My wife craved a Giordanos deep dish pizza Saturday night. She tried calling to order but no answer so she decided to place the order on line which wasn't an easy task. Anyway our pizza was supposed to be ready at 9 pm , two hours after placing the order. I decided to stop by at 8:30 to check on my pizza and to my surprise it was ready. I picked up the pizza and went home. When we opened the box the pizza was stuck to the cardboard and the only explanation is it had been sitting in the warmer at least half an hour prior. So my complaint is about the app they are using, it gives false timing for pick up. My advise to the management is to improve the app to give more precise timing to get a fresher pizza. read more

This review is for the food only. The host/greeter was great and our waitress was nice but we didn't come to Giordano's to socialize with them. We came to eat. If I wanted to waste $100, I could have just thrown it in the fire. Let start with the drink order. My girlfriend and I came with our guys here. We both had the sangria that was horrible. It tasted like some weak seltzer water. We sent them back. I asked about the margaritas since they were on special and the waitress told us they was not good. A lot of people who had ordered them had sent them back. I'm not a drinker but I wanted an alcoholic drink. So I ordered an old fashioned. I figured it would be simple to make. All I tasted was bourbon and water. Nothing else. My friend ordered a blue mutha fukk er aka a long island iced tea that was blue. HORRIBLE!. When we asked what was going on with the drinks, the waitress told us they didn't have a regular bartender. I don't think they had any bartender. That's something that's needs to be looked into. I mean hell, I can make a good margarita and I'm no bartender. I ordered fries and a house salad. The house salad with the lemon vinaigrette was delicious! They gave me a half empty bowl of fries, although the fries were good. My friends said that was the worst pizza they ever had. They ordered a thin crust with sausage, pepperoni and spinach. The spinach was the last topping put on the pizza so it had burnt on the ends. Even I know that when making pizza, after the sauce the spinach goes on and then the cheese. Not the other way. Who trained these folks to make pizza?! This place was a disaster! If you're looking to have some horrible and crummy food go here. read more

Last night's visit was not the best. Drinks were good, water on request, chopped chicken salad was ok. We ordered my fave, a spinach stuffed pizza, and our server said it would take 45 minutes. No problem, but an hour passed, then our server returned to explain that the special pizza was made instead of the spinach! We declined the special (sausage, pepper, onion and mushroom). We also declined a thin crust spinach pizza (just not the same), and by this time we surely did not want to wait another 45 minutes for the correct pizza! In fairness, the manager comped the drinks and gave us a gift card for our next visit. We settled the check for the salad and stopped for sliders on the way home. Disappointing. read more

Giordano's just happened to be what popped up when I searched pizza upon our arrival to Chicagoland. We were staying in Worth. They had amazing reviews and we needed to have a real Chicago pizza. We got the Meatlovers Deep Dish. I have never liked deep dish pizza in California. But, I realized it's because they do it WRONG! This pizza was phenomenal! Meaty, cheesy, fully cooked through! (Haha, this is where California has failed me in the past). When my uncle saw I was in Chicago, he messaged me that I HAD TO HAVE Giordano's pizza at least once! We'd already found them, but I figure that means this company will be there next time we make it out! We were able to get classic margarita pizza for my vegetarian sister-in-law, and a Caesar salad. Restaurant was great. Took the family for dinner after running around all day. Got the kids a large Sausage Pizza with drinks. I got minestrone soup with spaghetti and meatballs ! Came here with my family yesterday. We were a party of 7 and the wait was less than 15 mins since they had to put 2 table together for us. We ordered some red sangria and it was okay but it tasted watered down and it definitely lacked actual chopped fruit. They only added lemon and lime slices with some maraschino cherries. This sangria was definitely lacking flavor. This is the first bad sangria I've had at a restaurant. There's definitely a need for some improvement. Pizza was good and fresh as always. read more

Really bad service today. We ordered a thin crust barbecue pizza and our waiter first acted judgmental about our order and then brought out a deep dish barbecue which is not what we had asked for. When he served water he exclaimed something and sprayed spittle into the water, making none of us want to drink water. We had to wait a very long time to get our correct order. The server plopped down the pizza, with no offer to serve the first piece. Maybe this is a good thing since we didn't want the extra ingredient of his saliva. He did not offer refills on drinks and gave no sort of compensation for the extra time we had to wait. I can't imagine going back to this Giordano's though it is the most convenient due to location. read more

Stuffed pizza usually gets me to post right away. This time was no different. I came here on a Saturday to celebrate my mom's 66th birthday after a day of shopping at Macy's down he block. The staff was nice and the place was not super busy, so I am hoping they are this attentive all the time. Our waitress was so attentive and very kind. While I went to wash my hands I informed her of my mom's birthday today and she said, "Oh we will give her something of a song and dessert if that's okay", mind you I was going to give them a cake that I had left in the car, but this was also nice. I made sure that I tipped them extremely well since this was so last minute and I appreciated the whole fact that they were willing to do this. As always the pizza was really good and the appetizers, for the price I paid, I think we did good. Their dining room is really clean and again I can't stress the fact that they are so attentive, this is a plus in any establishment. One thing I did notice though, some of the items are different. In one of the photos I noticed that they're cheese sticks are regular, but they are now triangle shaped. Not sure if that's really a good thing since I like to reminisce of the way things "use" to be. They also seemed to of drowned them in sauce, which before, I would get the choice of dipping them. I've eaten at Giordano's since the 90's. The pizza is still decent but they use so much Parmesan that it over powers the pizza. The derp dish can be a bit watery and the crust can be a bit soggy at times. The location is clean and service is good. read more
