    Spicy Shrimp

We got the Hot and Spicy Shrimp, right after trying Jenny's right down the road. And would definitely recommend Jenny's Shrimp (like 200 feet away) if there is a huge line for Giovanni's. The Shrimp was very small and the hot sauce we are pretty sure was just Tabasco sauce lol. If you do come here definitely get the Shrimp Scampi instead of the spicy shrimp, the garlic shrimp is a lot better. Other than that you get to sign the truck too which I thought was a cool concept.

First time here and it was soooo good!!! Staff was friendly as well, and the food court area was very clean and nice to hangout in! Definitely would recommend the garlic shrimp!

I've eaten at their food truck in North shore several times but first time in this locations. I thought their garlic shrimp tasted much better. I usually don't really like how their rice is cooked(too mushy )but the rice at this location was great!

The shrimp was fresh, perfectly deveined, and came out piping hot. The employee gave us a heads-up to get the hot sauce on the side. They weren't kidding, it's seriously spicy! It's a casual walk-up spot in the food court at the top of H Mart, but don't let that fool you. The tables were clean and well-kept, making it an easy place to sit and enjoy your food. Hands down, the best garlic shrimp I've ever had. Loaded with tons of real garlic and served over rice, every bite was flavorful and satisfying. I'd come back just for this.

~ * Packed with Flavor * ~ Inside a food court, upstairs of Hmart! (free 1 hr parking) Fast service! I brought it back home with me to Cali and it still tasted the same heated up

Half portion of spicy shrimp with garlic rice. YUM!!!

Pre-kids we enjoyed driving to the other locations when visiting Oahu but this location is a much easier experience with tired kiddos tagging along. Air conditioned, clean tables, proper bathrooms, no flies and easy parking. SAME amazing spicy shrimp. Kids did not want shrimp but enjoyed fried chicken and acai bowl from another vendor there. We are so happy to have this location as an easy option.

Garlic-Packed Scampi & Heartfelt Service Food (5 / 5): I ordered the Scampi Shrimp with Rice, and it was superb. The garlic flavor really shines without being overpowering, and it pairs perfectly with the well-cooked rice. The shrimp were a good size and cooked just right -- tender, not overdone. My parents are visiting Hawaii for the first time and they genuinely loved this meal. At around $17 a plate, it's a great value for the quality and portion. Service (5 / 5): I want to give a special shoutout to one of the employees who is deaf. Even without hearing, he went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. I also really appreciate businesses that create opportunities for individuals with disabilities -- and honestly, that team member deserves a raise. Ambience / Décor: The restaurant is located upstairs inside H Mart in a small food court setting. We went on a Tuesday night around 7pm and there were plenty of seats available for our family of four. It's casual, clean, and comfortable -- easy place to sit down and enjoy a warm plate of food. Overall: Flavorful scampi, fair pricing, and genuinely memorable service make this spot worth visiting. Not comparing it to any other location -- just judging it on its own -- and it absolutely stands on its own merits. Definitely recommended.

This location is a must visit every time I'm in Honolulu. Located above the H Mart, this Giovanni's is in the corner of the food court. Parking in the attached garage is free for the first 90 mins. Register your vehicle plate as it is now license plate based. We usually come early before dinner to avoid the crowds and have plenty of seating. They are always consistent with the flavor and buttery garlic goodness. You can split the plate with a friend or be like me and devour the entire thing in one sitting.

Love this place! Their shrimp is super flavorful, so rice is a must! Their portion size is pretty good with a generous amount of shrimp. The truck is often alongside Jenny's Shrimp Truck as well (which I honestly prefer...), but Giovanni's is definitely more popular. It super crowded and hard to find seating, but there are always chickens running around :)

    Chris R.

Def recommend this place even though this place is surrounded and crowded by tourists this place is killah! Get the shrimp scampi with extra garlic sauce it comes with two swoops of rice make sure you also sign their food truck with your name Food is excellent and customer service is amazing. I made a lot of friends in my time in Hawaii during Christmas and new years break! Will beback soon Mahalo!

