So I almost gave up on Giordano's pizza because of the terrible service I received at the location near Skokie, but I was 5 hours early for my flight and decided to make one last stop before heading home to LA. I was seated at the bar and was welcomed by Jenna. I told her about my experience about the Skokie location and wanted to see if she could redeem and rectify Giordano's name in my book. I asked her what her recommendations were and she said the supreme and the chicken sausage and spinach. So I ordered a small deep dish. Half and half. I also ordered the Wisconsin cheese curds, because I don't know when's the next time I'll be in the area. The cheese curds were a light golden brown, perfect little crunchy, bouncy tid bits of cheese. I would recommend them. Similar to buffalo mozzarella, but more texture. When the pizza arrived, my heart melted almost as much as the cheese did. Jenna served me my first slice and stole a pizza my heart. The cheese pull game was so strong with this one. The supreme slice was served first. Amazing, deep and rich flavors. Sauce was tomato-ey and not too sweet. The outer crust has a more bready texture than the one at Lou Malnati's. The chicken sausage and spinach was dope too. It wasn't as heavy as the supreme side and the spinach added a little extra texture to the chew. I decided to order a frozen pizza and Jenna was kind enough to get me an insulated pizza carrier to keep my zza cold for my flight home. I might need an asthmatic inhaler after this visit because Jenna's service took my breath away. Left her a 33% tip and bid farewell. Thanks for an amazing last meal in Chicago. Love ya boo read more

We arrived after our flight and wanted something good to eat. I know the big three Lous, Giordano's, and Pequods as places to hit up in Chicago for great pizza. I ordered the thin crust meatball and garlic pizza. And it was ok. The crust wasn't really thin. It was actually kind of thick and not really what I was expecting. The waitress was a little slow and it took me 3 "asks" in order to get the side of ranch I was waiting for. I'm from Texas after all- we like Ranch with our pizza. I had my Deep Dish pizza deliver to my house, and I have to say the pizza arrived on time and super warm. We order a deep dish pepperoni and it had great flavor and cook right to perfection. The sauce was great and the dough was cook perfectly, the pepperoni was not salty and it just compliment the pizza very well. The restaurant also pack utensils, Parmesan cheese, pepper flakes, napkins, and paper plates. I will definitely order the deep dish again. read more

Out of all of the deep dish Chicago style pizza places on Yelp this seemed to have the highest rating. I was in Chicago a good 15 years ago and tried many places but don't remember the names and if my taste buds were any good back then. This place was a real hit! Excellent fast service, super delicious tasting pizza cooked perfectly. Although we loved the deep dish better than the thin crust. The cheesy bread was also very tasty even the mini cannolis ended a perfect meal. I found this place online while in Chicago for work. I heard so many great things from folk born in Chicago and people who frequent the city. I had high expectations for their food. I ordered delivery to my hotel, the food came on time, there was heat coming from the bag....All good signs. I open the bag and see the food, it looks good, it smells so good. I start with the sampler, boneless wings, cheesy bread, really really hard bread, what appeared to be fresh mozzarella slices & mozzarella triangles. It was all tasty, no longer warm, but tasty. Then the chicken parmesan, was very warm, however it was very soggy. I hoped it would have had a little crunch left when it got to me. The pizza, was so burned, I only ate 1 slice, as the burnt taste was too much to take. The driver was courteous and on time, the ordering process was easy, and customer service was great. Unfortunately the food was no where near what I expected from all of the great reviews on Yelp and the reviews I have received from friends and loved ones. A real let down. read more

