Servia was fantastic! My birthday buddy and I had an excellent dinner. She is vegetarian. We shared the brussels sprouts , which were so tasty, and she loved the Mushroom Farotto. I had the Roasted Lemon Chicken, which was delicious. The cocktails were well-crafted. We had plenty to take home, and the very kind Michaela neatly boxed up everything for us. Service was more European-style: it was a bit slower, with less checking-in. We could enjoy our drinks and food without interruption. Servia is a great place for a nice night out. I wanted to be nice, so I put down two stars. Those stars are for the food, which deserved 4 stars. I'd say the same for the drinks, except our server was so clearly not committed to serving us we had to get up and go find her. Mind you, WE WERE THE ONLY PATRONS IN THE RESTAURANT! The service was almost on purpose terrible. After ordering our food and drinks, we waited and waited. It was uncomfortable how empty the place was as nobody except us sitting in the room, no waitress, no manager, no busser, AND the AC was turned off - but not in the bar which is where the waitress, manager, and Bar Tender were happily hanging out, which I discovered when hunting down the waitress for a second drink. 10 minutes later the second drink arrived. She apologized for being "inattentive" acknowledging that I had to go find her. That was nice, but then her service didn't change. It was like she was leaning on her good looks to serve us. I regret the 17.98% percent tip I gave her. Bottom line, this felt like a restaurant management issue. Servía does not serve. read more

He recommended a red wine for my husband and a white for me and both were excellent. Food and Service are excellent here! The lamb tajine is one of my favorite dishes in Boston. Jordan, our server was an absolute pro. Kind, helpful and highly skilled! He took no notes, gave us good advice on the wine and even brought us some wine to taste when my mum struggled to pick. He remembered us from a visit about 6 months ago. The souvlaki to share is simple but well executed and is a great dish for sharing. Lastly the ambience is warm and refined without being stuffy. Three years after our first experience at Servia and it is still only a three star experience. The atmosphere is nice, the location is terrific, and the staff is genuinely helpful and friendly. But the overall execution remains a problem. There were only two servers on valentines day for a packed restaurant. Many people had to wait a long time to have their orders taken or to get attention for dessert of the bill. We had to wait about 30 minutes to gain a servers attention to pay the bill and leave. To add to the situation, they ran out of the only chocolate dessert on Valentines Day! The food choices are still intriguing, but if I want good Middle Eastern food I will go to Mood next time. read more

Having seen the reviews and after looking at everything on the menu, this was going to be a great place for our last meal - or so we thought. We started off with a few appetizers, both of which were a little bland. The stuffed zucchini blossoms were VERY bland and needed some sort of salt or sauce to give them some life and were very disappointing. The lamb cigar rolls were ok, but were supposed to come with a dipping sauce, but instead had a few dots of the sauce on the rolls themselves, and thus were a little dry and could have been much better and more flavorful. My wife got the lamb chops. They were good, but not as tender as we had hoped, and a little small. I got the duck and orange gastrique, and I really liked my meal. It was very good - easily the best dish of the night. When we got the bill, we saw we had been charged $8 a glass for 'sprite', which was actually lemonade, and not told that it was per glass, or what the cost would have been for the 'sprite' - otherwise we would have stuck to water. My one meal was not worth the overall bad experience we had here. read more

My husband and I came here on our last night in Boston. I was intrigued by the menu and we were excited to try everything out. To say it was a disappointing last meal in Boston is an understatement. The place was DEAD - maybe that should have been a warning sign. What we ordered: STUFFED ZUCCHINI BLOSSOMS (ricotta, mint, parmigiano reggiano cheese filling). Extremely bland. Gosh, it needed some salt or some sauce to be semi-edible. LAMB CIGAR ROLLS (braised lamb rolled in phyllo dough, spicy red pepper dip). There was no dip. Just a couple of dots on the actual rolls. Again, super bland and lacking flavor. GRILLED LAMB CHOPS (pomegranate marinade, vegetable caponata, wild berry compote). 