Just visited this place with the family and food was ok. Not sure if I would come back. Reason being is that the restroom /toilet was filthy. Restaurant was not full at all, maybe 2 couples and they were leaving. I don't understand why restroom (left side one) was not cleaned. I have pictures but prefer not to post them. I hope the manager and or owner reads this and works on this. I get it, no place is perfect but there is no reason to not have clean toilets without stains with the unmentionable. Unfortunately this makes me question the cleaning practices of the kitchen as well. read more

Amazing little spot on the strip. We were walking by and randomly stopped here and I was surprised how good everything was. We tried the pizza, pasta and chicken parm sandwich. All of them were great. You would not think that such a casual spot actually has such good food. Also, they serve beer and wine. A few tables outdoors which is nice to enjoy food and people watch. If you are a teenager stay far away. We got to this place, after ordering they let us know it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. We ended up waiting over an hour only to get flimsy and raw pizza. This place is always so busy yet we never made time for it. What a foolish decision to delay this deliciousness. We sat in our seat against the wall watching the doyers play the Padres. As a Giants fan, I was more interested in the food menu, draft beer selection, and peaking at other people's tables to see what they ordered. I ordered a 21 oz of Deschutes Fresh Haze. My friend is right , this Haze Craze has these beers tasting like orange juice . Good, but I'll try the Eagle Rock Populist IPA next time, support a local and likely endure a hoppier experience . So our food arrives , a 16 inch Florentino featuring chicken , artichoke hearts, pesto clumps and ricotta with a garlic butter sauce . Holy Smokes are you kidding me?! This is one of the best pizzas we've had in SoCal. Plus at around $23 it's a fair price . We also had some wings that were unbelievable. Go with the buffalo and garlic paremesan. But it belongs on my list for family style Italian, kid-friendly, well-priced, and quality. For over 50 years, they've been providing this service to us all. And the town is appreciative. The inside was packed full of families. A little patio out front with several street side tables. I like the menu. Full of pizzas, pastas, salads, and draft beers -- and even though I ordered a few things, seeing the plates of salad and pastas walk on by were grand and beautiful. Next time for sure. What did I order? Let me tell you! ============================ 1. Meatball & Sausage Plate -- Made by an 83 year old Sicilian man each morning, this was nothing short of amazing. Loved the sauce, loved the balls (perfect consistency), and loved the sausage (not housemade, but great quality and cooked to perfection). [$8.99, 5.0 stars] 2. Famous Garlic Balls -- Fried dough balls dipped in garlic butter sauce with a light sprinkle of fresh parmesan cheese. How can this be bad? This is a solid pizza spot for us Glendalians. It might be short on the charm you might want from a small pizza joint, but the pies are solid and the other items have all been delicious. We lean towards their great meatballs as a topping and mix up other veggies with them. The sausage and meatball side is awesome as well. And we always add the fried zucchini and the grilled wedge salad. Good place, good price, oh and some choice beers available as well. read more

We had a party of 12 in there on a Saturday night to celebrate 2 birthdays. Excellent service and food. I would highly recommend! We ordered 2 large orders of garlic balls (everyone's favorite), 2 meatball/sausage plates, 2 bruschetta platters, 2 pastas and 2 pizzas. We were all happily full and had a little bit of leftovers. I heard multi people rave about the rigatoni and meat sauce pasta we ordered, simple but the sauce was memorably delicious!!! Absolutely love this spot so much. I genuinely try stop by anytime I get off work early and get a fresh pie with some French fries. I also always get a beer and choose a random one everytime I go in!! I always do a half and half pizza and some fries with ranch and it's always incredibly bomb. The staff is super friendly and lovely and the owner is a super cool guy. There is a female worker who is just incredible and full of life as well as a gentlemen who wears a hat, he's amazing as well as he's served me the last couple of times and always makes sure we are taken care of!! There is also a younger gentlemen who works there who is super polite and always on top of everything. The food is incredible, the people working there are incredible and this is my favorite pizza spot ever, yes you heard that right. read more

First time here. Was looking for some place both my son and I could agree on. Our server was nice and made recommendations that were great. The servings are plentiful and the food was delicious. My sonshine had the Cajun Chicken Pasta (the serving was so big we could have shared) and I had classic spaghetti with their signature sauce and one big meatball plopped right smack in the middle. This place is worthy of 5 stars, but a group of customers huddled in the corner that appeared to be regulars were EXTREMELY LOUD!!! Some of the staff participated in the noise while the other staff did nothing, but would look at them and then look at us. Small pizza parlor on the west side of Montrose. Thanks to my softball team's manager for this find (Thanks Fernando). We finally made it to Giuseppe's after a few times of planning an after-game dinner visit. The pizza, pasta, sides/appetizers and service here is good. Hence the 5 stars. What put Guiseppe's over the top is their special deal for big groups. Our whole softball team drove all the way from Pasadena after our game. The have a $10 per person (drinks and appetizers not included), AYCE pizza and pasta. Yes, your whole group will pay $10 for as many pizzas and pastas you want. You can even take home the pizza and pasta if you have leftovers, yes, $10 a person. They have big screen TV's for your MNF game! Overall, we ordered the pizza and pasta deal and some of us ordered extra wings/cheese balls/salads. Everything was good! Definitely be back in the future for another softball team outing! Go Renegades! Credit cards accepted and plenty of street parking and a couple of free parking lots. The closing hours vary so check with the restaurant. read more

My last experience that involved food at Giuseppe's was great. Unfortunately, that was a long time ago. Since then I have not been able to order from there because of TERRIBLE hours. Mondays are closed, as well as all hours that are not 3pm-8pm. I guess business must be booming and the margins sky high? I did manage to place an (online) order in the narrow window, only to get an email 15 minutes later that the order was cancelled because one menu item could not be fulfilled. I got a call almost 7 minutes after the email confirming the detail, and I asked to replace the order with something they did have. I was put on hold for 3 minutes only to be told that they were closing. This is with ample time to go before the precious 8pm closing time. I will not kill myself to return here even if the pizza is pretty good. I can go up or over one block and have Byblos or Big Mamas Papas. Or over to La Canada and have Hello Pizza, LC Imports or Georgee's. read more

I have been here a couple of times, but this review was for a visit the day before Thanksgiving. This is a casual place and very comfortable--with TVs in every corner playing sports. We came here during happy hour, which has wine and beer specials (with a good selection of both). We started with bruschetta--which was very nice with nice, rich tomatoes and perfect bread. For the pizza, we ordered the vegetable and the Sicilian. I loved the Sicilian. There crust is crisp and thin. I loved the thick bites of Italian sausage and the capicola was sublime. We hosted a teenager bday party here after some bowling. The waitress was very nice and attentive. She brought out the pizza, garlic balls, and plenty of drinks quickly, which was great since we had 10 hungry and thirsty kids. I believe they're using premade doughs and just keep it frozen till throwing toppings and into the oven but they didn't cook it enough for the dough to get nice and warm, it was literally cold like 40-50°... can't believe they serve this level of pizza for 22$. Should be a 10$ pizza max. My pizza 16" had 2 toppings. Cheese and basil. 22$. Go figure. I can get a 16" delicious authentic Neapolitan for less than that.
