Came here with family a few weeks ago; we were really hungry, and wanted something better than fast food. We were seated right away, and our orders were taken a few minutes later. The waitress let us know that the pizzas would take 45 minutes to an hour before they were ready, and was really helpful answering questions, as one of our party is allergic to almost everything. It was kInd of a long wait; maybe their oven capacity isn't large enough? We didn't care because the time flew by. We got the Spinach Feta and Artichoke on a gluten-free crust, and a regular Meat and more Meat. Both were really good, but we thought the prices were a bit high (but these days, that's true everywhere!). I would have liked to try a deep dish, but was glad I didn't- I ended up being happily full instead of bloated! read more

It's nice to eat at a restaurant today. Social distancing is in effect here. The servers wore masks and customers are seated very far apart. Currently, there are 5 tables that are being used. The restaurant is VERY clean! Now for the food...We ordered the house salad and a stuffed pizza a.k.a. "The Special." We started with the house salad, which was delicious! It consisted of spring greens, romaine and arugula lettuce, baby tomatoes, shaved fennel, and shaved Asiago cheese toppled with a yummy lemon vinaigrette. I ate two plates and feel not one ounce of guilt. The special is a sausage, mushroom, green peppers and onion stuffed pizza. I took out the sausage and ordered my side without mushrooms. Talk about good! I haven't eaten a stuffed pizza here in the Chicago area in ages. It's great to be back. Unfortunately, I could only eat one slice of pizza because I am overstuffed. Ladaris, our server, was awesome. Excellent service with a friendly and professional demeanor. She's another reason I plan to return to this location. The recording before you get a rep to order says great service. You do NOT get great service. The person answering the phone has horrible customer service. She should not be answering the phone. My husband had to wait another 20 minutes and he ordered an hour in advance. The appetizers made my stomach hurt within an hour. I sent them for lunch with my husband and he said the same thing without me saying anything. The pizza was not cooked all the way. We got a deep dish and had to toast it in a pizza oven. We spent 40.00 and will never go back to this location. The pizza was the same way last time and we thought we would give it another try because we Love Giordano's deep dish. A couple of weeks ago the pizza I ordered was extremely salty. The manager placed a credit on my phone number for the pizza to be remade. When I ordered the pizza today (3/12/23), the manager on duty charged me the tax for the remake. The tax was not very much; however, I should not have been charged tax for a remake. Ordered the "Special" sausage,mushrooms,green peppers and onions ...deep dish of course. Added a house salad. Do to Covid salad selection is either a Ceaser or House salad...still 2 good choices to pick from. We are able to dine in with spacing and customer traffic is directed ...see the floor arrows. You need to bring and wear a mask coming in but can remove once seated. The salad came relatively quick. Tossed greens, romaine hearts, tomatoes with a lemon vinaigrette and shaved asiago...very good!!!The Special was just that...hot and fresh not dry...just enough cheese sauce. I was in Chicago to pick up parts for my summer car, and what do you have when your in Chicago.. Deep Dish Pizza!. I had asked a buddy who lives there and said, where is the place for Deep Dish pizza, and they automatically suggested Giordano's. I then looked for a location that was close by the shop I was getting my parts form and this location popped up. It looks like a fairly new place inside a nice strip mall. After reading about how long it takes to order pizza, I told my buddy who came with me, We should go and eat now because by the time we order and get our pizza, we will be very hungry. We order the meat lovers type of pizza and our server suggested we get an App because it would take about 45 minutes to get our pizza. I'm not sure which app we got, but it was on small slices of bread with tomato on top that was tossed in a very wonderful sauce. When our pizza finally arrives,, and boy it was amazing. Lots of cheese and lots of meat in the pizza it self. Felt like they used like couple pounds of cheese. Very much worth what we paid. This place would have gotten 5 stars if our server was more attentive and followed up with us more often than she did. My pop did go empty a few times and had to ask for refill once, I wanted a second refill but our server was no where to be found. Other then that, I will be returning to Giordano's. It might not be this exact location but most defiently a Giordano's when I'm in Chicago again. read more

