We came ftom SF to visit my daughter's family and she wanted us to all meet at Ginzaya. Parking was plentiful. On a Tuesday evening, we arrived around 6:15pm and was seated quickly for a party of 4 adults, infant, and 4 years old child. The dining room was fairly filled and clean. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with ordering our food. We ordered several bento boxes and sushi plates. The food was fresh and tasty. The portions were large which we took home. Our the food was severed within 20 minutes. We were amazed how our waitress was able to cover several tables . The restroom both men's and women's rooms were clean. The waitress was so kind that she severed use ice cream which the kids loved. It was nice that the staff all said bye! It felt nice as if we were family. I recommend this place. read more

I've been here a few times over the past years. The first time was ages ago and it was nothing to write home (or Yelp) about. About a year ago friends took my mom and they said it was great. So next time I joined them and it was a lot better. It steadily gets better every time. We went this past weekend with friends. We just needed something close to the La Mirada Theater because we had tickets for a show that night. This time it was really great. I'm not big on fish but everyone else raved about the collar. The order of ribs was huge. The bento boxes were very full of wonderful things. There was large portions and reasonable prices. The service was really good. They were busy but still trying to take care of everyone. The place is cute. Bright and pleasant. Hopefully this trend stays and it can be my new goto for Japanese food. read more

Came here for an early dinner before movie we were going to watch next door. Food was decent not the best but not the worst. The chicken here for their chicken teriyaki is really tasty. The one complaint I do have is their service. When we arrived most of the tables were getting ready to pay and go and once they left there wasn't many people to attend to so it's pretty annoying to have to ask for water with no ice and still get ice. I ask again when there is less people and still didn't get just plain water no ice. The ladies were going back n forth on something it I don't know what they were saying but they appeared to be pretty distracted. I would still give this place a try if I'm ever in the area. They are located in a perfect spot next to a nice movie theater. I would definitely recommend coming here to eat and then catching a movie. read more

The menu is interesting. Lots of choices...there is something for everyone. With 4, we ordered the Lakers sushi bridge. You can pick 6 rolls plus comes with cucumber salad, edamame, tempura, miso soup. The food was very tasty! My main complaint is the rice was soft. The rolls did not hold its shape it made it challenging to eat...but once in my mouth I didn't care! Worth noting the "bridge" is really a boat...it's about the details! Teriyaki beef was flavorful. Really enjoyed all the sides! Overall good experience. It's the perfect meal prior to going to the La Mirada Theater! read more

Decent food, but got food poisoning from eating only chicken katsu and rice. Called the establishment to make them aware of it and they simply told me to go to the doctor and their insurance would cover the bill (at least that what I understood from what I was told). I did not expect a reimbursement, but I wanted them to be aware of cross contamination or undercooking of their food. As another note, the bathrooms seemed quite sub-par as well; they seemed like something you would expect to see in a Dollar Tree, not a sushi place. read more

I decided to come here right before my movie. I was hungry and craving a beer, so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a cast beer and a sushi/sashimi combo. The beer was nice and cold and the sushi was very fresh. I enjoyed every single bite. It was a lot of food but I was able to finish just about everything. I had about four pieces of the California roll left. The service was really nice. Both servers took good care of me and made sure my needs were fulfilled. And at the end of the dining experience, I was given a little alcoholic treat: dessert shot. That was very nice of them to do that. I really appreciated it. Very kind and considerate service! I came here with a friend last Tuesday night for dinner around 7pm. There weren't too many people inside so we were seated right away and got settled with water, utensils and menus. The restaurant is cute and calm as the lighting is soft and has Japanese style partitioners that add to the vibe. I ordered a La Mirada roll and my friend ordered a different roll, both of which were presented very nicely, it is clear that the sushi chefs pay attention to what they are putting out! The waitress we had was consistently checking that we had water and if we needed anything else. When we came in and left, the waiters and even sushi chefs were all so kind to welcome us in and greet us on the way out! I recently discovered this amazing sushi restaurant and it quickly became my favorite :) Their rolls are, hands down, the best--I'm obsessed with the baked salmon roll I also frequently order sushi, and my favorites are the 'I Love Salmon Sushi' and 'Hokkaido Scallop.' You can really tell they only use fresh, high-quality ingredients. When I sat at the sushi bar, the chef even showed me the whole fish they had just received that day!!! Super cool candy tasted very yummy. The guy that is in front of me makes the sushi right in front of you and he's very nice to. There are a lot of options to choose from varying from Mexican rolls to a dragon plate! The restaurant is rarely full but there is a lot of space. The tiny soups they give you as a appetizer is also very good. I got the crunchy roll and baked salmon roll they are both very delicious and a good size for sharing.
