The Duck wing tortelli with the fresh black truffle on top was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had!! Everything else was still good but the duck pasta was just a level above everything else

Such a lovely spot. So happy I was able to stop by during my visit. As mentioned many times, reservations are quite a challenge. I was in town visiting and was lucky enough to grab a bar spot later in the evening on a really cold night. The service -- superior. I was done making the decisions for the day so I had my server guide the experience and he was not wrong! I started with the best cocktail I had in Boston, . So good! Next I went with the Semolina cakes which were lovely. Followed that with spice crusted bluefin tuna which I devoured. For the main course -- i wanted a representative dish since i may never get the opportunity to circle back and the pappardelle with wild boar was amazing! I ate every bite. Ricotta cheesecake was for dessert and it was sooo good. I had to take the last few bites to go to enjoy later. Definitely work the reservation challenge

Here's what we got for food: -warm semolina cakes -grilled peach and prosciutto di Parma - HIT -grilled rosemary flatbread - HIT -hiramasa crudo didn't care for personally -tagliatelle -bucatini all'amatriciana -pappardelle w/ wild boar - sorbet dessert Peach and prosciutto was a must order. The flatbread was crispy and tasty to me. The warm semolina cakes were good too. The crudo was a no from me unfortunately I thought the strawberries didn't mesh well personally and took away from the dish. The pastas were all cooked perfectly, al dente. Portions were on the smaller style, $350 for 3 people felt pretty heavy even with 2 drinks. Folks said it was the best we have up here but kindly not to me. I will say our server was A1! Very nice, knowledgeable and attentive.

Loved the pastas here! Both the parpadelle and the seafood linguini were delicious! The wild boar is tender and the sauce coats the parpadelle so evenly. The seafood linguini was the day's special and paired nicely in contrast with the heavily salted parpadelle. Was not a fan of the warm semolina cakes. Not only were they small in proportion but they were nothing special when it came to taste. Would recommend the burrata instead. The chocolate hazelnut torte was not bad altho the torte was a bit dry. Overall, the service was great! We were 30 min late but they were still able to accommodate us. We even managed to change our reservation time the day before. Worth trying!

The food and drinks were good. The steak was disappointing with a vein running through it-very chewy and not worth the $104 we paid for 2 of them. The service was slowwwwww. We had a 5:30 reservation and that is when they open. Bar is first come first serve so the entire restaurant and bar sit all within 5 minutes. We sat at 5:32 and did not get a drink until 5:55.....Crazy. 4 courses took over 2 hours. The coursing was off for us. Glad I checked this place off my foodie bucket list. If I come back I will try for a later res. 3 small bites, 2 apps, 2 pastas, 2 entrees and dessert with 5 drinks, bottle of sparkling and 2 cappuccinos was $418 plus tip.

I saw so many good things about Giulia & was able to make a reservation the day of! I thought it would be super difficult to get a res or would have to book in advance, so I was pretty surprised there were times available. We booked for 8:45pm & actually I didn't realize they close at 9pm but looking around the restaurant, they probably just stop taking tables @9pm? We started off with drinks, one off the specials on the wall & one from the menu. The special was more up my alley & as for the drink from the menu (yellow drink), I barely touched it and ended up sending it back lol... Here's what we got for food: -warm semolina cakes -grilled peach and prosciutto di parma -grilled rosemary flatbread -hiramasa crudo -tagliatelle -bucatini all'amatriciana -pappardelle w/ wild boar The warm semolina cakes were yummy! Though if I were to go again, I would probably skip and get the grilled peach & prosciutto di parma... this was my favorite! Definitely recommend ordering the peach & prosciutto if you decide to come here. For the crudo, the fish tasted fresh but wasn't too big of a fan of the strawberries in it. The pastas were all delicious, had good flavor & pasta tasted like they were made in house + al dente. I will say though that this is not an Italian restaurant where they've got huge portions & they're a bit pricey, ~$350 for 3 people. I've seen posts saying that Giulia is the best Italian restaurant in MA... I fear that is not true hahaha. Food overall I would say is 6.5-7/10. It was good but not mind blowing or anything. Our server was really nice & helpful w/ the menu though!!

We walked into Giulia on a Saturday night without a reservation and and were seated at the bar after just 30 minutes. The bartender was fantastic, super attentive, friendly, and gave us some amazing recommendations that really made the night. I came in with high expectations, and honestly, Giulia delivered. The pasta special and steak were absolutely incredible -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The dessert was just as impressive. The only slight miss for me was the prosciutto, which was just okay compared to everything else. That said, I would absolutely go back. Walking in and grabbing a spot at the bar might just be the move, especially since reservations are nearly impossible to get. A memorable meal all around!

