We stopped by Giordano's during our trip to Chicago. We ordered the traditional thin-crust pizza, and overall, it was good. The toppings and flavor were enjoyable, but I found the crust to be a little thicker and breadier than I typically prefer. Service was good, and everything came out as expected. I'm glad we tried. The pizza was good, just not memorable enough for me to go out of my way to have it again. That said, if you're visiting Chicago it's worth experiencing for yourself.

Very busy inside with lots of tourists but it's a well-oiled machine. Trying authentic Chicago deep dish was a must for this trip and Giordano's was recommended by a local. I'm not a deep dish person but I do love trying new things. It is the most pie-like pizza pie I have had.

Best pizza in Chicago! We had the spinach and cheese and double pepperoni, deep dish. Amazing... Also bad the fried calamari I wish it would've just been calamari and not banana peppers and others, but it was good. Also had the triangle mozzarella. All very good.

This place was recommended by almost every person we told we were coming to Chicago. Our waiter Chris was a nice fella, super accommodating. We built 2 pizza. They have a lunch special til 3pm daily of a 6" personal with fries or salad or something. $10.99. My 12 year old got it. The two pizza we built were all over the place so I want try to explain. The atmosphere was very much like an All American style restaurant. Loud, lots of people chatting, TVs and a bar. Oh we got Mozzarella triangles. Tasty. Had to be real mozzarella. They were good. Garlic Parmesan fries were good. Initially was gonna go with mid but nah they hit. Fries came out quick. Well before the pizza. Our pizzas were all deep dish Chicago style joints. Food takes a long time to come. The pizza was good. I'd recommend this spot but today is day 1. Imma get Chicago pizza somewhere else and compare. The lunch special is premade and doesn't have the same quality. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are in a time crunch.

The Special - Deep Dish

My friend and I got the special deep dish pizza to share and it fulfilled my expectations. Most everyone that has recommended me deep dish in Chicago prefer Lou's but I actually liked Gio's better. It was so filling, cheesy, thick, and soft. The crust was perfect. The portion was huge of course, but it was nice to have leftovers. Service was good.

Classic ambiance with flavorful food! One of the best deep dish pizzas I've had. Service was prompt and gave great recommendations.

Alicia was our server and she was great. We were warned that our wait would be 30-40 minutes so we ordered a salad as appetizer and it was very fresh. Pizza came out and was delicious

ANNA WAS TEAAAA 10/10 service ! Knew the menu down , had great suggestions and great pleasant personality.

During our visit to Chicago we had to try the famous deep dish pizza . There were so many locations to choose from however, we walked from the Willis Tower this location. When we arrived the hostess stated there was going to be a long wait due to not placing a reservation. We placed a reservation while in the lobby and we only waited about 10 minutes tops. The restaurant was very busy and lively. We were seated and immediately took in the atmosphere. The chefs were preparing the pizza dough like in a movie. Our waiter definitely had a New Yorker accent although he stated he never been to New York before. Now onto the Pizza: We ordered the deep dish pizza along with wings and salad. The pizza took 20-30 minutes before it came out and boy it was worth the wait. That pizza was super cheesy and absolutely delicious. I would back to Chicago for this pizza alone. 10/10.

Drink specials. I had the Windy City Punch for breakfast!

I'm in love. Absolutely incredible deep dish pizza and even better service. We were staying at a hotel just down the street and originally ordered the pizza for pickup. But the moment we walked into the restaurant, the smell alone made the decision for us so we had to eat it right then and there. The staff didn't miss a beat. They happily unpackaged our order, plated it, and made us feel completely welcome to dine in on the spot. The deep dish was everything you want it to be: rich, cheesy, perfectly baked, and worth every minute of the wait. As a bonus, since we stayed, we got to enjoy a couple of their specialty cocktails, which were fantastic and paired perfectly with the meal. What started as a simple pickup turned into one of the highlights of our trip. If you're even remotely close, this place is a must

We got the calamari and the signature deep dish pizza (sausage and green peppers). The flavors were good but I thought the crust would be a crispy shell and a soft bread but it was just cardboard bread. It's a good pizza if you REALLY like mozzarella cheese, otherwise just get their regular pizza.

The deep dish pizza is tasty. The deep dish pizza takes 40 to 45 mins to cook, so keep that in mind when visiting. The service was sloppy and slow. Saw a number of people working, but only a few taking orders. Our server was borderline rude and never checked back on us after taking the order. The ambience is okay but the place has a chain restaurant kinda feel. Nothing unique or special. Overall good pizza, sloppy management. Try Uno or Lou Malnati instead.

I have been to this Giordanos a handful of times and the staff has been great every single time. From the moment I walk in the door and am directed to the proper party room to keeping everybody well stocked on soft drinks, water, salad, pizza, pasta, and dessert. The chopped salad was extra delicious this last visit. I must admit I did add a slice of feta cheese to it from the other salad option. This visit, too, I got to try their new tavern style pizza! The crunch was great, but the oven burnt part of the pizza to the point the crust was black. The views of the city from the windows are gorgeous. Giordano's pizza has more cheese than other pizzas that I have eaten. Despite the cheese being loaded up, the pizza has good flavor and is not overly salty. The pasta with the spicy sausage chunks was extra delicious this visit and I went back for more! The desserts are standard--brownies and chocolate chip cookies--and a nice treat after the savory entrees, but not something I would go out of my way for. Overall, I have had some fun here with friends!

I will note that we ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes before actually being seated and the pizzas have up to an hour wait if the restaurant is busy, so we actually got our pizza at about 9:30 PM. Cheese Corners: Some extremely standard triangle shaped cheese bites. Did come out piping hot with a good crunch and cheese stretch, which was nice, but definitely felt like a Sysco-esque appetizer. Deep Dish Pizza: The crust actually had almost a nice crisp at the bottom and a ton of cheese. Tomato sauce had amount of sweetness and they're very generous with the toppings. Overall, if you don't go crazy on the toppings, it's a solid deal and definitely a top tier deep dish experience. Just make sure you have a reservation and that you aren't in a rush.

They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.

I got there and there was about 15 people in front of me in line. The hostess was really nice and because I was there by myself, she called up to the bar to see if there was any seats at the bar so I didn't have to wait. I found out that Chicago style pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook, but I was willing to wait. After about an hour I asked where the pizza was, and they said "we lost it". Although I was disappointed that I had waited so long , they were accommodating and apologetic, and took ownership, which I really respected and appreciated. They said they could get me another pizza quicker than 45 minutes, so in total I waited about an hour and a half. They asked me if there's any appetizers I wanted for free or drinks and because I didn't wanna fill up before my pizza and I had already had a salad , I declined. The pizza came out and it was absolutely delicious. Was it worth the wait? Because I didn't have anything else that evening for a while that I needed to do, it was worth it.