I admit that I am a New York style pizza person. However, I am open to a stuffed deep dish every once in a while. The individual 6 inch is four slices. It was plenty enough but I ordered a Greek salad just in case it wasn't. Previous reviews talk about the wait time and service. The menu states it takes about 40 minutes to craft a deep dish. My pizza was small so it only took about 30 minutes. The restaurant was not busy with dine in customers but the take out stand was constantly busy with phone orders and pick ups. I didn't have an issue because I planned to go to a local store to shop while waiting for my to-go order. I ordered a sausage mushroom and garlic stuffed/deep dish. It was fine. Sauce was good. I can't judge the crust because the deep dish is a different animal but I definitely appreciate that it wasn't just a pizza with a 1 inch thick crust. The stuffed aspect lets me appreciate the toppings as opposed to being stuffed by bread. I wouldn't change much if I were to visit again. read more

WOW. I've never had a deep dish stuffed pizza before and I am so happy that this was my first one. The pizza was baked fresh it took 45 min!! So plan to order ahead of time! I stopped by here on my road trip to California and with SO MANY pizza places to choose from we landed on this spot because there are so many locations that we didn't have to go deep into the city. Went to this giordano's for lunch yesterday and was not impressed. As soon as I walked in the front door, the entranceway was dirty and dusty. When I got up to the counter, the server was semi polite. I ordered a lunch special consisting of a personal thin crust pizza and a side of fries. I asked after placing my order for an eta on the foid so I could plan my next work pick up. I was told it would be about thirty-five minutes. After twenty minutes, I went back inside to wait for my food. I waited another half an hour, and in that time, my fries were brought up to the front and left sitting in a bag on a shelf to get cold. When i finally got the hostess' attention to point out that my food had been sitting there, she had to go into the kitchen and come back five minutes later with my pizza. After getting all my food, I went back to my truck to eat my lunch. My fries were still semi warm, and the pizza was hot like it just came out of the oven. Overall, the pizza was very good. The fries were ok, and the service was lacking. I might go back again, but not likely. read more

For my first time trying chicago style pizza, Giordano's did not disappoint. In fact, It surprised me. I ordered with low expectations, sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers. The flavors blended together very well, although I wish I had less bites that I felt were lacking in sauce. I was so disappointed. My salad was wilted. The menu on the house salad does not say a ton of onions but there where. I ordered a custom pizza because I can not eat onions. The waitress did not write down my order. I was told about 25 minutes into my wait time my waitress went home sick. Once again nothing you ever want to hear. My pizza came almost an hour after I ordered and yes it was loaded with onions. When I told them they said sorry we can take the extra charge off the bill. Came inside to sit down and order a deep dish pizza and we were DENIED SERVICE!!! ‍‍ The hostess sat us at a table and we sat there for 15 mins without getting drink orders and eventually she came back over and told us that they aren't serving any pizza..... She said that they were backed up on deliveries so they can't serve SITTING PAYING customers!!! Then was rude about the situation because we were questioning her. So we decided to leave and called LOU MALNATIS and ordered a deep dish pizza from them.. last time (and i think first time) i had giordanos was last july and thought it was kinda mediocre. but i was in the area with my bf and friend and our first choice of restaurant didn't work out, and my bf is a sucker for giordanos so we stopped here! nicky was our server and she was delightful!!! and i actually really liked the pizza this time! we got a medium thin crust half cheese & spinach / half sausage & something else i forget.. doesn't matter cuz the spinach half was mine and i think i ate all of it myself LOL my friend also got the fettuccini alfredo and said it was really good! 10/10 would give giordanos another chance again read more

Who doesn't love some good Chicago pizza! I know I do! Recently while visiting the area, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in for a visit. Now! I will admit... I am not a fan of thick, deep dish pizza! Way too much dough for me. However, I do enjoy a good, freshly baked pizza with an array of toppings. We chose a thin crust pizza (chicken sausage and spinach) and a chopped salad minus the bacon. Okay! The salad was the bomb! It was soooo good that I got home and attempted to recreate it on my own. The pizza was pretty tasty! Crispy around the edges just like I like it! Overall, the service was good as well as the food. I will definitely return in the future. The reason for the four star rating? The bathroom was not up to par. The restaurant wasn't crowded so you would think that someone would have been assigned bathroom duties. read more