3 mini lamb chops. Like mini. Barely any many meat to taste the pomegranate marinade. I felt bad for having to pick the chops up to GNAW on them to get any meat off. DUCK & ORANGE GASTRIQUE (mushroom farrotto, garlic & oil wilted broccoli rabe). Best decision of the night for my husband. gosh.. I wish I had gotten this. Very good! We skipped dessert because nothing caught our eyes. Then we got the bill... I ordered an iced tea and then asked for another once my meal came out. The iced tea was not on the menu, so shame on me for not asking about the price, but shame on this restaurant for not telling me I would be charged $8 dollars per glass. Mind you the glasses are around 6-8oz. So I paid $16 for 16 ounces of tea. Must have had to pull it out of the harbor. Super disappointing experience. I live in NYC but was in Boston for a work trip and staying nearby, so I popped in for dinner one night. SO so good. They just underwent a management change and refreshed the menu and the interior space, but are temporarily locked out of their social media account and struggling to drive traffic in as a result. We just moved here and per the reviews really wanted to check out Servia. My husband and I came tonight for dinner. I'll say everything we enjoyed first. The ambiance was great, modern/lively. I enjoyed my cocktail (one with mezcal and pomegranate) and my husband enjoyed his wine. Together we shared the mezze sampler, a lamb harissa kebab order, a chicken kebab order, and the servia salad. Ample food for us! The servia salad was amazing- well balanced with dressing and well seasoned. Felt very light and was a very generous portion. The veggies were chopped finely which I liked as well. The lamb and chicken kebabs were flavored and marinated well. Both orders came with two mini skewers. They paired nicely with the sauces they were served with and were just the right amount for us in terms of portion. The mezze platter was delicious. We enjoyed the walnut dip (muhammara), the spicy and regular hummus, and the baba ghanoush. The carrot labneh was a little sweet and creamy for my taste but still tasted good. The Tabouleh had a wonderful flavor, with a hint of mint that really added to its taste profile. I spooned some of the mezze dips into the Tabouleh which was yummy for sure. The part of the shared platter that didn't sit well was the pita. It was super hard to touch, and broke like cardboard. Some reviews mentioned black flour- not sure if this is why. My favorite part about Mediterranean food is when the pita is fresh, warm, and flavorful. We asked our waitress for warmer pita to see if this would taste better with our platter but she said it would be an extra charge. This was surprising to me because any Mediterranean restaurant I've been to generously offers more pita, especially if it has gone cold or hard. Otherwise we has a great experience. I would overall say Servia is a modern, lighter take on Turkish food but definitely could use some work in some areas especially the pita. read more

We were told a number of items on the menu were "not available today." When we ordered an item not initially excluded, we were told "oh, that is not available either." We waited literally one hour after sitting to get any drinks or food (not even bread!). When our meals finally came, one item was missing. We came in from Maine for a Sox game at Fenway and I was desperate for a meal that wasn't typical Maine Coastal as I'll have all summer. Servia fit the bill. My partner loved his Persian Fizz cocktail (yummy cardamom accents). We were eating early (post game and pre-drive) so had two mezes (stuffed figs and eggplant napoleon) and split one entree (a lamb tagine as good as I've ever had). I visited Servia recently with a couple friends and had a great Mediterranean dinner! Vibe: upscale without being stuffy. It's a small space - so not a ton of tables- I'd recommend a reservation. Drinks: we each chose cocktails and they were all good. I went with the Turkish Cosmopolitan and found it to be delicious. Food: The food was delicious! I am already having cravings for a couple of item I especially liked (and my friends enjoyed too). We had the: MEDITERRANEAN SAMPLER, Lamb Cigar Rolls (I loved these), FRIED ZUCCHINI BLOSSOMS, and a chicken tapa in a pillow my puff. The only one I would not order again was the zucchini blossom. It's my opinion- that there isn't enough zucchini in it and it fell flat for me. The dessert - we split 2 desserts. The baklava (the ice cream that comes with is also fresh made) and the chocolate tort with cherry inside. It was small but rich. Both were amazing. Admittedly I'm a sucker for baklava and this one was also delicious. Service: our service was lovely. Both the waiter and manager came around to make sure we were cared for during our dinner. What a gem!!! My husband and I stopped by for dinner on a quiet Friday night during our weekend getaway in the city. The interior was spotless, modern, warm and inviting. All good vibes just upon entering! Derek, the owner and Jordan, the bartender took such good care of us. I was in the mood for Mediterranean food and the meal most definitely satisfied me. We started with the olives, hummus, muhammara, and mussels. They were all very delicious although my ultimate favorites were the hummus and muhammara (compliments of the owner). So complex and tasty especially with the house made pita bread made from black flour. Our main dish was the sausage pizza. It was spicy and cheesy and the crust was deliciously chewy! Such a good choice that was. We ended the meal with a their house made baklava and pistachio ice cream. What a memorable meal! I can't wait to return the next time I'm in town. read more

