I dropped the car off for what I thought was a a pretty complicated problem. The estimate was about $1200 and I wasn't sure I wanted to pay that much for a repair. But I was in between a rock and a hard place. Mike told me that it might be less, but shouldn't be any more than that. He told me exactly what they were going to do, including supplies, and the whatnots. He said it should be done by Thursday, but on Friday morning he called to let me know it was done. When they tell you it might be less, you always hope for it, but doesn't usually happen. but in this case, it happened. They got the broken piece out of the oil pump and saved me more than $350. They cleaned up the engine and make it look new again. This was my first experience at Glenn's. I called Mike about two days ago with an issue with my starter. I brought it in and he diagnosed that it was the battery in the back of my trunk (sorry for the mess). He had to call a few shops around to find the right battery since mines was installed in the back it had to had the right tubing to vent out. He finally found one during this quarantine time where a lot of shops are out of business. His communication was very professional he notified me on any type work he was about to do. I first came to Glenn's due to a vibration and a leak when driving. I couldn't take my car to my usual mechanic because I didn't wanna drive far due to the leak so I called up Glenn's and made an appointment, the receptionist was very nice and put me down for an appointment. Once I dropped my car off, I believe it was Mike that called me up and said that he felt I should take the car to a transmission specialist because it was leaking a lot of transmission fluid. He recommended me to another shop and they got my car taken care of and did a great job, obviously Mike just wanted my car to be in the best hands and he felt that for the issue my car had it was best suited for a transmission shop, honest guy! The second visit was for a clicking noise from my rear wheel, this time Larry was going to be working on my car. He took it for a drive, put my car on the lift and he checked everything out, came to the conclusion that it was most likely the axle. I told him I had warranty on the axle as I had changed it out myself before. Unlike most mechanics, he recommended I take my car back home, save myself the money and do it myself since I already knew how, and if that's not crazy enough, he didn't even charge me for the diagnosis! Talk about an honest mechanic who just wants the best for his customers cars. Oh and on top of all that, he even loaned me his snap on socket so I could get the job done, note this is the first time me and Larry have met. Great experiences both times, I won't be taking my car anywhere else from now on, highly recommended! read more

I need to recognize Mike's customer service, flexibility, and great attitude. Needed to get my old Camry smogged for registration, and have been putting it off because of the Covid19 stay at home restrictions. (I had been to Mike's shop before, so not a new customer). For the time being I'm by myself, my wife having gone to Northern California to help a friend just before the stay in place was announced. Add to that, I'm almost 70, and have multiple high risk health issues, so I was concerned how I could manage to get the car to Mike, get it smogged and an oil change. Right now no one available for transportation so I could drop off the 1998 Camry. Called Mike and after discussion he said he only smogs cars 2000 and newer, but he OFFERED to pick my car up a couple days later, do the oil change and misc., then personally take it to another shop down the street with old car smog equipment. Mike came and picked up my car, quickly texted me a very reasonable quote for the oil change, plus the smog. He got it all handled in a few hours, then we handled payment and invoice over the phone/email to minimize contact. He then brought my car home and dropped it in the driveway where it had been in the morning. All of this was done with a positive and upbeat attitude, while working shorthanded, under difficult circumstances. Can't say enough about that level of commitment and customer service. Way over and above any reasonable expectation. If I could give Mike 6 stars on a 5 star max rating scale I would. I will most definitely be back, and recommend Mike's shop to you, and everyone. Recently, just days before a planned vacation our radiator began to leak. Mike and Larry were able to get our truck in and out quickly so that we could go on our scheduled trip. An honest and competent auto service shop with good customer service can be a very difficult thing to find. Mike was so thorough in going over my mothers Infiniti I30 and did a complete service for a very reasonable price. In addition, he was able to identify the issue with her remote but didn't charge me and advised I take it to the Infiniti dealer for a replacement. I will always bring my cars to Glenn's Auto Service and Mike. His business is doing well and almost all of his referrals are by word of mouth, from one happy and loyal customer to another. We have a 2003 Toyota Camry that would have it's check engine light on. When tested, it would say catalytic converter. Have Mike at Glenn's Auto take a look. He figured out the real cause and now the light is no longer coming on and emissions testing passed. All is well! read more

