I was very disappointed with my wedding hair experience with Glamsquad. Although the company ultimately refunded both my trial and bridal hair services after I disputed the experience, the issues should never have happened in the first place. After my original stylist completed my trial and documented my desired look, she canceled three days before my wedding. The replacement stylist arrived with no notes, photos, or information from my trial. I was asked the day before my wedding for inspiration photos after I had gone through an entire trial! Important details discussed during the trial, including using fiber powder to fill visible scalp areas, were not communicated, and my makeup artist had to improvise with eyeshadow instead. The stylist who showed up did her best, but the failure was Glamsquad's lack of communication and coordination. I hired them so I could trust that the details from my trial would be carried through to my wedding day, so I could focus on the other important details of my special day. This was one of the worst in-person service experiences I have had. The stylist assigned to my appointment stated that she does not use the app, which made it impossible for me to contact her through the platform. For a scheduled 5:30 PM appointment, the stylist arrived 40 minutes late. I was required to remain on the phone with customer service for over 30 minutes just to confirm whether the stylist would arrive at all. Once the appointment began, the service was extremely rushed and unprofessional. The stylist did not follow my provided inspiration photos, did not apply hairspray to my updo until I specifically asked, and completed the entire service in approximately 15 minutes. As a result, the hairstyle did not last through the event. Additionally, the stylist who arrived was not the individual shown on the app profile, which was both concerning and uncomfortable. When I requested to cancel the appointment and receive a refund due to the lateness, misrepresentation, and poor quality of service, I was told this was not possible. Overall, this was a highly disappointing, uncomfortable, and unacceptable experience that fell far below any reasonable standard of service. I am requesting this issue be formally reviewed and escalated. read more

They charged my card 16 times. I spent hours with my bank and the computer trying to find someone to help me at glam squad. We were visiting Chicago for my brother's wedding and we had no idea where to book for hair and makeup for me and my mom. We found Glamsquad online and I booked a consultation with their rep and she was able to book us for both services 11am-1pm. The booking process was easy, deposit was simple to pay, and I received a lot of confirmation emails and texts. On the day of the wedding it was horrible.... The stylist and makeup artist arrived 30min early and set up. The hairstylist asked where my mom was and I said she would be at my room soon and she said "she needs to hurry up we are 20min behind." They arrived at around 10:30am and my appointment time was 11am how were we late?! I told her my appointment time was 11am and she kept arguing with me until the makeup artist stepped in and told her the appointment didn't start till 11am. The hairstylist looked at her phone and said well I would like to get started. We booked up-dos at the highest price and the hairstylist said we only booked blow outs and light curls. I told her that's not what we booked for a wedding. She said well I only have time for curls. I told her to curl my hair and spend more time on my mom's because she is the mother of the groom. She barely curled my hair and my mom's hair came out horrible. She barely touched her hair and it looked like a 2nd grader curled my mom's hair. She finished me and my mom together by 12pm (she was scheduled till 1pm). Since had an hour left I said please spend more time on my mom's and do an up-do she said no because the time was up and she didn't have more time in her car meter. I said I would pay her car meter and said no she had no packed up and left. She was booked till 1pm and left me and my mom with no hair style whatsoever. She wouldn't fix anything and was not receptive to any feedback. She was extremely rude. The makeup artist was amazing. She made me and my mom look beautiful and spent the entire booked time with us. She even felt bad for us and apologized for the hairstylist (even though she didn't t have to). I rushed to find the closest salon who could do an up-do for my mom and redo my hair. Paid for another set of hair services additional Uber rides all because she added additional stress to our timeline. When I contacted Glamsquad customer service they gave me the run around and I had to contact them 4 times before they finally responded. NEVER AGAIN! read more