Flew into Chicago airport and wanted to try some deep dish pizza since I'm from Texas. We order three lunch specials at 10:99 each one deep dish pan pepperoni,spaghetti and a thin crust Pepperoni all were fabulous. Served with choice of side salad, tomato basil soup. Pretty sure this pizza changed my life. There will now always be pizza, and then pizza after I've had this pizza. It has set my new standard!! We got a small pepperoni deep dish which was even still too much for my husband and I, especially after we also had cheese curds (which were also five stars worthy!). They have beer, which I didn't know until I got there, but the tall Stella was delish with the pizza. The service would unfortunately only receive 2.5 stars. We arrived at 4:30pm, so they weren't busy, there were literally five or six employees standing around chatting, and it still took almost 10 minutes after we were seated to have someone take our drink order. The drinks took another 10 minutes, and my husband's was wrong and my water forgotten. After we got our food the service got much better, and we left very happy campers. I had never experienced a Chicago style deep dish pizza and was going in with an open mind. I live thin crust pizza (ny style). When I arrived I was excited and ready to feast on this mound off pizza, that changed as soon as I was greeted at the door. The lady looked at me and said 1? I said yes.. she said you can sit at the bar. I said no I would like a table. She gave me a dirty look turned to the other waitress and said where should I put him, the lady said any table.. you see there was over 30 tables available! It was only 4pm!! My waitress that took my order was more pleasant and happy to be there. I ordered the fried calamari while I waited for my pizza. It was good, other fried veggies mixed in with it was a nice touch. When my pizza came out I was looking at the TV beside me and I heard the plate hit the table and guess who was dropping it off?!? Miss personality 2019!! What a grump! As for the pizza? meh.. Went here yesterday Sept 25th for a Birthday Lunch. Our server Hunter was so attentive and even under stress he did an awesome job. I recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Even with the lunch rush he and the rest of the staff pulled together to take care of business which was the customer. Great teamwork and Food was great . This review is coming wholly from a Chicago visitor/tourist from L.A. Prior to flying to Chicago, I googled the best Chicago deep pizza places to try and this restaurant seemed to always make it on the different lists I saw. We came here for lunch after shopping at the Fashion Outlets nearby. There was no wait when we arrived and the servers here are pretty attentive and kind. Parking is free in their private parking lot since we were outside of the city. Just a heads that orders for a deep dish pizza typically take around 30-45 minutes. Although our server told us that, our pizza came out in less than half an hour. We ordered the Chicago original which tasted like a deep dish combination pizza from L.A. We ordered a size small which cost around $20-25 and was enough for 2 people (my husband and I). I could only eat 1 slice and he ate 2. So there were definitely leftovers. A small could forsure feed 3 people. read more

Beautiful Rosemont outpost of this Chicago fave - nice bar area, relaxing lunchtime atmosphere - not crazy nor loud. Service is immediate and friendly! Food is amazing - fresh and delicious - as always!! This location features a really cool covered outdoor area with fireplaces - it wasn't open during lunch when I was visiting - sadly. Giordano's is our romantic 'date' place from when my wife and I first met. We haven't been back in a while, so on a whim, came in for some pizza. The place was super busy (call ahead for Saturday night dinners), but staff was on top of things and very polite even as they hustled. We ended up sitting at a high-top in the bar, which was available for just the two of us. Our server was the bartender (Kayla?), and she was absolutely amazing! Friendly, yet never stopped moving, serving, and checking. She really worked her station, and other staff helped with bringing out food as well. For this alone, the visit was worth it! The food... it's Giordano's! Great pizza, and we tried the Margherita with parmesan crust. Very good, plenty of food (leftovers for 1-2 more meals), and at a decent price. Since it was crowded and there was a wait, we also put in for a calamari appetizer. This was a good size dish, with decent calamari. Sure, maybe not the best, but definitely good. Overall, a great experience, especially given other locations which seemed to lack the great attitude we experienced here. Come in for some "Chicago Style" and have a great night out! read more

They say they're open from 11am- 10pm ... try getting a delivery from 2-4 ... it's impossible because they send their delivery drivers home before the dinner rush !!! What a joke. It's almost as bad as the location on Irving park. That location is only open 5 hours a day and is impossible to get a delivery from. This establishment tries to sell themselves as "Chicago Pizza" well like everything else in this city you have to deal with getting the run around to get any service. Personally I have tried to order from them when it's convenient for me and have actually had to order from other pizza establishments because of their inconvenient hours and business practices. We arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday and were offered a table outside or any place near the bar. We chose a high top near the bar and were promptly waited on by the bartender. We knew we wanted the deep dish and were prepared to wait the 45 minutes. We shared a house salad while we waited which was a very tasty combination of spring mix, shaved fennel, and parmesan tossed in a vinaigrette dressing. When our pizza arrived, the server offered to serve the first slices so we could admire the display of oozing, melted mozzarella. We had stopped here on our way to pick up our daughter at the airport, who unfortunately for us, landd early. The food is amazing here definitely recommend, it's also clean. My mom asked her to speak Spanish and she yelled at her saying "no i can't" but later on heard her speaking to others in Spanish. She could've politely said sorry I can't or don't want too. 3 . She asked my mom to stand up but she didn't hear her so she yelled "Ma'am stand up so I move the tables" and my mom answered I thought you weren't going to move them. First time having Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. It's a bit pricy, but definitely will fill you up and satisfy your pizza fix. Carrying it home, my arms actually got tired from how heavy it was! We got a large Super Veggie. It was quite tasty, but there was just too much cheese for our liking. There was literally half an inch thick layer of cheese over the entire pizza. The red sauce on top was a lot less than I expected. I would have preferred a quarter-inch less cheese and a quarter-inch more sauce. I feel like I gained 5 pounds from eating 3 slices. =P Still good overall though! read more