We walked in on a Friday night not expecting to get seats since reservations for this restaurant seem to be hard to get, but to our surprise the host said there was seats at the bar. I totally understand why reservations are so hard to come by because it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Cambridge. The staff was so friendly from the host to the bartenders to the bar back and the food was outstanding. The pappardelle with braised wild boar was rich and comforting, with layers of flavor from the juniper and black trumpets -- easily a standout dish. The emmer farro casarecce was lighter but just as delicious, with the burrata adding the perfect creamy touch to the mushrooms and snap peas. We also shared the focaccia with Umbrian fava bean crema, and it was the perfect start -- soft, fresh, and paired beautifully with the flavorful crema. To top it off, the espresso martini was one of the best I've had -- smooth, balanced, and not too sweet and had a cute "g" on top with cocoa powder! We were also surprised it wasn't a crazy expensive meal. With one cocktail, one beer, one app, and 2 pastas it came out to be $100 before tip. Cannot wait to come here again!

Paccheri with spicy pork and beef sausage- so delicious!

I am so glad I was able to get reservations! RSVPs open 2 weeks online. I knew I wanted to snag any dinner spot and lucky made it. Service was amazing, loved the hostess! My server had great recommendations and regularly checked in on me and had great recommendations. I ordered 4 things: Hiramasa crudo $24- it was a perfectly balanced fresh dish. Great start to the meal. Paccheri with spicy beef and pork sausage $29- this is THE best dish I ate my entire trip. Hands down from start to finish it was delicious! The pasta was a perfect al dente, sauce was light, meats were savory which was perfectly balanced with complementing flavors of the broccoli rabe and tomato. I could eat this regularly and would come back just for this dish. So good! Tagliatelle $30- sadly this dish was disappointing. The pasta was soft and flavor was lacking. I don't recommend this dish nor will I get it again. Vanilla Bean panna cotta $15- this was the perfect ending to my meal. Now vanilla bean is my fav ice cream flavor so maybe I'm biased. The pan a cotta itself felt like I was eating soft clouds. The accompanying strawberries and cookies added such great texture and flavor. Man so good. You MUST try! Overall, I cannot wait to come back to try more!

I understand why it is so hard to get a reservation here. Everything was incredible! We ordered the unicorn oysters to start and I am a big oysters person. This were so different yet delicious! We also got the white asparagus which also had an incredible flavor and texture. My partner got a pasta dish unfortunately I do not remember which one but that was also very good and I got the haddock. I was thrilled with the sauce. This place exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go back and recommend. Seating is tight but the servers still make you feel like you're the only people in the room.

    House-Made Lamb Sausage
    Kayla B.

Reserved a spot 2 weeks prior to our anniversary on a Tuesday night. Inside is SO cozy and cute, packed on a week night at 8:30. We ordered some slices of fresh made focaccia to start which was nothing special but nice and freshly made (we simply just wanted some bread to munch on). For meals we shared the duck wing ravioli (4/5), Butternut Squash Agnolotti (4.5/5) and House made lamb sausage (5/5). I honestly think the portions were fair for the pricing and the quality is amazing. All ingredients were fresh and well done. I think the stand out was the lamb sausage as it was just a super unique take on lamb and was so so tasty. You can't go wrong coming here for a date night for some cozy Italian food made with a ton of heart. Menu changes seasonally which always keeps things exciting

Lovely dinner at Giulia. The pastas were all really good but the casarecce was especially noteworthy. Our server was delightful as well.

Last time I visited, I ordered their "Sea Dog" which they purport to be their special dish. I should have thought twice when the server told me it was "creamy," but they had a limited selection of food and I was very hungry--and, they made it seem like their signature dish! When it came, I immediately realized I had made a terrible mistake. One bite of the Sea Dog was all I could manage, as it was, in fact, very creamy, and very fishy. It was a very unpleasant eating experience, and I actually sent it back, which I almost never do. I will take some responsibility for ordering this dish, but I'm still puzzled by the whole thing. It was like creamy, fishy seafood mush enclosed in a sausage casing. The server did kindly offer to take it off our bill which I appreciated. On the bright side, the staff was very helpful and I really enjoyed the wine they recommended. I'd gladly come back for wine and the pleasant ambiance, but after the Sea Dog incident I'll probably stay away from their food for the most part.

