Ok, This will bee my 7th Giordionos location I have visited in the Chicago metro area :) We arrived here at 8 PM and our server was absolutely gracious to all of our needs! I was hesitant to order a deep dish pizza, since I no longer eat pork, so I was very surprised they now have a chicken sausage :) Trust me, when I say this, I could not tell the difference with the flavor of the chicken sausage! I got the flavor of a Giordanos without the pork...wonderful :) I like Lou Malnaties pizza also, but after eating here, I will switch back to Giordianos as my leader for now ;) I have no complaints to report from this location. Noise level was average and the wait time was right around 45 minutes(standard for deep dish). Also, salad appetizer was very fresh and was not overpowered with salad dressing. Recently moved in the area. Gave the orland location several tries. I understand a longer wait for a deep dish pizza but an hour and 30 minutes for the pizza I received is unacceptable this hasn't been a one time thing. The last 4 or 5 pizzas have been cold. Let me tell you about this place. First , the Margarita was tasty. The perfect end to a long day. The Calamari was crispy, but tender with the perfect amount of lemon zest. Even the Marinara was hot. Love that. Deep Dish Pizza ... make sure you order a small, because there is a lot going on there. Deep dish slices equal 2x Cali slices. But the Highlite of the night, Claudia! She was the truth. My party received no refills on our drinks and barely even saw our server. When our food arrived, we were not served the first slice like we saw every other table in the place was. Giordanos Orland Park is a pizzeria that is home to "Famous Stuffed Pizza". A recent visit on a Sunday late afternoon went like this. Walking in the host advised us that the wait was 20 minutes, there was only two in our party, we decided to wait. The host did advise us that we could place our order before our table was ready to help shorten the wait time from when were seated til our pizza would be ready. We declined, with other pizzerias within walking distance we were ready to go elsewhere. Asking if there was a bar, we were told that there was but there is no bartender. However while contemplating, our table was ready, just that quick. Not sure how the wait went from 20 minutes to maybe 7, maybe. As we were seated we knew why there was no bartender, but more on that later. We were led to a table near the bar and within view of the television. Our server walked past stating that she would be with us in a minute. (Personally I dislike when a server does that, look I get it most likely you don't have one table or even if you do, there are tasks you need to do, I get it. Specifically the issue I have is that when you walk past the table you don't stop and say that you'll be with me in a minute, but rather, you say it as you walk past so fastly that before I know what you even said your gone, it happens so fast that I don't even see you, ask you a question or catch your name, look I know your coming, I have patience, I can wait). Checking out the decor, the dining room looks updated and clean with a color combination that feels warm and inviting. While waiting for our food, we had time to look at the bar, yes look, because no one is sitting at said bar. Not because you can't, the bar was just more of an afterthought noone will be meeting you at the bar, noone is going to wait in the bar, the bar was more of a walk in closet sized small area with 6 taps 1 well and maybe room for two people behind the bar, with no tv behind the bar its safe to say, there is no bar. We reviewed the menu and were ready to order once the server came. Pizza of course was the choice, a medium sausage with onions, mushrooms, and spinach was the order. Soup, minestrone for me and a salad for my guest, were delivered quickly, the soup was warm, not hot which I prefer hot soup, the salad looked like lettuce, covered in Ceaser's dressing. The staff was quick to remove the empty plate and bowl and refill the drinks. Here comes the pizza, the server did ask if she could serve us which I elected for, if I wanted to serve myself thats what carryout was for. The pizza was hot, the spinach was fresh, the mushrooms were mushrooms and the onions were well chopped into pieces that were not too big nor small. Ever get a pizza and the onions are too big to easily manage and you think to yourself, "why isn't this onion cut into smaller pieces?" That wont be an issue here. The pizza was just what I wanted, very good pizza. As we had noticed during our stay, there were a plentiful amount of employees, it seemed as if everyone had a job to do and did it well. The blonde hair girl with glaases looked like she was having fun and always had a smile on her face. There was a young man with kinda messy but not sloppy looking hair who had a table who was sitting at the table by the tv, who was rather, how should I put this, rather demanding of him. However he kept his cool, he didn't roll his eyes that I saw at least nor mumble under his breath as he walked away from that table of not very nice people time and time again after catering to all of their demands. Nice job everyone, you do your jobs well even when your crazy busy and kept calm doing so, you made my experience a pleasant one. When we left for the evening the staff who was waiting behind the counter in front of the kitchen was nice enough to thank us for coming. I will definitely return, the pizza was very good, but however a wait time that I was told was 20 minutes almost made us leave, I'm glad we waited. read more

I visited this location this afternoon as part of a pamper day for myself. I was greeted by Antoine promptly seated right away. My server, Ms. Michelle, was attentive and kind. Her smile was welcoming and she spoke with compassion. She made recommendations when I was uncertain what I wanted to order, and made sure I had 2 options to try with my salad in case I didn't like the one that came with it. She continuously checked on me, which was most appreciated since I was dining alone. I asked to speak to the manager, because I really wanted him to know how amazing of a server she was. Often times customers only ask to speak to the managers to complain - but in this case, I was excited to share with the manager, Cedric, about my experience. I had a horrible experience yesterday. I ordered online because I knew that I would be traveling a distance to pick up my order. However though, when I picked up my order unbeknowningly, I actually picked up someone else's order. The girl at the counter who retrieved my order from the warmer repeated the order back to me so very perfectly. Therefore, I felt confident that what she said matched what was in the box.....but my mistake. It wasn't until I made it home that I realized an error had been made. So, I called to inform them of the issue, and I was interrogated as if I was lying. The person who answered the call (which sounded like the same girl who gave me the wrong order) very incompetently states, "I will need to talk to my manager." Talk to the manager about what?? You all made the mistake, so what would it hurt for you all to be more apologetic and just remake the order, instead of making your guess feel any type of negative way about the experience. Therefore, I drove the distance back to the location, hungry, and in rage to return this wrong order. I had my sister go in to return the pizza and request my refund because I knew my spirit wasn't right to talk to this front counter. Nitwit again. My sister requested the refund, and she was told that I had to wait 3-5 business days for it to appear on my bank card. Okay, that is expected. However though, no accountability was offered, and no sincere apology was render....which is really sad. During this season of inflation, people are working too hard for their coins and gas money to be treated unfairly and made to feel like a criminal for a mistake that was unnecessary. Lesson to self, though, I will never trust anyone, I will always check my food before leaving any establishment. And, I WILL NEVER PATRON THIS PARTICULAR FACILITY AGAIN. They add an automatic gratuity. This is not mentioned on the menu or the bill you receive. If I had not remembered my itemized subtotal before I received the final bill with the tax and gratuity already I added I likely would have given them an additional 20%. This business is shady.
