No social media evidence that we were ever there. That's usually the highest compliment I can give a restaurant. When the food is so good that everyone forgets about their phones, you know the kitchen has everyone's full attention. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But the flavors at Bangkok Street Thai Street Food create a culinary memory that lasts far longer than anything saved to your camera roll. Overall: 4 stars. Fresh ingredients, beautifully balanced flavors, thoughtful spice levels, and comforting Thai classics prepared with care. From the outstanding Chicken Satay and fragrant Green Curry to a Pad Thai that showcases the magic of a well-crafted tamarind sauce, Bangkok Street Thai Street Food captures the spirit of Bangkok one delicious plate at a time. Come hungry...and Go Big!!!