I haven't personally tried their food, but my friend had the grilled cheese and thought it was great! This is a perfect spot for a girls' night, a date, or just to hang with a group of friends! I will say it's a bit tough being expected to tip 25% on an entire bottle of wine...although they no longer add the automatic gratuity, they have multiple signs encouraging people to tip and I did feel some type of way after we did not tip the full 25% on a bottle. The workers behind the counter aren't very welcoming or friendly and I did feel a bit judged for not tipping the full 25%. Hoping it was just in my head but it honestly didn't feel great. I hope they can work on their service because this place has amazing potential.

My partner and I couldn't decide what to get from their a la carte menu so we ended up going for the four-course tasting menu instead ($85/pp), picking the omnivore and pescatarian options to see if we could try more items. We were actually a little underwhelmed at first, but the tasting menu got better and better after each course. The tasting menu started with some of their in-house pickles and ferments. We had some onion, green beans, and cucumbers, which I wished were crunchier. Each pickle had a good amount of acidity but I wouldn't have minded if the flavors were punchier. The first course of the tasting menu was a salad. Visually it just looked like a pile of lettuce, but they added a savory garlicky sauce and a sprinkle of asparagus salt that allowed the dish to feel refreshing and hearty at the same time. The radishes were crunchy, peppery, and delicious, and we were very pleased to find that many of the later courses also included raw radish. We ended up getting different dishes for the second course, one of which involved deep-fried arancini-like balls of risotto with a creamy sauce, and the other had a cold plant-based loaf served with a vibrant garlic sauce. Both dishes featured some fresh greens that balanced the carby heaviness. By the time we got to the third course, we realized that Forage makes their vegetables shine. The omnivore course came with a steak while the pescatarian course had a pan-fried fish, both of which were also available to be ordered a la carte. While we thought that the steak and fish were seasoned and prepared well, the vegetables stood out to us even more. They weren't prepared in any crazily innovative way but the chefs made the natural flavors of the vegetables shine in a way that complemented the rest of the dish very well. After the third course, we added one optional cheese course ($22/pp) that came with even more radishes. The hazelnut shortbread was super buttery and everything went well together. I was already feeling pretty full and was glad that we only got one cheese course instead of two. Finally, the fourth course had a maple semifreddo with seaweed crisps and a caramel nut sauce. This was amazing and something that I'll think about for a long time! I could really taste the maple flavor in the semifreddo, and the cold creaminess went so well with the salty, crispy seaweed and nutty, buttery caramel. The balance of textures and flavors in the dessert was excellent. Along with the tasting menu, we added one wine pairing ($60/pp). We liked some of the wines so much that we asked for more information about them and learned that some of the wines are imported in small batches. After experiencing how well vegetables are prepared here, I'd love to visit during different seasons to sample their vegetarian menu items.

Looking for something good to eat and we happened upon this place within walking distance of our hotel. The menu was mysterious online and didn't really represent what we stumbled into that night. We show up and speak to who I believe to be the hostess. We had some nice small talk while we were heading to the table. Half way there she asked where we were from and we told her "the most beautiful land in the world, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis". IFKYK. She was like, "no way". Yes way, I say. She then tells us she lived in Memphis for a long time and this place is modeled after a place she waited tables at while she lived there. Turns out she was the owner. I asked what it was and lo and behold she says one of my favorite places in our delightful town. Flight. I then put two and two together and realize why the menu was so hard for me to understand online. It's just like Flight. You can get a made "flight" of foods or drinks or you can build your own flight of food from all of the choices. Now I'm stoked. I love Flight! I had a nice IPA and C had a nice fancy drink too. We both had soups to start. They were pretty good. We both had a flight each after our apps. Food was good, not great. Portions were insane. We probably left half of it there. It felt like such a waste. Had I known that it was going to be so much, I would have ordered a single dish. Each one seemed like a good sized meal in my opinion. My favorite things were the lamb chops and the grit cake that came with one of my dishes. I poked around at the others some but all of these. C's pot pie was interesting with a chicken tender shoved in it. I didn't care of her other two dishes. The Beef Wellington was fair at best. We skipped dessert as we were so damned full already. Nice place, great ownership, I wish the food was better. Very nice steak knife I will add. That means a lot and pushed the star up one. That may sound strange but I don't care. 26 - 65