I was recommended that these guys were good...this was after I already had a good experience. I needed to replace a part to pass a smog test...went to another shop up the street who recommended I buy the part and come back...which I did...when I came back right away, they said to come back at 4pm and that they needed to let the car cool before installing so it will take 2 hours. On my way home, I just thought I'd stop and ask to compare prices...these guys beat the guys up the street by 20 bucks and laughed at the idea of waiting for it to cool off and said they can do it within the hour. Of course, I choose to go with them...and while waiting, I got a call from my jewelry store that I manage becuase we just got robbed...told them I would be there asap, my car was up in the air being repaired...they had the job complete within 25 minutes when the other guys told me 2 hours.. and I was able to rush back to work and take care of a crazy problem. My friend who recommended these guys said they are good honest people who won't overcharge you and get the job done...and I had already experienced exactly that. Thanks for fixing my car. For honest and thorough service, I could not recommend Glenn's more highly. I'm new to the area so I was worried about getting ripped off by a mechanic I didn't know but thankfully I found this place. I took my car in for a "check fuel cap" light that I thought was related to lower mpg. Glenn worked on my car for 3 days and by the end, wasn't 100% sure he knew what the problem was so rather than throwing parts at it or selling me something that might work, he straightforwardly told me he wasn't sure and didn't end up charging me anything. Other shops would have probably charged me a couple hundred for labor. I've had my car at 2 other mechanics since and they can't seem to figure it out either so I wouldn't say this says anything about Glenn's diagnostic abilities -- its just a weird problem I have going on. I made a yelp account to give this place 5 stars. Thats how impressed I was with Glenn's honesty and communication throughout the entire process. read more

I had a problem with my 2015 Kia Optima It was squeaking so badly somewhere it drove me nuts. We had heard really great things about Glenn's Auto so we decided to give them a try. I really needed my car to get back and forth to work so I was concerned because I couldn't leave it for a long time for them to figure it out. This is way past due but I literally made a Yelp account just so I could rate this company even though I can see they have no problem getting 5 stars! Anyway my situation happened months ago, maybe even a year ago. I'm a girl who knows nothing about cars and if the owner really wanted to, he could have made about $3,000 from me. I don't know the exact terminology of what was wrong with my car but definitely would have cost me thousands of dollars. Glenn was so honest, kind, and helpful. Before even looking into his own prices he researched the problem for me and discovered that the broken piece was still under my warranty! Of course I didn't know that because I'm a chick and know nothing about cars. But he took the time to explain to me what to do, basically said "Tell them it's still under your warranty and they'll look it up. Don't tell them "xyz" because they might think it's your fault but tell them this." During this time, I took it upon myself to research what else was on my warranty and found out I could get a paint job done too! I saved over $5,000 and paid nothing thanks to Glenn for telling me what to do and what to look for. These people are amazing, honest and know their stuff and I really hope they are getting the credit they deserve! read more

Went in for a 40 point inspection. Mike was very thorough in going over my car. He took his time in explaining the results and answering my questions. Larry did a great job in repairing the electrical in the trunk and getting my license plate lights to work. Misty and I had great conversation while I waited. I had a great experience. There customer service was wonderful. I was looking for a AAA approved mechanic and this place was just around the corner from where I live. I purchased a car battery from AAA. I had that battery for Less than a year and it gave up on me while the car was parked. (No I did not leave any lights on) Let me just say that these batteries are the worst! I went to Glenn's to go exchange that awful battery. I appreciated the guy's upfront honesty. There is nothing better than great service, reasonable prices, and upfront honesty. I will gladly be back to service my car in the future. I have had my battery for a year now and its still good. The guy at Glenn's informed me that AAA sales one of the worst batteries. They are not meant for long term. Ugggh that's annoying. Im just glad that the problem was just the battery. They did not try to cross sell or up sell me anything I didn't need. read more
