I have been eating at Guiseppes for well over 18+ years. Great pizzas. Greats pastas. Good atmosphere good people. This past few months I've noticed the cheese on the pizzas used are not stretchy any longer !! And ! The ingredients slide off the dough. So I've been trying to have them make it well done ... but nope it's worse -Owners have changed ? Whatever it is. You're losing loyal customers. Me being one of them. Don't be cheap with your ingredients. Prices have gone up ! Yes ok ! And I don't mind paying more BUT PLEASE Don't CHEAP OUT ON YOUR INGREDIENTS! This is the third time I've been here. I tried to give it a chance three times, but it's always the same slowwww service. Either they forget to bring a drink to the table or forget one of the people's orders. When you have kids, it becomes more annoying because the kids are hungry and it takes so long for the food to come out. Food quality itself is good, not the best pizza I've had, but good enough. I hope they would work on their service, and yes, I know the pizzas are made fresh, but the other appetizers can be brought out sooner while we wait for the pizza. And if the kitchen forgets the pizza order, don't "spin" the mistake. It's obvious. read more

We tried Giuseppe's tonight for the first time and we are glad we did. I took off one star only because it was difficult to figure out the seating situation when you walk in, I'm still a little confused. We sat down and waited quite a while to get someone to notice us, but once they saw us we had great service the rest of the evening. The food was hot and drinks were cold. What more could you want? Definitely a good place for kids and families, wouldn't recommend for a romantic date night. Extremely rude server!! Never allowed my husband to order a drink, assumed he wanted water. This is our family's favorite local pizza spot for the last 3 years. We enjoy coming to enjoy the food and watch Dodger games. We've even had a few of our son's family birthday parties. My family loves the pizza and salad at Giuseppe's. We go at least once a month and eat in. The food never disappoints! Last weekend we went to celebrate my son's birthday and there were 15 of us. No one was there when we arrived but it started to get busy as time went on. The waitress was the only one there. I felt bad how hard she was working, but people were patient. She was an excellent and attentive server who was doing a great job in spite of being the only one there for basically a full house. I noticed that the owner of the business was there too but I did not see him helping her much, which I thought was telling about what kind of manager he is. Overall though, I highly recommend this place for great pizza and a great wait staff, but unfortunately, not great management. read more

I love this place!!! New to the area but I definitely found my new home at Giuseppe's !! They have an incredible happy hour and something new everyday, except weekends, I think! Anyways, the pizza is incredible! I've ordered the BBQ pizza and the Margherita pizza and they were incredible!!!! Also, you HAVE TO TRY THE GARLIC FRIES!!! Must must try them!!! They will change your life like they've changed mine. Also, wing Wednesday you can try the sweet and spicy sauce, it is finger licking good!!! This place was a pit stop for us from a road trip. I will say the yelped and other reviews fooled us. I thought this was more of an intimate restaurant vs. a little fast food pizza place. Plus side there is a server which is nice. You do not have to go up and order your food and do everything yourself. Ambiance: Music way too loud, playing rock heavy metal. Nobody wants to hear that when they are trying to have a dinner on a Friday night. Exsp, people who are from Montrose/La Canada. Know your audience people! Service was decent, nothing special. Pizza was alright, I've had better. Nothing was special about the sauce or crust. Very basic. Salad was decent, a lot of purple onion that was super thick. In my opinion, there is better out there. Also, restaurant is way too bright. Dim the lights, upgrade the place and do a good cleaning. You will attract way more customers and profit more. Will not return. This is not a review based around the food but the work environment that i witnessed during my time inside the dining area a while back Some things have been dwelling on my mind lately & i felt it important to let it known Who I assume was the owner, was interviewing this lady nearby & the lady was being fairly cordial, i assume it was a job interview, but the whole time this man was just very intense. This man's questioning boils down to "we are gonna work you hard, you better not be a bum" & was generally very intense in that, even going far enough to complain about lazy people not working hard enough for what is essentially a minimum wage job. I am not quite sure what led the staff, in general, to be so surly, but it made for a fairly unpleasant experience overall. We arrive around lunchtime and were met by a less than enthusiastic guy in a short sleeve button up that had us move tables. We waited probably close to fifteen minutes before we were served or greeted by anyone else. Mind you, they had one table on the patio, maybe three other tables being served indoors. The server, a young blonde woman, was not polite or friendly. Either she was in a bad mood or is just *poorly* experienced as a server. She took our drink order, tossed our drinks on the table, giving each of us the wrong drinks. She took our order, the pizzas took about 35/40 minutes to come out, as I watched a table of four get greeted, served, and eating before us (we ordered single items). Our server never came to check on us or how our meal was, which is poor customer service. Upon bringing us the check, she tosses the little check book at us and walked away, no words exchanged. This would've been all fine and dandy, but I get the impression, had we not tipped her, which we did despite not really earning it, I imagine the server's indignation would've been wildly disproportionate to the quality of service she gave us. Lastly, the pizza was mediocre (at best). $60 (w/tip) for 3 subpar personal-sized 10" pizzas and a single soda, like, you're joking. read more

The staff is nice if they acknowledge you but 50/50 chance on getting your order right. The food is hit and miss. Meatballs are great so you would think the meatball sandwich would be equally good, but no, terrible. Meat lasagna, great. Roasted wedge salad, great. Buffalo pizza, great. Garlic knots, good sometimes and hard as a rock other times. If you want to order delivery they may arbitrarily cancel your order, and they will not let you know, so watch your email. Unless you are looking for a roasted wedge, meat lasagna or a spot that sells pitchers of beer in Montrose, I recommend skipping this place. Try Amecis on Foothill for comparable pizza. read more