Very aesthetic, upscale Mediterranean restaurant. Food I've tried: - MEDITERRANEAN SAMPLER ($28): the yufka bread was light and chewy, pairing well with the sampler. Flavor wise, it reminded me of a standard whole grain tortilla wrap. The hummus was on the "grainy" side, and it was not as creamy and smooth as I normally prefer my hummus to be. The spicy hummus was regular hummus, with added spices - it wasn't spicy per say, rather it was extra spiced. The baba ghanoush was pretty standard, flavorful but also lacking a touch of the regular creaminess of baba ghanoush. I could taste the individual chunks of eggplant more so than it being a cohesive texture. The tzatziki had the creaminess factor, and the textures were broken up by the cucumber slices. Overall it had a nice refreshing flavor. The carrot labneh was closest to the hummus, with a carrot tone. The muhammara was a cross between the hummus and baba ghanoush in texture. Flavor wise, there was a little nuttiness, a touch of smokiness. - FELAFEL ($15): it was nicely nutty with a pleasant texture. The jou jou bread tasted like whole wheat pita. Tasted like an above average felafel, not dry at all. - PEAR MASCARPONE PELMENI ($34): it tasted like a shell of pasta with savory fillings. It was definitely a combination of flavors I have not tried before, and I didn't know how to quite feel about it. For the price, the portion was quite small. - MOUSSAKA ($24): delicate layers of grilled eggplant and protein, in a red pasta sauce. This was the best dish out of everything I tried, as I thought the elements complemented each other. Everything was well seasoned and cooked. Atmosphere: - The dining area was not too big, but the décor is very classic, clean, and modern. - You do have to walk up a set of stairs to get to the dining floor, but there is an elevator making it quite accessible. Service: - The service was truly top notch, our server was extremely friendly and provided great recommendations. Overall: - I gave this restaurant 3 stars purely for the flavor. Every dish had highlights, but there was always a "it's good but ..." element. I will be honest and say I have probably grown to expect Americanized Mediterranean food and I cannot write a review from the point of someone who enjoys authentic Mediterranean food. But from my (limited) perspective, there was something missing in each of the dishes that prevented me from truly saying this is outstanding. I just stumbled in here one night on my walk through the Financial District in Boston and was totally blown away. I was immediately intrigued by their menu so decided to give it a shot. I sat at the bar which has the plexiglass separating the staff and guests. I felt totally safe from start to finish as the staff is masked up, seating is socially distanced and the entire place is IMMACULATE. I started with the Marrakesh Express which was a really cool craft cocktail with unique ingredients like Harissa and Aquafaba. The presentation was impressive and wish I took a picture! After that, I moved onto the Sultan of Swat which tasted like their creative take on a traditional cosmo. It was great...definitely had more than 1! They were so incredibly welcoming and hospitable that they brought me a complimentary plate of their homemade hummus w/ ancient grain pita they make in-house as well. It won me over...I dream of this hummus now. For my entree I ordered the Faroe Island Salmon with came with Beluga Lentils and a mixed greens salad. (I ordered the sauce on side as depicted, otherwise they drizzle it over the top). I am very picky about my Salmon but they nailed the temperature and the flavors kept me wanting more. Lastly, the PASHA PILLOW. I rarely order dessert but everything that came before was so good I wanted to experience as much of the menu as I could fit in my stomach. The picture says it all - edible gold, beautiful presentation...just deliciousness. I hadn't realized until I was ready to leave that they have an entire dining room and it's gorgeous and spread out. Wow. This was the best overall dining experience I have had in Boston. We walked into the most luxurious looking restaurant downtown. We