If you're staying in Waikiki and there's a Giovanni's location nearby, there is no need to drive to the OG truck unless you really want the true Giovanni's experience. This location is inside of H Mart in the second floor dining hall with other food vendors. When I went for dinner there was no line and there were plenty of tables available for dining. The shrimp tasted just like the shrimp from the truck, though if I had to make any comparison, my batch did taste a bit saltier than I am used to. Maybe this was a one-off but the shrimp was still delicious. Parking in the area is okay since there is a parking lot for the grocery store but street parking is also available. Since I went for dinner, the area did look a bit sketch after dark so keep that in mind as well.

Last year, I went to North Shore with the plan to try Giovanni's but the line was massive and did not get a chance to try. When I found out there was a Giovanni's located inside Hmart, I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to go. There are other surrounding restaurants and the place had no line. The food came out quickly and the food court is air conditioned!!! I ordered the Scampi plate! The garlic rice is flavorful as well as the shrimp! The shrimp is slightly pre-peeled for you, which makes it very easy to eat. There is plenty of seating and it's overall a great vibe here.

    Kara B.

I love that we didn't have to drive all the way around the island for some Giovanni's. Ordered and didn't have to wait too long for my order. They call out your number through the intercom, so just keeps your ears open. When we got the shrimp, we love how it was easy to peel. Only junkie was there's no shrimp head lol. So you pay the price for not a full shrimp. Anyway, still was yummy. Will come back when craving :)

My friends & I came here for lunch and it was pretty busy. The line to order was out the door! I already knew I wanted Da OG Tostada with the infamous blue crab dip and shrimp ceviche. It was soooo refreshing & citrusy! The ceviche and well with the crab dip. The tostada was super crunchy despite all the juices from the dip and ceviche. My friends ordered the Kiawe Smoked Marlin tacos and the Ahi Tostada. They said they were delicious as well. The marlin was smoked and deep fried. The ahi was super fresh and the portions were generous! Lastly, we got chips and salsa and chips and guacamole. The salsa was on the saucier side (not chunky) and had a little bit of a kick to it. The guacamole was so good! You could taste the onions they added in it. The chips though. Omg. They were super crispy and perfect for dipping. The rice tasted oddly charred and smoky, which was not at all what we were expecting. It was honestly hard to finish. We tried mentioning it to the staff, but they seemed dismissive. It had great flavor without overpowering the freshness of the fish. - The wasabi ahi was also good, but be prepared for a strong wasabi kick that definitely clears your sinuses. - I also tried the Hawaiian ahi, which was a little too mild for my taste. - The miso tako ended up being my least favorite because it leaned much sweeter than I expected. Next time I'd probably go with the shoyu instead since I was looking for a bit more flavor. One thing they absolutely get right is the fish itself. It's incredibly fresh, buttery, and almost melt in your mouth tender. Compared to other well-known poke spots, I actually preferred the quality and flavor of the fish here. The only reason I'm taking off one star is the rice. They use regular jasmine rice, and I really think sushi rice would make a huge difference. Since poke is essentially fish and rice, the rice should complement the fish instead of feeling like an afterthought. Service was quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they build your bowl, you pay, and you're on your way. The shop itself is very small with no indoor seating, just a couple of outdoor tables, so I'd consider this more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to dine in. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the freshness of the fish alone. With sushi rice, this place would be even better.

This is the trifecta people want when they go to a restaurant and Herringbone has exceeded my expectations. I had the potato crusted tuna and I devoured every last crumb on my plate. The fish was cooked to perfection so much so that it melted in my mouth. It was amazing. I do not say the lightly because just two nights ago I had an "organic macadamia nut crusted fresh catch" at a ward restaurant and the fish was dry which left me disappointed. I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Trust me and if you don't, it's your loss.

There was one other table when we arrived, so busy-ness was not an excuse. We stood at the front while the servers talked and ignored us. After being seated, it took about 10 min for the server to greet us, another 20 min to get drinks, and then about 20 more min for the food. No sense of urgency, minimal concern for taking our order or greeting us, and he had to be reminded about a few items we ordered or asked for. It's a beautiful spot, but the service is why I likely won't be back.
