The wait was 45 minutes for our all meat deep dish pizza and it was WELL WORTH the wait! Delicious, scrumptious, savory, flavorful, mouthwatering are some of the words that come to mind when I think of the mixture of flavors that exploded in my mouth with each bite. The place was full of energy, you can still have a conversation regarding the upbeat, energetic vibe. My family and I decided to satisfy our Friday night pizza craving and Giordano's in Rosemont. My first time at this establishment and I have to say, I like it! They have a large outdoor seating area perfect for summertime (but muggy) Chi! We were promptly greeted by our waitress and recommended to order our pizza right away then worry about apps, drinks and sides since the wait was so long - smart call. We went with the super veggie thin crust. Before you loose it, I should say, we like deep dish as well but we were in the mood for thin crust. =) We started with cheesy garlic bread and by special request - garlic parmesan fries. While the garlic bread looked tasty there was a funky after taste to it and I attributed it to one of the four cheeses used. I wouldn't order it again. The fries on the other hand were on point. We received our pizza faster than promised, probably because we ordered thin crust. I wasn't too happy with the pizza this go around because the vegetable to sauce ratio was off. There was an over abundance of vegetables but not enough sauce to account for them. The pizza tasted dry. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the ambiance. The patio has a large fire pit perfect for the fall months, the lighting is perfect and the view (depending on where you sit) is of the rosemont "waterfall". Service was prompt, attentive and our waitress was very intuitive of everything we would need of ask for. When I realized this place was walking distance from my hotel, I knew exactly what I was having for lunch. I walked in around 1 so the place wasn't very busy. I set at one of the high tables at the bar since I was by myself. I was immediately greeted and was told my waitress would be with me shortly but she still took my drink order. When my waitress arrived shortly after I ordered the Chicago classic deep dish. She informed me that the deep dish takes 45 min to cook. I said ok. She then said are you sure you won't be giving me the eye in 35 min because it still wasn't out. I laughed and said, why don't you bring me a small Cesar salad to help pass the time. I ate the salad and then played on my phone awhile until the pizza came out. It was faster than 45 min btw but again, it was a slower time of the day. Got off a plane at O'Hare and wanted some Chicago style deep dish. Found this place on Yelp. Close to airport, easy parking lot. The individual size pizza was just ok - the guy next to me got the regular small, and it looked amazing, but way too big for one or even two people. My individual size, by it's nature had too much crust vs the amount of cheese and sauce. Nice venue. Good TV's. The bartender - I think her name was Kristi - was outstanding. I'd go back. The service overcame my disappointment with the pizza. Not a cheap experience - 3 beers and a pizza was over $50 with tax and tip. Dined in on Saturday, May 18th. Was seated with no issues. Service was not ideal. She was so focused on getting our pizza order in that she never asked if we wanted something else to eat or drink. My kids wanted simple and my husband and I wanted the best deep dish near our hotel. We found Giordarno's delivered to our hotel and they had 4 1/2 stars with 1500 reviews. SAY NO MORE! We ordered a small "Meat and more meat" and got the kids a cheese thin pizza and some mozzarella triangles. Now mind you, we have been traveling since 9AM and we were all hangry...but we were not disappointed with our order! The kids were so satisfied with there measly cheese pizza. Now the deep dish... There is something about the sauce on top and cheese in the middle that was a game changer. The mozzarella sticks are not needed if you ordered delivery, but I can see why you would order them while you wait 45 minutes for your deep dish in the restaurant. You def would need a snack. It was an evening composed of driving to and fro the O'hare airport so we figured it'd be wise to choose a restaurant nearby. Giordano's is definitely a satisfying choice because of its famous stuffed pizza. It's a symbolic symbol of Chicago-style pizza and would definitely leave our foreign friends awestruck. And it most certainly didn't disappoint my friends and me. We arrived around 7pm on a weekday and were immediately welcomed by a wait staff and given a table for six. We started off with some garlic bread and then proceeded to ordering a 14 inch cheese pizza with sausage and mushroom. Took my family of 7 to Giordano's in Rosemont and shared 2 large pizzas. Service was good, ambiance was good, and the food seemed good at the time, but during the night each one of us got sick. Took over an hour to get our pizza! we were told it would be about 40 mins but not once did our waiter or anyone come back to tell us it was taking a bit longer. Not once did he come by and check on us or tell us that our pizza was coming or even just looked in our direction. First time eating at Giordano's in Chicago. I had an 7 hour layover with a friend at O'Hare airport and we decided to go out for Chicago pizza. We were one of the first customers to arrive and we were greeted by a large staff of friendly people. We were seated by a large window and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered her suggestions. We ended up having some garlic cheese bread and a thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza, which was more pan crust than thin crust. The restaurant was quickly filling with hungry customers. The cheese, so ooey, gooey, and melty you wouldn't believe. And super fresh mozzarella. So fresh it gives a sharp bite. And the sauce was sweet, savory, and oh so delicious. But the appetizer was also super good. We got the popcorn chicken, mozzarella triangles, and cheese bread. And not only did it look and smell good and look good, it tasted exquisite. Again the cheese was super fresh, and the cheese pull could stretch from the top to bottom of Willis tower. We chose to sit outside. There were people at two other tables when we arrived. One set leaving shortly after we arrived. I say all that to say that it was no where near busy. Around 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Our waitress was very inattentive and borderline dismissive. It's not that she didn't come outside frequently, because she did. She visited the other table very often. After flagging her down twice, I was able to request a refill for my cup that had been empty for quite some time. As she rushed to fill my cup, she poured the water all down my leg and foot. I took a deep breath and accepted her apology. Annoyed beyond belief and far from satisfied with this visit. We also noticed that when the waitress gave to go boxes to the table next to us, she put the boxes together for them. However, when we received our boxes we had to figure it out. Small things that go a long way. Be consistent. It would be a different thing if we came in with funky attitudes or if we were disrespectful in any way, but we weren't. Almost reverse of a thin crust. And due to size it just takes time for these pizzas to bake. I ordered their large pizza as we had 3 people our toppings were sausage and green peppers. Our pizza was perfect. We only finished half and took the rest home. To someone who never had deep dish pizza you need to think of it as a type of lasagna. The owner opened the door and gave us a warm welcome. We asked about their takeout menu and was shown the designated take out area while also being offered to order and wait in the restaurant. The staff offered us a cookie after hearing about our long day and the owner offered us a beverage while we waited. We went with the calamari and a medium thin-crust pizza. The food was lovely and perfectly prepared and the medium was perfect for two people. Giordano's absolutely saved our day after our flight was canceled and we had to stay overnight in the Hampton across the street. The restaurant was able to take our meal vouchers and even though it was a longer process to pay, the staff was super friendly in helping us to do so. Before leaving we expressed to the staff our sincere gratitude for their hospitality and outstanding service. If we are in Chicago again - we will be making another visit. It was strong, though unusually red from the muddling of the cherry. On Chi-Town they use the maraschino straight out of the bottle rather than a marinated variant or a black cherry. Delicious! My cousin has been living in Chicago for about a year and recommended this place for the best deep dish. Right after our flight lands, we go to the nearest Giordano's and placed our order for dine in. Even though it was a Thursday night, this place was still busy.