weren't even sure if we were in the mood for Mediterranean but decided to give it a try anyway. We picked a table right by the windows to maximize the people watching. I can only imagine how much foot traffic is going to pass once COVID is under control. Derek came over to us and we instantly felt like his friends. He is so personable. He told us they opened in October after a year of delays. A restaurant opening during COVID... I can't even imagine. The entire staff was paid throughout the pandemic and never was left out to dry. The kitchen is almost all female staff! Derek gave us his business card before we left which he has his cell phone number on! He told us to text him anytime when we're coming in. He answers all of the restaurant texts in the morning for reservations (which you can also make online I believe) and other needs of customers. Take a look at the picture of my gin and tonic. That looks like a drink where the staff care. It's like a whole garden in a huge goblet! It was delicious. My boyfriend also got the Moscow mule which came just as beautifully dressed. The drinks were delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Now to the food. My mouth is watering as I type this. We started out with the falafel. It doesn't come with hummus so we got that as well (this was comped by management, just another thing showing how much they care about their customers). The first thing I noticed when I swiped the pita through the hummus was the quality of food. The quality stands out above all. We chatted with our waitress about this and she said basically everything there is organic, homemade, never frozen, and mindfully sourced. The HUGE chickpeas that come from Canada... nope! They buy them from a Middle Eastern supplier all natural. You can tell in the hummus, it makes a world of a difference. The hummus was creamy. The falafel was unbelievable. The sauce it comes with completely blew me away. It complements all of the flavors perfectly. Next came the meat cigars. When I say they melt in your mouth I am not kidding. I do not have words for how delicious these were. Inside is lamb and some other great flavors. The filo dough wrap was perfectly flaky and buttery. These were our favorite thing on the menu. Next (not pictured), we got the shrimp skewers. These were literal full shrimp (head, shell, and everything) poked through a stick and grilled to perfection. The waitress said they grill them this way to keep the moisture in and flavor intense. They succeeded at that. You have to take apart the shrimp (our waitress offered to do it for us she was so wholesome) with your fingers! The dipping sauce had a harissa/hummus flavor... very complementary. Next were the sliders. Wow wow wow. Again, you can tell the quality of all of the sourced ingredients. The harissa on the burgers was a little spicy but I personally think it's such an amazing and intense flavor. If you prefer things less spicy, just ask for that on the side. The medium rare little patties were perfectly cooked. For our last course we went with one of the pitzas! As you can see in the photo, the pitza crust is made of some kind of ancient grain. It's dark in color. It's also delicious in taste. The pizza was equal parts greasy comfort food, quality ingredients, and upscale dining. Overall, the experience at Servia is unmatched. We cannot wait to go back to see our friends there and try even more of the amazing food on the menu. Every single plate we tried was out of this world. They have sit down dining (which you might need to make reservation online to get a table on Friday night), bar seats, high table seats and outdoor seats. The two rooms are super bright, clean, enjoyable and well decorated. Food: we ordered Mediterranean sampler ( which is a bunch of Mediterranean dips served in super artsy plates) def a must order if you want to try a variety of amazing dips)! Stopped in here for lunch and I'm so glad I did. It was a cute, inviting, kind of modern yet inviting space at the same time. It's a small dining area, and you can see the few people in the kitchen getting dishes ready. Everything that came out looked delicious and it definitely made me want to try all of it. I ordered the moussaka and hubby got the pastitsio. We also ordered the beet and lebneh salad to share. All of it was phenomenal. The salad - WOW. The lebneh was so creamy and herby, and the bit of citrus just put it over the top. It really was like a dance of flavors that were really complementary of each other. My moussaka was everything. Comforting, warm, and full of savory-goodness. The tomato sauce was fresh and yet so sweet. The layers were absolute perfection. I'll be dreaming about this meal for a while, and would LOVE to come back here for another round. The portions are perfect- not overly gargantuous, but not too tiny either.
